I live in Corvallis, less than a mile from their office yet they sent me to Albany for a 4:45pm appointment, rush hour. I'm supposed to be there 15 minutes early so I think I'm leaving Corvallis in plenty of time. I get within a mile of their office and a train takes 15 minutes to switch cars 3 times. I get there in time for my appointment but not 15 minutes early. They refuse to see me because they don't have time to collect my insurance information. Next appointment, April. I've requested another referral and will never go back to Brune. I would give them zero stars if I could. Worst health care experience ever. read more

I was looking forward to an office visit with Adrianna Brune ("Adrianna") of Brune Dermatology in Corvallis, OR, driving from another city to do so. The wait time was long (almost 45 minutes), even though there were no other patients in the waiting room (there were hardly any other patients in the building). Adrianna was not friendly, very condescending and seemed distracted. Her PA-C was not friendly either, she barely said "Hello". The exam was quick - under 8 minutes. Adrianna even missed a crucial skin growth that was caught by another doctor soon after this appointment, which is pathetic. To top it all off, Adrianna was more interested in her vacation property and rental money than her patients. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. She was unprofessional and seemed to care less about patient care. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else. read more

Wow, I see all the ones and threes for this place so obviously it is the worst. Unfortunately my doctor had recommended it. They are so screwed up. They have messed up every phone message that I have left. I've gone in twice and wasted time and money and they were completely ineffective I will be disputing my charges on this bill for $50. I hope they're happy then they called me out of the blue acting like I needed another appointment. They really need to get their act together. My support animal. 51 lb Siberian husky and I were kicked out before our visit because the owner said my dog intimidated him. then he continued to try and talk or ask if I wanted to start something. I loaded my pet in the kennel as he was still trying to yell at me. As he was outside my driver window I then backed out and left. Brune dermatology front desk staff are rude and the office manager is unprofessional! I received a text message confirming my appt at 10 am and arrived at 10:05 due to construction on my way and the girl rescheduled so I could get in the same day but then wanted to charge me $100 for the morning appointment. I was there and office staff said I had leeway for appointment! I refused to pay since my appt was changed to 4:15 and I was there at 4! You can't reschedule my appointment the same day and still charge me for the first appointment that you rescheduled! Price gouging at its finest at Brune dermatology! Go somewhere else folks! Then dismiss me as a patient Horrible customer care and service especially when I have waited on your staff up to 30 minutes in a room! read more

Dr Brune Diagnosed my two autoimmune conditions when other doctors failed to do so. I had gone to multiple providers including OHSU and Providence rheumatology and they missed the diagnosis. My diagnosis was confirmed with pathology, lab results, as well as family history and physical exam. I will always be grateful to Dr. Brune and her staff for believing my complaints instead of blowing them off. read more

Everyone was very warm and very friendly. I came, paid my co-pay, was sort of seen, and quickly dispatched. It is apparently a weird skin growth that I should just accept. No treatment or recommendations were given just a diagnosis of yes you have what you think you have, no worries. So I guess I will get seen elsewhere after I relocate in a month and the weird skin growth will continue to grow until I find an MD to excise it. Oh well, it's very typical Corvallis medical care. The receptionists were lovely, but the doctor gave poor care. Nicole Wydra came in half hour late, was cold and short in communication, invalidating of my diagnosis by a different specialist doctor, was belittling, and it was disheartening being talked down to like that. It was my first and last visit. Her theory on my recurring rash that moves around my back for almost a year is likely "from sex scratches" which felt really shocking and stated without inquiring enough about the rash, and dismissive of me knowing my body and my needs. It felt quite possibly the coldest any professional has spoken to me, and whatever preconceived ideas she had about me maybe from charts or if she was having a bad day--I don't know--definitely were felt through her microaggressions, glaring and pedantic language. She grew increasingly frustrated and impatient with me and didn't help me with my main concern nor would address other concern. I left early because she created an unsafe environment to seek proper care. I highly do not recommend seeing this doctor, but I have heard good things about another dermatologist there. read more

It was actually horrible. They are VERRRYYY money hungry which is obvious because they have so many patients with only a few doctors and employees. They are not able to give their 100% effort to each patient. With my time there they were very nonchalant with scheduling their appointments and checking up on patients. But when they start sending my prescription to different cities which forces me to not be able to get it and have to get blood work and test done to get it sent back, is where I draw the line. Their front desk people are frankly about the only ones I like because they are kind and supportive that's about it. But other then that this place is not good!!!! read more

