That should've been my first red flag. Second, day of appointment go into the office. The office is jammed packed with people. Waited over an hour to be seen by the doctor. Then once I was seen, he saw me for less than two minutes. I was supposed to get options when leaving I did not receive those option options. They also really pressed to put down $390. It's nonrefundable. I don't have a problem doing that, but I am not going to do that when I don't know the actual cost. Complete craziness. Go somewhere else where you feel like you will be heard and take the time to address all the needs and concerns. Transparency is key and not feel rushed like a number.

They fully understood and expected that I would be nervous and were willing to explain everything in detail. I had a consultation where I had a CT and x-ray and saw Dr. Bonnet to review what needed to be done. I then had the surgery, under general anesthesia- something I was nervous about. It all went very well, no bad side effects. I then had a quick follow-up. I felt very comfortable there. Even all of the insurance/ coverage was explained to me (with the potential of removing teeth that were not impacted and thus not covered). I would absolutely go back here for any further oral surgery, hopefully I don't have to though :)

Once they con you into getting the procedure done they will hit you with a bill almost twice the quoted price you already paid. They blame the insurance but these scam artist knew exactly what the were doing. Do not even step foot in the door." *edit* After having a conversation with the VERY helpful employee that commented on this review, she was able to figure out the error that led to us being charged the extra amount. We went from owing 450 to getting a refund of 48$. Im very happy with the follow up that I got, my problem has been solved and I now know it was a billing error. I no longer think Aspen Dental is trying to rip you off, it just seemed like it when the original employee I talked to brushed me off and blamed insurance. Im going from 1 to 3 stars, the lady who helped me deserves 5, but the lady I talked to originally wouldn't even bother looking at the situation and dismissed me as if I just didn't want to pay my bill.

That is something I truly respect and appreciate. I even forgot something in the room and she ran out to my car to give it to me. The doctor I had was Michael Tamm and he did a good job explaining why my mouth was the way it was, how to fix what I wanted, and also alternative methods to what my Google searches had concluded before coming. I felt like I was at the spa getting my teeth cleaned and am grateful for the opportunity. Nicole even was able to answer some questions about teeth whitening options and teeth correcting trays which I plan on doing as a treat to myself for my 30th birthday. I have a busy schedule, like most people, and the front desk was great about figuring out when works best for me so I could quickly do what I want! I am military so I have a form that has to be printed out, signed and returned to my unit promptly; they not only printed it out for me but ensured that it was filled out correctly by the time I left. It's a few days later and my teeth still feel amazing! The only thing I would change is maybe having sunglasses for the patients to wear while getting the oral care attended to, it would be nice with the bright lights and also not make it so awkward for the patient. I noticed the other reviews mentioned the staff being busy/rushed. As someone who works in healthcare, THEY ARE BUSY! People have constantly had oral/dental emergencies. It took me about 2.5 months to get this appointment, so of course they are busy/rushed seemingly. Healthcare workers have laborious jobs that involve human interactions for 99% of the day and it is often frustrating dealing with certain things. This establishment did great, they take Tricare insurance so I am going to be loyal to them!

Due to me already being in pain for the last two weeks from the last procedure of getting a tooth filling over an abscessed tooth by Dr. Mckinley. During this time I was not only humiliated, but disrespected as I went to block you with my arm when you maneuvered to inject me with a needle without my knowledge of knowing why you were doing that so fast before the numbing agent was affective, in which you responded by aggressively yelling out for me to "PUT YOUR HAND DOWN" which was loudly shouted out at me in a time where I was vulnerable and already experiencing a great deal of anxiety surrounding the procedure. Even if you were frustrated you could've taken that moment to think that maybe I was nervous or scared. You could have said "ma'am please put your hand down" and then explained what you were doing. Dr. Mckinley is always rushing and treating me as a time slot and not a patient!

The cleaning went fine and in the course of having the X-ray it was determined that I needed to have a crown. I checked out and was given the cost estimate for the crown. we set that up for 2-1/2 weeks later, I paid the estimate and came back for the procedure. Some time after the procedure was complete they told us they did not take our insurance. This certainly would have been something to tell us before an expensive procedure. They told me it was my responsibility to check that. Technically that is true and if I had been searching out a new dentist for myself that is what I would have done. There was a bit of trust on our part that our old dentist had considered this when selling his practice, we assumed the new dentist took our insurance. It also seems to me that people whose job it is to bill patients and work in this capacity 40 hours a week should have recognized and alerted us to this fact that they didn't take our insurance. The service was fine for the hygienist and dentist but horrendous service in the front office.
