There are a lot of contractors out there, and that's why I'd like to leave a review. We've worked with two other roofing contractors in the Omaha area that completed the work within a reasonable timeframe. However, their teams left a lot of debris for us to clean up. We had bats get into our attic on both occasions. For our third new roof project, we decided to go with Siefken Contracting. Jared was very helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. The only headache we had to endure was our insurance company fighting tooth and nail to not provide coverage. Jared and his team fought for us and communicated well. We have since moved to a new home and had to replace the roof again - lucky us. We went with Siefken for a second time. We had another great experience with their team. We're currently having Siefken replace the windows in our home. This is our first time using them outside of roofing, and their team has been great to work with once again. I can't sing their praises enough and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Omaha area.

Gary came to our house, answered our questions, and gave a reasonable quote. We were given the time frame of 4-6 weeks for the crew to come out. Which was fine, we weren't in a dire need. I was surprised to get a call about two weeks later that the crew can install the gutters sooner than expected. Which was perfect timing because they held up against the storm that we had in April.

I decided to give them another shot, but this time I called. I actually felt like I was bothering the person who answered the phone. She seemed annoyed with each question she asked (name, address, etc.). She said someone would be in touch and I was contacted the next day. On Monday of this week (7/8/2024), I was told that someone looked at my house and that I had a lot of damage. I thought that was a little odd because I'm home most days and didn't see anyone. I also have cameras in front and behind my house and they were never triggered, but I shrugged it off. The appointment today was for between 11 and noon. The person texted and said he would be here between 11-11:15. At 11:20, I got this text: "Hey, David Cricket husker. Putting together your information head your way going through the pictures. I got your pictures. Confuse with another house. I use their address for you. And after looking at the reports, and I've looked in a couple. Other houses out in your neighborhood. You don't have hail damage. I do apologize." . Here's the rest: Husker: I'm so sorry. Your area didn't get hit Me: My pictures? No one has been here yet. My house is on ----- Drive. The house three houses down from me is getting their roof replaced today due to the hail damage Husker: Let me get back to the office. Double check all this. I'm waiting for a call back from. He does my roofing up inspections. Give me a minute please. Me: I have cameras on the front and back of my house. I can tell you nobody has been here since I contacted you to look at my house. Husker: Okay. Waiting for ---- to text me back. I'll get this figured out. Me: At the risk of sounding like a total jerk, this has frustrated me enough that I'm already looking at another company. You could be here looking at the roof in the amount of time it takes to wait on a text. Husker: That's definitely your prerogative, but I'm 65. I don't get on roofs anymore. I gave this to ----. I just want to confirm if he was there and what he found. Me: I can tell you definitively that he was never here at my house There were a few more texts, but the bottom line is that I told him to not bother...that if there was already this much problem getting someone here to give me an estimate, I didn't even want to think about the issues I would have if I hired them.

I had an old chimney which was not in use and I wanted it taken down. I stopped at Total…read moreConstruction on a Thursday and showed them pictures and they said they could do the job. Peter came the next day and took more pictures and made measurements. He called me early the next Monday with an estimate, which we discussed. He called back later that morning and said he could have someone out that day. Dave showed up and pretty much by himself took the chimney down. Another worker showed up and hauled it all away. Dave patched the roof where the chimney had come up through and shingled it and also put new brick in the wall where the pipe had come out to vent the stove. Another worker came and trimmed and painted under the eave and sealed the inside wall. I was impressed with the speed and quality of the job they did and will recommend them to anyone who needs work on their house done.

Never again!! Broken windows (by the siding workers), ripped out cable from slip shot work (no cable for a week, yea that was just great), poorly wrapped window siding that are falling apart still, and a list of other items that were/are a major fail. Topping that list was the unprofessional workers who felt it necessary to cat call the neighbors daughter repeatedly (a wife and mother), ignorance clearly runs ramped with who these people hire. Think twice before you call them.
