Let's just say this... Maria is AMAZING! I will NOT have anyone else EXCEPT Maria touch my eyebrows!! Right before the pandemic shutdown, I got my first microbladed eyebrows from a different artist that did not listen to any of my requests and permanently put horrific block eyebrows on my face. I left feeling hopeless, angry, and extremely self conscious. I reached out to Maria (referred from a friend) who does lightening removal treatments and I sent her my photo. She told me to come in on her day off to see me right away! She was so caring and did an immediate saline eyebrow removal. There was a huge difference! I met Maria several years ago when she was doing gel nails. She was a perfectionist who used fine products so when I needed to have the color removed from my eyebrows (done elsewhere) I naturally sought her out. The studio is very clean, airy and secure. During the consultation, Maria took the time to explain the process in a thorough, scientific manner. She answered all of my questions and was able to book my appointment within the week. At the actual appointment, I was nervous that I might feel the process. Maria placed the numbing gel on my eyebrows, gave it time to do it's job then started the procedure. I kept anticipating feeling the micro blades injecting the glycolic acid into my eyebrows, but her touch is such that it felt as though she was only brushing my eyebrows with a firm brush. While she did this, she explained each step in between chatting which was a great distraction for me. I have had two sessions for color removal and the color is coming out in stages as she explained. I could not have asked for a better person to go through with my first microblading experience than with Maria. I've been nervous up to the day of the appointment but Maria made it as comfortable for me as it could be. I appreciated how much time she dedicated to just discussing what I wanted and draw out how my brows would look like. In my initial research of microblading, I had thought about going to Koreatown in Los Angeles the next time I went down to visit my parents but I read about how quick most of the places just want to get the clients in and out, without much consultation and without drawing out the brows. So when I read that Maria's allocated time with you would be three hours, I was impressed. This guarantees that she wouldn't rush and what she would be doing with you and that is important when it comes to this type of procedure. She tells me that she uses the best products for this procedure and I believe her since I've seen pictures of the other thing that she does at her salon: nails. She uses the best gel, so her clients nails last a long time from what you can see in her your pictures. I was pretty shocked when I first saw my completed brows. They were dark but she explained to me that once the healing process is over, they will look much lighter, and that I would be going through a range of emotions. She was right. I love my brows. Maria is a perfectionist and it shows in her work. I have always struggled with my brows because they are naturally sparse. I have wanted to do my brows do a long time now but always feared that they would not look natural or too harsh changing the way I had to apply my makeup.