Very frustrated wirh the juvaderm lip filler I had done . It's been only a month and already one side of my lips are nearly back to how they were when I went in and I totally feel like one side of my mouth has way more filler than the other . I spent 1600.00 and it has never looked even and how I had hoped and in order to have it touched up I was told I'd have to buy another vial which means another 600-800 dollars. The costs on all of the cosmetic part is not transparent enough and I kinda wish I could see what I'm getting for my money and what exactly was utilized and what wasn't . Just really bummed as my husband seemed to really like her for his dermatology needs , but I guess my expectations were higher . I also had a consultation with her at which I thought she would be able to remove skin tags . I have quite a few I wanted addressed and when I got to the consultation she informed me that she doesn't remove skin tags and that I'd have to have those removed via a separate procedure with the aesthetician, which would be another large fee, so my 169.00 consult fee was worthless . Just feels like there's a serious lack of communication customers and clarity as to what they do and how the process works . Be sure to let them know what you want accomplished and be very specific ! Ask lots of questions and get everything in writing up front ! read more

Dissapointing, the front desk staff are friendly and sweet but do not seem trained very well. Every time I call its a 15-20 minute thing, constantly being put on hold and never told how long I will be on hold. I should not have to waste a third of an hour to book an appointment. I feel like they need more training, or need better pay so the office can attract better employees. The only reason why I still go is because I actually enjoy the main Doctor and PA Kelly. read more

It's a cared for and a clean space (with a children's section that seems a bit germy and ugly) - seems like they address just about any sort of cosmetic and medical skin care issue a person could have. I went in for their laser hair removal services - which has always been a weird below board industry. This place, like many laser hair places, has little transparency and seems a bit to sharkey for my total comfort level. Up selling takes place. The service I wanted done was about 110% greater in cost than I expected to pay, so I passed. It's rude to ask clients to make an appointment to find that out (which I did). With that having been said possibly it was only 110% greater ($400 for a laser treatment) in price for me? Everything is done under a pseudo medical service cloak -- so as noted no transparency (no prices are written down, so you can't tell if it's being made up). Not having prices listed on some level forces the help to have to explain everything (price wise) and leaves me with the feeling that different prices apply to different people. So for instance, this is an example, if they didn't like the color of someone's skin they would have the option of charging them a different price (because nothing is written down). They may argue that every person is different so the level of service and cost varies - this is sort of a fake argument, they could easily give people an estimate. They want to up sell people (which is OK but they are doing it to much). They get one star from me, where there is smoke there is fire. read more

I have a skin disorder that's generally congenital and confined to small groups of people, one group being my heritage and i must have been carrying the gene, but it didn't express itself until I had an anaphylactic reaction to bee stings about 10 years ago. It's a difficult and frustrating disease for both the patient and the doctor, because there is no cure it's just managing the symptoms. It is a rare, orphan disease,I had to go to the MAYO clinic inArizona for a correct diagnosis, and I've seen several dermatologists at various teaching Hospitals for care and suggestions. I remain under the care of a Professor of Dermatology, a Doctor up at OHSU, whom I see about twice a year, and she recommended Dr. Brune because Dr. Brune has the type of laser equipment that was felt to be useful for me. I haven't been in to see Dr. Brune for some time, now because of extended traveling, and my symptoms have gotten worse. My only complaint is this; when I called in today,the receptionist told me I couldn't be seen till October, but I know if I called back and if I asked to speak to the nurse and I told her just exactly what's going on they can get me in sooner, but at this point in time, I'm comfortable just waiting,... as long as it doesn't get any worse! I know she would work me in, and she has worked me in when I was having a severe exacerbation and my skin was opening up, or the swelling was severe, or I was in pain or discomfort from itching. The medications I use are off label because, as I've said, this is an orphan disease w/o any exact treatment or medication plan, and Dr. Brune has gone out of her way to explain to my insurer why I need a particular drug or tx. I'm very happy with Dr.Brune! She does have an Argentinian accent, which I find charming, and I don't have any trouble understanding her. I don't wait an incredibly long period of time to see her at my appointment time, and I think she's doing just about all she can to help me. The medications I need, even when approved, are expensive, and she gives me samples to help offset my out of pocket costs. She listens to me, and takes my assessment of the meds or treatments into consideration, and I feel she is truly committed to helping me as much as is possible. I have given only three stars because the receptionists, as others have pointed out, don't seem very well trained; for example, with today's call, I was not asked what was going on, if I needed to speak to the nurse, or if I felt I could wait until October to deal with the problem. I would expect those kinds of questions from someone with medical training. Luckily, as a retired RN, I feel able to speak up and give them information I feel is important, and have no trouble asking for what I feel I need. I left a message to schedule an appointment and their answering machine says return phone calls within 24 hours. Never received a call back. I called again and after being on hold for 3 minutes I scheduled an appointment. Went in for botox and the nurse was great. Spent $500 on my face since it had been a while. I was told that my BD points would be recorded that afternoon or the following day. It's been over a month and still nothing! I called and was placed on hold for FIVE MINUTES!!!! Finally the receptionist picked up and told me that because its been over a week they can not record my points!!!!! Seriously?! How is it my fault that their office forgot to record my points?! Worst dermatologist I've seen in my life, based on these reasons below: (1)Dr. Brune prescribed me the SAME medication I'm already on. The reason I went to see her is because my current medication doesn't work for me. (2)When there's something wrong with the prescription (Dr. Brune's office insisted that they sent the prescription to the pharmacy, however, the pharmacy said they didn't get it), it should be solved by the communication of doc's office and pharmacy. Not depends on the patient running back and forth, especially when the patient, which is me, is 9 months pregnant. (3)Dr. Brune's English is very hard to understand. She is not a native English speaker, and I barely understand what she was talking about. It would be better if there's someone there can communicate with patients with better English. Especially when it comes to medical field. Overall, I think the $300 I paid for the doctor visit is such a waste. Save your money and find someone better, I'm serious. read more

