Awful office manager. This office bills incorrectly and they over charge. The appropriate phrase is fraudulent billing. I have never been so disrespected by someone who truly feels that their title as office manager with blue hair and incredibly shitty attitude is above all else. You are a glorified assistant. I'm disgusted and truly wonder if this dentist and office has taken advantage of numerous patients. Disgusting. Be professional and at least LOOK professional. read more

MAH Horrible experience. I would like to preface this by stating that I have previously had a very positive opinion of Dr. Cohrs personally. I firmly believe his bedside manner, attention to detail, and dental work are truly impeccable, and I appreciated his clinical care during my previous visits over the years. During my most recent visit though, things had changed. I was told by the hygienist, Lyndi, that a panoramic X-ray was "required by law" to maintain their license, with implied risk if refused. No such Michigan law exists--regulations cover equipment safety only, not mandating patient imaging (per LARA-Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Michigan Dental Association). My low-risk profile (excellent hygiene, no cavities in years, healthy gums, recent normal bitewings) showed no clinical need. ADA 2026 guidelines require panoramic only when necessary, to minimize radiation, not routinely. When I raised the issue feeling misled about Timberview losing their license, the hygienist called in the office manager who was beyond rude, defensive, interrupted repeatedly by obscuring and pivoting to "our standard of care," then asked my opinion of their standard. I said it felt revenue-driven rather than evidence-based. She immediately told me to leave. This was gaslighting: obscuring the obvious falsehood with vague "patient care standards" and punishing honest feedback with abrupt dismissal. Deceptive communication and unprofessional handling erode trust. Patients deserve transparency, not pressure and deflection. Unfortunately the unprofessional conduct of the office manager--particularly her repeated interruptions, twisting of the initial misleading statement, dismissive attitude, and abrupt decision to ask me to leave after I shared my honest opinion--has eroded my trust in the practice as a whole. Despite my high regard for Dr. Cohrs' skills and care, this experience will unfortunately prevent me from returning. Perhaps the business/name change to Timberview Dental has caused the business to now become profit driven over patient care driven. Be VERY careful about agreeing to unnecessary procedures that are lining their pockets. read more

I was a little hesitant to schedule a Dentist appointment during COVID-19 because I have heard a lot of people complaining their dentist isn't performing the full cleanings and the appointment was rushed. HOWEVER, Dr. Cohrs office is still doing the full service and taking their time and giving us excellent un-rushed service. Dr. Cohrs and his staff are the best. Dr. Cohrs is the best dentist in town. My husband and I have been seeing him over the past few years and we wish we found him sooner! No issue is too small and he truly cares. Dr Cohrs is excellent. His staff and hygienists are excellent. My comfort and experience are important to them. They use warm water on my sensitive teeth. They give me tinted glasses so the bright dentist light isn't so annoying and the splashes don't get into my eyes. They use new technologies to improve the patient's experience. I've had a minimal number of cavities filled - nobody likes to have a filling but Dr Cohrs was as gentle as anyone could be and he let me know what was happening during the whole process. I was extremely anxious coming to the dentist for the 1st time in maybe 4 years.. but everyone was very warm and inviting. Emily was my hygienist and very sweet, checking in often. Both her and Dr Cohrs were very kind and reassuring with no guilt or judgements about not having been seen in so long. Very glad I chose this office, and very highly recommend! read more

We have been patients of Dr. Cohrs for 10+ years. Office staff are very friendly, hygienists are professional and Dr. Cohrs is exceptional, especially with kids. My husband recently had a dental emergency. Called Dr. Cohrs on a Saturday morning with severe tooth pain. Dr. Cohrs called in a prescription within minutes and then squeezed him in on Monday morning before he left for a two week trip to visit family in FL. My husband was able to spend his parents' 65th wedding anniversary with them pain-free. Cannot recommend Dr. Cohrs enough! We are patients for life! read more

Let me start by saying I'm terrified of the dentist - so much so that I hadn't been in years. But when I broke a tooth on a particularly nasty half-popped kernel of popcorn, I had to do something. We found Dr. Cohrs on Google, and saw a sea of positive reviews, but still, I was skeptical. Arriving at the office, the warmth and inviting nature of the waiting room couldn't be topped - holiday decorations everywhere. Getting in was quick, and the paperwork was a breeze. It was a state-of-the-art facility, but it felt homey and relaxing. More importantly, the doctor and staff paid attention to the fact that I answered Yes to if dentists made me nervous. Dr. Cohrs spoke with me calmly, and supportively - I never felt as if my fear of the dentist was my fault, only that he was there to help. He explained the procedure to me calmly and carefully, and let me know what he would suggest on future procedures. In no time, he'd rounded off the jagged edge of my broken tooth, and out the door I went. For the first time in decades, I can safely say that I look forward to going to the dentist. Horrible service, be careful. My husband was persuaded by him to replace bridge, then one tooth get broken! I was asked to do filling for a cavity 2 years ago(didn't feel anything at that time), it got loose last year. Re-filling was done in July, my gum is swollen since then. Just see endodontics, I need take root canal for that tooth. read more

Dr. Cohrs and his team are wonderful. They are professional and caring individuals. They greet us personally as we enter the office, and communicate well with us between scheduled appointments. The text reminders are helpful. Only drawback is timely rescheduling of routine appointments should we need to cancel, though the staff have scheduled us for "off" days, when the office is not normally open, a couple times, which is greatly appreciated. read more

I've moved from Wisconsin to Michigan recently, I hadn't visited a dentist in 6 years (mainly because I dislike dentists). Needless to say I have been ecstatic about this dentist! Will recommend to everyone! I was able to see Dr. Cohrs only 3 hours after I made my phone call about a chipped tooth. The place was easy to find, beautiful building and the staff was very nice.
