Menu 4/25

My book club met here this past week & we had a nice dinner! Our waitress was so sweet and checked in on us often. Bru Burgers menu is true to its name- lots of burgers! I asked our waitress what she'd recommend between the veggie burger and the grilled portobello sandwich on sourdough and she said definitely the portobello so I went with that! It was okay- definitely a large sandwich, could be split by 2 people. The one thing that got me was that burgers and sandwiches don't come with a side- they have to be ordered separately. I can see an up charge for a special side, but in my opinion a sandwich should come with fries at least!

Double bacon Smash

On my first full day in Lexington I was starving after training and Bru was right next to the hotel and smelled amazing plus I got a recommendation from the hotel clerk. Incredibly friendly staff, greeted by multiple people, checked on by multiple people, burger was great cooked perfectly with just a little pink, but I found it a little odd that smash burger had all the veggies... it's usually just like onions and sauce or is that just me? BUT that bacon was next level!! Fries were good but not the crispiest. Speedy service and they had quite a few patrons that they remembered by name. Restaurant was really clean and well maintained. Definitely eat here! It's Good!!

Not a bad burger, just expected more for the price and for a restaurant that specializes in burgers . We were not impressed and probably would not return. Server did not have a good understanding of gluten free options and the gf bun was cold and dry. Again- burger was good just didn't meet expectations for a $16 burger.

Love bru from the first time I came. I normally get the bourbon burger it's fire . Also the yax is on the left in the pic. Low key spot that can rage,, but normal and grown folks here. Service is top notch, and the atmosphere is excellent. Not loud at all. Perfect for a date and good food. Do the Bru!

I've been several times, but never gave a review. I will say this has been a go-to local spot for a good burger. I love the amount of pattie meat & the hamburger bun. But most of all, I LOVE the variety if toppings. My faves are the Stilton Bleu Cheese and the Black & Bleu Bison. I've also enjoyed their Triple Dip and Bru Board. For a great cocktail, I prefer the Bramble On. Service has been consistently good. Atmosphere is welcoming & chill. Nothing fancy, but definitely a step-up from basic chain restaurants.

Garlic Three Cheese Burger with a black bean patty and fries.

I've been coming here for years and it's still one of my favorite restaurants in Lexington. I adore the black bean patty. And, as a vegetarian, I love that I can sub that patty for any burger on the menu. The variety is something I'm not used to, but I definitely appreciate! The staff is great every time I go. The restaurant feels like a great place to hang out with friends, but it's also somewhere I don't mind going when I'm by myself. I love when I get the opportunity to come back...it's worth the trip!

Best Burgers in Lexington Kentucky!!! This place has a brew pub feel but is also super open and friendly to group or families. We came here with family that lives here so you know it's a favorite! For the burger lover this is the place! I suggest browsing the menu to get an idea of how many options you have , but the menu can't tell you how good they are. Oh and the fries... killer! One beef only. The house ketchup is terrible more of a watery barbecue sauce, just ask for regular ketchup! The onion rings are beautiful and there is ranch if you ask for it! Our onion rings were undercooked but they have all the components of a good ring. The service was kind and attentive, like most places in Kentucky. I hope this place continues to be a loved dinner spot for years to come.

Sat on the patio on a beautiful summer evening. Our server was in training, so we had a tag-team that took good care of us. We ordered our drinks and looked over the menu. A nice array of options, with lamb, Turkey, bison, salmon, hamburgers, and more. Creative toppings for many of the sandwiches. I got the Lamb Burger and my wife opted for the Turkey Burger. She did get the curry Mayo on the side. She was OK with it, but I really enjoyed it! Both our sandwiches came with the oat bun, which is a slightly healthier option and quite tasty. Drinks were good and came out quickly. Mixed drinks are priced on the higher side of normal, and beer is reasonable. Fries were hot and crispy and the fruit cup was a good variety. Very good-would definitely recommend!

A nice spot for a fun burger ! BRU has a lot of great burger options and they have a great selection of other non-beef burger options including Impossible patties, bison, and turkey (the bison and turkey are sourced locally!). The service was friendly and efficient - our server was helpful in sharing her personal favorite as well as customer favorites which helped me narrow down what I wanted! I ended up getting the BRU burger and my fiancé got the Double Bacon. Both were tasty and flavorful. The fries were okay but seemed a bit over fried and like half of them were made fresh and mixed with an older batch. The house-made ketchup is a nice touch but a bit on the loose side (but flavorful). Overall a nice burger joint that's fun for watching sports while having a nice burger!

Sat at the bar. It was slow. Slow service and mediocre food. You can make the same at home for less.

Dog friendly patio?

Yes and they offer water for the dogs immediately- cool staff! I'm from LA and being able to take my dogs to places is a must- the reason why I came to this place.

I must admit when I saw the size of her donuts I laughed because they were so big. Long story short what she got was a cronut not the traditional cake donut. Previously I've had the raspberry filled donut there and it was really good. The caramel turtle is also a cronut. She asked what kind of dough it was my guess was brioche because of the texture. I could be wrong. I liked my donut although it was a little messy to eat . My friend on the other hand didn't care for the cronut. The coffee though is always on point and it didn't disappoint. As for customer service they really are on point. I've been there a total of three times so far and every time they've been friendly and patient. Plenty of seating indoors and on the patio. I think after 1 pm they do donuts made to order (I didn't see the sign when we first walked in until after we placed our order). I just thought they sold out but the woman at the counter told me they do made to order.

Instead of making customers feel appreciated, they made me feel like I needed to rush through my order and get out of the way. Dining out should be an enjoyable experience, not one where you feel like you're inconveniencing the employees. I ordered the chicken piccata after asking the employee for a recommendation. It's a classic Italian dish that's typically served with a light lemon-butter sauce, tender chicken, and thin pasta. What I received was nothing like that. The pasta was made with oversized noodles that completely overwhelmed the dish. Even worse, there were so many thick strips of onion that they looked like more pasta. After digging through the mountain of onions just to find the chicken, I finally took a few bites, and the flavor was incredibly disappointing. The sauce lacked the bright, fresh taste you'd expect from a chicken piccata, and the entire meal was heavy, unbalanced, and simply unpleasant. I couldn't even finish it. After only a few bites, I threw the meal away and walked out. It's extremely rare for me to abandon a meal, but this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. Do yourself a favor and pass on this restaurant. Between the unfriendly service, the rushed atmosphere, and the disappointing food, there's simply no reason to spend your money here when there are so many excellent Italian restaurants to choose from. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend it to anyone.

What a treat! A co-worker dating someone in Lexington suggested this place…read more We were in the area and decided to give this place a try. It's not exactly in Lexington... it's more on the outskirts(in my opinion) but it hits extremely hard. They have many things on their menu but I wanted something simple. Breakfast sandwich. My wife ordered the grain bowl and it was so much bigger than we thought it'd be. Plenty for leftovers. If I had any complaints, it'd be that it is a smaller place.