save your time and money before even thinking of going to them for help. i have severe eczema, and to be prescribed a relatively new medication, i first had to go thru a couple months of UV therapy. they seem all nice and well, they leave packets of vaseline out on the counter along with the eye goggles. "it's there if you need it," they told me. well, most of my appointments for the therapy i didn't need it because my skin was so bad that i already had my own ointment on my skin, the same consistency as vaseline. what they DIDN'T tell me was that not using the vaseline provided changes the billing. BY A LOT. my insurance covered the appointments, and the ones where i used vaseline were only $4 a visit because the UV therapy is literally 1-2 minutes long and then you're done and ready to go. not using the vaseline, that NO ONE said i absolutely had to use it and said NOTHING about billing. thanks to insurance, it's not a huge price, but not using the vaseline makes them charge you 3x what the other appointments did. so now instead of a bunch of $4 appointments, i owe $14 for every appointment i went to. FOR THE SAME EXACT TREATMENT. i told billing department that none of their staff notified me of the "programming difference" when submitting it to insurance. they gave no apology, said "well our staff is well trained, it's policy,". nobody said squat and because of that i'm out at least $150 for all of my appointments there totaling less than an hour. these people are frauds, scammers, and don't deserve your business. in fact, they deserve to be shut down for abusing low-income patients like this. read more

I went to see Dr. Brune a month ago about all the growths and skin issues I had. She looked at everything and told me that most were skin tags and that she could freeze them off. I just wanted a consultation (couldn't afford anything else), so I declined the freezing procedure. The other spots were just from old age - except for one on my hand, which she said was a bruise over an age spot. I didn't think it was, but she's the doctor here, so I didn't question it. A month later, I still have this "bruise", which is not a bruise at all - it is more like a blister/scab. So, I called back to see if she could take a look at it again, but that I could not afford another office visit. They told me that I would have to pay again - even though she misdiagnosed the spot. Now, in a few days, I will not have insurance to go see another provider - until May - and I will have to start my deductible all over again. I surely hope this spot is not cancer. read more

BUT the front desk Vanessa needs to be properly trained on how to treat people over the phone and to us at the front desk. She's very rude and cold! She needs an attitude adjustment. !! I arrived for my first visit 1/2 hour early and filled out all the documentation required. Waited 1.5 hours to see the doctor and was unable to because by then it would have taken another hour to finish the appointment. Due to job commitments, I was unable to stay....no one apologized for the delay. I showed up today for my second appointment ONLY to be told they forgot additional forms which were not given to me at my first appointment AND while I waited 1.5 hours during that same first appointment. So the form given to me today, was explained THEN I was told that this was a consultation visit which meant that I might have to come back for 3rd visit. When I made the appointment, when I waited 1.5 hours, when I made the second appointment, when there was an automated call, and when I confirmed the second appointment, NO ONE told me that this was a CONSULTATION visit. NO ONE apologized and the receptionist only stated..."I remember you waiting all that time your first visit". No apology, no customer service, and no customer retention!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! What a poor experience!!! I will not recommend this office to anyone and will let my primary doctor know was well. What a waste of my time because I had to miss work for the visits. One star because 'no stars' is not an option. My son was under treatment at Brune Dermatology and the physician assistant treating him left. They did not bring in a qualified replacement (the replacement is 'in training') so when I called 2.5 weeks ahead to schedule his follow-up appointment, I was told he can't be seen until JANUARY so in essence his treatment stops. His acne is scarring his face and he can't wait until January. SO disappointing that they cannot support the patient base - now I have to start all over. read more
