This Bruster's used to be top-tier. Now? It's like watching a slow meltdown literally. Over the past year, both the ice cream and service have taken a noticeable dive. I've had multiple visits where the "ice cream" was so runny it could've been served with a straw. If your scoop requires a soup ladle instead of an ice cream scooper, something's off. Pro tip: ask if the ice cream is actually set before ordering. Apparently, the concept of a set freezer is more of a suggestion here than a requirement. Bottom line, what used to be a go-to spot has turned into a gamble. I wouldn't recommend this location anymore unless you're specifically in the mood for a milkshake you didn't order. read more

We found this cute little outdoor, walk up spot near a large shopping center. I wasn't expecting too much given the location. Buster's turned out to be a nice ice cream place. It was blazing hot out and the young girls working were super sweet. They worked hard and did a great job assisting everyone quickly. There were 5 of us girls and we all enjoyed what we ordered. The ice cream is amazing, but they can't make a hot fudge sundae good almost ever. I only ever get two small pumps of hot fudge, and that is NOT a hot fudge sundae. $6 for two small pumps of hot fudge and some ice cream is not worth it. read more

This is a cute drive thru/food stand set-up. You order at a window and there are a few benches outside you can eat at or you can go through the drive-through. For food your options are Nathan's hot dogs (plain, chili cheese or mini corndog bites) and fries ( big crinkle cut, cheese fries). Everything was made as we waited so it was warm and fresh. There seems to be a lot of ice cream flavors as well as fat free, yogurt, sherbet, sorbet and non-dairy options (those these are limited flavors). Serving sizes are very generous. For the past few years this place has been the best place in town for a nice cone. But here lately it seems to be losing its touch. Two weeks back I ordered a salted caramel and ended up with more caramel syrup than ice cream. It just didn't seem to be mixed correctly before freezing. Today, 7/3, weeks went and my wife ended up with the same issue with her cookies and cream. She had more vanilla ice cream and little to no Oreo crumble. Additionally, there were several chunks of mint chocolate chip that had been mixed up in it. It just seems like the summer staff isn't up to par. This location pays their TEENAGE employees under minimum wage and expects them to do things they do not get paid to do. These teenagers are treated poorly. Every employee I have talked to say that they are yelled at on the daily and their manager (Jodell) threatens firing everyone if the store is not perfect when she opens in the morning. Other than the management, this is a place I like occasionally. The ice creams is good and the underpaid and mistreated teenagers are very nice and helpful. Used drive through on way home as I have 4 kids with me. We ordered 4 kids icecreams and 2 adult icecreams. The girls were so nice and helpful and very friendly. Clearly high school or college but nice mannered and professional. Icecream was good, it's no Hagan dazs but still satisfied our icecream craving. Kids cups were generous and came with Oreo cookies, gummy worms and the girls put on sprinkles for my kids. Order was correct, staff friendly. I like consistent and reliable places. So many different types of ice cream is truly overwhelming that let you try whatever you like. We ordered there waffle bowls they were really good. Nice staff but beware it gets really hot standing outside so bring a hat,umbrella,etc when waiting. Brusters is indeed open, and thank goodness it is. Brusters is essentially the real ice cream shop in town. Brusters has a good range of ice cream flavors including a few seasonal items. The menu changes frequently so something you like today may not be in stock tomorrow. I personally love that they have a white turtle ice cream. I love nuts and caramel but I want them in vanilla; the white turtle fits the bill. I also like the oreo ice cream, which is filled with cookies, as well as the salted caramel. Waffle cones and waffle bowls are made fresh in house. It's worthwhile and not all that expensive to get a sundae at Brusters. I like to get a waffle bowl sundae with caramel- it is huge! Staff is very friendly and patient, as another reviewer mentioned. They are happy to -provide you samples of all the flavors you desire. There's a seating area outside of you can get sundaes in a to-go container with a lid. There's also a very convenient drive up window. read more
