Gio Natalya was recommended by my sister in law and After seeing pictures of Natalies work, I decided to stop in to see what she could do with my hair. The salon is super clean and adheres to all COVID precautions. She was able to give me a consultation on the spot since her first client didn't come in yet. FYI-if your a first time color client then you need a consultation first!! I felt confident after the consultation and booked my color appointment for the following week. Appointment Day-Natalie has magic in her hands!!! All I did was show her a picture of the Ash blonde I wanted and she was able to replicate it exactly. I also got a haircut for my dry dead ends and she listened to exactly how I wanted the length and cut to be. Natalie takes her time with clients and does not rush. She then brushed another woman's hair with the SAME brush immediately afterwards. The haircut was just fine so I returned a second time. This time I waited 30 minutes at a sink before someone came to wash my hair. The sink had gunk and hair in it and the washer did not clean it. When I complained the manager told me she doesn't speak English. I said "ok does she speak cleanliness" because that transcends language. The woman at the front desk tried to physically push me back to the sink when I said I was leaving and I had to tell her not to touch me. The manager then wiped down the sink with a dry towel. I said that needs to be washed with soap. He rolled his eyes and took some shampoo and started cleaning the sink. At that point I decided to leave. This is not to mention that three women were getting highlights and showed me pictures of how they bleached the back of their hair off! All three of them! They then tried to tell them that was normal. I would avoid this place like the plague!

Blowout III - 10/10 Experience…read more Blowout III is hands down one of the best salon experiences I've had. The entire team is incredibly friendly, welcoming, helpful, and professional. A huge thank you to May and the rest of the team, who took my hair from JET black to the most gorgeous burgundy-ish red. From the moment I sat in the chair until the moment I left, I felt completely taken care of. At one point I wasn't 100% sure which shade of red I wanted. Instead of rushing the decision, they suggested mixing two different reds to create the perfect tone--and the result was absolutely stunning. It's rich, vibrant, and exactly what I was hoping for. I'm currently on my second wash, and the color is still vibrant and beautiful. Red does naturally fade with washing, but so far it's holding really well and still looks amazing. Pro tip: They get busy (which says a lot about how good they are), so try to arrive right when they open at 10am, especially if you're getting color done. Safe to say I've officially found my forever salon. Worth every penny and I'll absolutely be referring everyone I know here. Unfortunately, the woman at checkout (who usually wears a ponytail) has now tried three separate times to charge me more than the actual price of the service. When I questioned it during my last visit, she became upset, raised her voice, and even called me "cheap." I always tip and treat everyone with respect, so this was very disappointing. I would advise other customers to confirm the price before getting any service done. Based on my experience, the price has been changed at checkout, which is not fair. As a loyal customer, I expected better treatment. This felt very unprofessional.

I had a really bad experience at another salon on Jamaica Ave last summer and paid $200 more for a shitty job after spending 10 hours at the salon Julie got my color right and my cut right and did it in a timely manner. The only thing I wasn't satisfied with was my blow out, she used the olive oil spray and I hated it. It weighed my hair down BUT I guess I should've told her not to use it. She also didn't burn me. She was told to come in person for a quote, which she did. The lady said okay come tomorrow we will work it out. After the service was completed, the stylist only installed extensions in the back of her head and charged her $250. My daughter is very shy and didn't feel comfortable speaking up at the time, but it was clearly not the full extension service she had requested. I called the salon to explain the situation, and the stylist agreed that my daughter could return the next day to have it corrected. However, after my daughter sat waiting for over three hours before anyone even started working on her hair, the stylist added the missing extensions and then demanded an additional $240. If a customer specifically asks for a full head of extensions and the salon fails to provide the requested service, the correction should not come with another large charge especially after making the customer return and wait for hours. The lack of communication, transparency, and customer service was extremely disappointing. This was one of the most unprofessional salon experiences I've ever encountered
