Small waffle mint cone

Brusters is really solid ice cream that I have loved since I was a kid so I give it a easy 5 stars would recommend

Brad C.

Is seems like trendy ice cream places pop up and disappear regularly as the trends fade, but places like Bruster's are consistent, and so they stick around. Thank goodness! I love that they make the ice cream with fresh ingredients with a creamy texture and lots of flavor -- in flavors I never would even think of. Big chunks of whatever is mixed in add to the experience. I've never had any of the sundaes or other offerings, so I can only speak to the big giant scoops of goodness that come is a huge waffle cone. I think the telling picture is the one I took to accompany this review. As I was opening Yelp and getting ready to check in I turned to my wife and said, "let me get a picture of your ice cream and cone." As you can see, she'd already eaten a large part of the first scoop. Don't let the picture fool you into thinking the portions are small. The "regular" cone is plenty for a normal appetite! They usually have some sort of a deal going if you search the web and they have an app that can get you free ice cream -- get it before you go!!! Summer or winter time, this ice cream is worth stopping in to eat.

Regular Waffle Cone w/ Chocolate Mudslide, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip

Hearty scoops and delicious ice cream. We stopped by this location today after lunch on a hot afternoon and there were quite a few people in line. Turns out it was for good reason. The service was fast and efficient. We got 2 "Regular Waffle Cones", which come with 3 scoops of ice cream of your choice. I usually don't like chocolate ice cream (especially the type you get in the grocery stores) but I was feeling a bit daring and I ended up choosing 3 variety of chocolate ice cream for my cone: Chocolate Mudslide, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip. I'd say the risk paid off. The ice cream itself was smooth, creamy, and delicious. The flavors weren't too sweet or overpowering and even with 3 chocolate-based flavors, you could tell where one ended and the other one started. The chocolate bits inside the ice cream were crisp and the brownie and cookie dough pieces were nice and chewy, unlike the rubber bullets you get in store-bought ice cream or a fast food joint. At $4 + change per cone, I wouldn't visit every day but on a hot day such as today, I'd definitely say it was worth it.

Small strawberry milkshake

I may have the unpopular opinion here but I feel you should be able to get 3 plain cones and a small shake for less than 12 dollars. Their ice cream is really good, there's no denying that. But considering they are not my only option for ice cream on E. Brainerd, it makes it hard for me to want to come back when I am paying nearly double than anywhere else, for just basic ice cream. Besides that it is a good establishment to have nearby. Its right next to Heritage Park, where we frequent and since they have a walk up window we can bring our dog which is always a plus. They have a lot of flavors to choose from too, plus a drive thru we use when it rains. My husband got a strawberry milkshake and it was pretty good. We will probably continue if we are at the park but won't go out of our way to go.

We stopped by for a quick ice cream treat the other day. I was very disappointed in the flavors that they had. The staff wasn't that courteous. I miss the old Bruster's in Hixson it was my most favorite place. It was pretty good ice cream and I'm sure we'll be back because well yes it's Bruster's. I really hope that maybe their staff will be a little kinder and their flavors will be a little better next time.

She does have years of experience, superior education and she helped with little tips. The rest of the clases got better because she was more confident. This class is very good for people who are pretty new at decorating cakes, is a VERY basic and short course that will get you started! In my case helped me tremendously because they introduced so many new tools to me and taught me techniques on how to use them. So yes I would totally reccomend this class! I will be taking course 2 and 3 so I can learn even more! They also sell a lot of baking supplies that are priced very reasonable and they have a lot of different options, for example they have several kinds of food coloring and flavors, candy melts, cookie cutters for every occasion, cake boards, pans and boxes every size you can imagine. The sugar shoppe also has a stand at the farmer's market at the first Tennessee pavilion and we really like their cake slices, my mom and my husband enjoy them very much because the textures and flavors they offer. They are large portions for $5 each slice. They are very delicious! I haven't ordered a cake from them, but since I was able to be in their kitchen for the classes I was able to see their cake schedule and they had a very clean and organized kitchen, they prepare ahead the buttercream which is their own recipe ans it's perfect texture to decorate and pipe any designs. I would definitely order a cake from them, they are very nice, I saw them interact with customers who were placing custome orders, they ask a lot of questions to make sure they deliver the cake you want.

I did not see any handicapped spaces near the entrance of the bakery, but that's not their fault. There are spaces adjacent to the building and more across a traffic lane. The restaurant is located in the rear inside corner of the shopping center. There is a sign above the entrance so it is easy to locate. Walking in, the baked goods case is on the left wall. We were greeted almost immediately by someone coming out of the rear kitchen area. The staff was helpful in describing the items. Our first visit was near their closing time, so there were not many items left. We did find a few we wanted to try. Our next visit was earlier in the day and the selection was significantly greater. I cannot identify everything we saw or even purchased, but I can tell you everything was quite good. The filled items had fillings like cheese, fruit, one was even ham and cheese. The others were more like sweet breads and muffins. It was very hard to limit ourselves when making our selections as everything looked so good. Tasting each item proved our eyes were good judges of flavor. Mary's Bakery is an unassuming bakery in an unassuming location that provides some excellent products. It is certainly worth your time to visit.
