I was hoping they would at least level the cakes to allow for more layers, especially considering how high the cakes are. Because then the cakes could maintain some moisture. The details are pretty and they were able to execute the funny cake that we ordered. But only two layers and TONS of buttercream wasn't exactly the most delicious. The cake also seemed to be on the dry side. Unfortunately I've tried the Walmart heart cakes and now I see why many people are going that route.....

You will not find more engaging service anywhere else. They will work with you on any design and make suggestions within your budget. The red velvet is one of the best I have ever tasted. All the fillings are freshly made. The cakes last a long time which is great after an event, and there might be leftovers. (if guests don't snatch up all the cake!) The bakery is beautiful and inviting and lots of free parking. I have booked 3 to 4 weeks in advance and my orders were always ready on time, as they are highly reliable. Highly recommend picking up a tasting pack if you are able to! During the process, we met with Vy early on and discussed our choices of flavours, design, and Vy was able to send us a mock-up design that incorporated elements from the wedding dress which ended up being a great touch, and created a cake that was unique for just us. We have honestly never seen a cake fly off the table so quickly - to the point where we weren't even able to have one of the flavours on the wedding day as the guests ate it all so quickly! So many compliments have been given from friends and family about her cake. Overall, we highly recommend getting a cake from Syndesi for whatever event you may have coming up. The other treats and the quiche are not enclosed. They are beautifully displayed, however, I have wondered why they are not enclosed in a standard bakery case. My concerns (about the openness) are flies and other flying insects landing on the food, possible improper food temperature, and the commercial scents being absorbed into the open treats. For example, I have not purchased quiche because it is out in the open without any refrigeration. We visited in the afternoon and a sliced quiche was out for purchase.
