Though I keep it simple with birthday cake and vanilla they are pretty rich in taste. The last time I was there I opted for a birthday shake. I was offered a treat for my pup but this is not your average Puppuccino. There were bits of everything on it; nuts and other toppings. It has the novelty of selling ice cream through a drive thru window as well as the normal walk up window. Although the place does look a bit run down, luckily I didn't judge the book by its cover. This Bruster's in Sugarloaf Pkwy in the same shopping center as Publix. This place is just like a kiosk. You get served through a window, and it also has a drive thru. I ordered the brownie which comes with vanilla ice cream covered with hot fudge, and whipped cream. The brownie was so yummy, and the ice cream was okay. What's so nice from Bruster's is that their ice cream is also dog friendly. Bring your furry friend for a treat. The service is okay. I didn't expect much. Overall this ice cream spots are cool. Went there on a Saturday evening in June. There was a line that took about 10-15 minutes to get to the front. Totally fine with the wait, don't care about the wait at all. Ice shop, on a weekend, in the summer months, it is going to be busy. What bothered me was when I tried to order a milkshake and was told they stop making milkshakes after 9:30pm. It was 9:35pm when I tried to order, and I had been waiting in line since 9:20pm. No consideration for waiting in line, no leeway, just we stop serving a sizable portion of our menu before we close. That's like McDonald's stopping the sale of their nuggets before they close. Dairy Queen not selling blizzards 30 minutes prior to close. It just seems like a bad business practice if it was implemented by management, or employees taking advantage if management is clueless. read more

The service here is a bit slow but they always have my favorite flavor. I love the New York Cheesecake flavor and they have yet to disappoint in providing that. This visit was on Banana Split Day so I expected to wait but we were standing there for a while and there was no initiative to move faster. Not only did we have to wait but my ice cream was very soft/melted texture and my girlfriends Sundae was more whip cream than ice cream. Every time I go to this location once every other year because when I order a large waffle cone with four scoops they give me two waffle cones with two scoops, and not even the right flavors. I hate this location because when I complain they still give you the wrong flavors. I usually associate Bruster's with happy employees, great customer service and great, fresh product but tonight I was sadly disappointed. The young person who served us didn't greet us with a smile or 'welcome to brusters'. They literally just stood there and monotoned 'what can I get you?' We ordered coffee ice cream and were told 'we are out of coffee...' no suggestions or apologies...so we ordered a different flavor, single scoop on a sugar cone and a waffle bowl 'flight' I have NEVER seen such small scoop portions come from a Bruster's like the portions we got. The single sugar cone scoop looked like a kiddie scoop, maybe 3 oz of product. The waffle bowl flight had varying different sizes of scoops, no consistency. After we were given our order, we had to ask for napkins as they weren't given with the ice cream!! Needless to say I was SADLY disappointed with the inconsistency of this Bruster's. I expected more from Bruster's. Will not be returning to this location even though it is ONLY 4 minutes from home. I'd rather travel twice as far for better customer appreciation. Do not go to the Sugarloaf near Five Forks location, you will come away disappointed. Very limited flavors on the board...and then you get told they are out of the flavor you order. I ordered 2 scoops in a cup...I got what appears to be a child size cup with barely an entire scoop put together. The chocolate chip ice cream had 1 chocolate chip in it. The only reason this location stays open is location, not for the service or ice cream. read more

I love Bruster's ice cream and I take my family often. I took my family to the store on Sugarloaf Pkwy and was thoroughly disappointed with the portions I was given. A scoop of ice cream is $3.59. A baby scoop is free, yet my "babies" scoops of ice cream we're bigger than mine for $3.59. Next time I will go to the Bruster's I normally go to on Lawrenceville-Suwanee where the portions are more appropriate for the price. read more

I used to enjoy going here since it was right down the street and they have pretty good I've cream. However, the last several times that I have been here they been out of a large portion of items. For instance this last time they were out of birthday cake ice cream and espresso yourself, the previous time they were out of hot fudge and M&Ms. This has become the new norm for this joint. Just came from this Bruster's with my boyfriend both of us very disappointed by what we had received. Ok, I'll start with how ridiculous their parking lot was. Who designed that mess? To the point...after ordering, we pulled around to the window to wait for our turn to pay. Ice creams here are very good and fresh, also i have never seen places that let you buy treats for your dogs.. if you love your dog as much as you love ice creams, try taking your dog here for some treats and make him feel like a happy person like you are! They are currently not serving any Nathans products, only ice cream and other products Brusters sales. This location is very hit and miss. Sometimes it's perfect and other times it's just crap. Stale waffle bowls, out of cones, out of waffle bowls, "we don't have lids" (yet they miraculously come back with a lid a short while later). This is the worst location in the area. Go to the Bruster's right off 78 and 124. It's worth the longer drive. read more
