A hail storm hit our neighborhood in the summer of 2024. Our house was significantly damaged. The…read moreday after the storm I spoke with Donnie at Long Construction. He was working another job in the neighborhood and stopped to answer my questions. I told him that I was a novice when it came to dealing with home repairs and insurance claims. Donnie immediately put my mind at ease. He said that they have specialists that deal with the insurance company so that I don't have to. He also told me that Long Construction would also inspect our home from top to bottom to make sure that everything that was damaged was repaired in full and nothing was missed. I then met with John. John is their insurance specialist and truly a guardian angel. John's job is to make sure that if a repair is covered under your policy, that the insurance company pay it out. To give you an example, initially the insurance company was only willing to replace half our roof, wanted to "patch work" our siding, and was only willing to pay $50 toward a new garage door. John worked night and day to fight for us. When he got done, our roof was fully replaced, the garage door was fully covered, and all siding was replaced. Again, this was because of John's hard work. If I would tried to work with the insurance company myself, I likely would have never gotten the same results and would have had a much higher out of pocket cost. The work on the home went well. The roof was fully replaced in one day. The siding took a few weeks. Now, I will point out that no job (construction related) ever goes perfectly smooth. At one point, one of the workers while replacing the siding, damaged some of the shingles on our brand new roof. Mike Long (the owner and always made himself available to talk with us at any time) took full responsibility and had the roof repaired ASAP. I will also point out that we worked with many other's at the company that I am forgetting to thank, but everyone there is fantastic to work with. We are extremely satisfied with the work done on our home and service Long Construction provided and we will be using them again. If you need work done on your home, you simply must choose Long Construction.

Look no further if you need gutter repair. And I'll go out on a limb and guess that their gutter cleaning is just as high quality -- I'll be switching our gutter cleaning to them in the Spring & Fall, based on how well they helped us with our repairs. So here's the sitch -- we'd just had our gutters cleaned and the service provider mentioned our gutters in the back were sagging which meant water wasn't draining, so they needed repair. Based on great reviews online for Catalino, I called for an estimate -- which was provided in about 2 days (quick considering it's Winter, many people needed their gutters cleaned after an early Fall snow which meant that every gutter company was backed-up with cleaning and calls for repairs, like mine). The price seemed reasonable, so we proceeded. Not only were they able to fill our repair needs FAR sooner than anticipated, the communication was TRULY exceptionally good, and then they were able to fix some very unanticipated repairs when they uncovered that our fascia boards (what the gutters hook onto) were completely rotten. In summary, they kept exactly to the revised quote that included more repairs than anticipated, the pricing was VERY reasonable, their timeline was to the "T" with what they quoted, they did an extraordinary job of cleaning up behind themselves, and were friendly and offered superior communication throughout. We're switching everything for gutter maintenance to them, and any future repairs will come their way without hesitation. A+++++++++ service.

The new acting owner, Scott, charged me $540 for a spring clean up…read more The clean-up included leaves from this past fall, and I expected to pay more than what I had been charged by the previous owner last spring, but not 3 and a half times as much. (I provided the owner with a copy of last year's invoice for $160.00, which he already had a record of.) My lot is 4,791 square feet. In a follow-up conversation, the owner, Scott claimed the charge was justified by labor used and time spent. I was home when the job was completed, when one of the crew assured me of how quickly the job would be completed. It took no more labor and time than the work completed last spring. I had previously inquired about a price. Scott didn't respond. I knew he was busy and wanted the work done. He knew it and took advantage of me. Below is a copy of my paid invoice and of the leaves blown to the front of my yard before removal. It's a big pile, but does not justify a $540.
