The past few years, it had gotten so bad that I was self-conscious in social situations even eating because I didn't want my teeth to show. I'd been so nervous to go to a dentist because I hadn't been in years due to a lack of insurance and the cost, so I was so scared of what they'd need to do and of being made to feel bad for my teeth. None of that happened. Dr. Kan and her staff were so sweet and understanding. Dr. Kan was so careful and managed to save all my teeth. Something I didn't think was possible! She went so far out of her way to make me feel beautiful again and to give me a smile I could be proud to show. I never thought I'd be able to smile again unless I got dentures, but Dr. Kan completely made over my teeth with composite, and she gave me a beautiful smile without charging me a fortune. When she showed me my smile for the first time, I cried and hugged her and the hygienist! Lol I'll never go anywhere else. They have a patient for life in me. I can't thank them enough for giving me my smile back! Thank you, Dr. Kan!! I also edited to add that I've never had to wait more than 2 minutes in the waiting room. They get you in right away, and Dr. Kan has always been in the room and working on my teeth within 10 minutes of me walking in the door. That's really important to me because I have bad anxiety, and waiting in waiting rooms exacerbates it severely, so I'm very appreciative of how quickly they get you in and get to work! Upon arrival and some introductions to staff membership the dentist introduced herself. After a discussion of my request for a simple cleaning she proceeded with a short dissertation of how and why she would not allow for a cleaning without one or more x-rays that day. As the discussion continued I found her attitude to become arrogant, pompous and condescending. I offered information of my current x-rays. She would not accept them as current or significant. They would not accept documents I offered as proof of current x-rays. Very unprofessional dentist. She refused to have her staff perform a cleaning. This has never been the case with dentists I have used, for over 40 years, in the greater Sacramento area. I was a patient of Dr. Clarks for decades; the last time I saw Dr. Clark was in 2010; 16 years ago. I moved from Red Bluff and stopped going to Dr. Clark. Last year (2025) I received a phone call from his office asking for my address; nothing else, just me address, I thought I was going to get something in the mail about Dr. Clark's retirement. NO, I got a bill in the mail for $54.00 + interest and stating was over120 days past due. I have not been to Dr. Clark's office since 2010; over 16 years, I was never contacted (clearly they had my phone #) and NOW after 16 years they want me to pay $54.00 + interest? Absolutely NOT! 1) The Dental office never sent me a bill (I had a forwarding address on file with USPS). 2) The Dental office never called me (I had the same phone number AND they called me in 2025). But never attempted to call me in the 16 years beforehand. 3) The Dental office had 4 years to collect (from 2010 to 2014) they contacted me in 2025 - EXCEEDING the statute of limitations for collections in California.
