This place is quick to take your money and slow getting your vehicle back to you. They say they take their time to do the right job but that's not the case at all. After spending countless hours just for knew tires I've been back several times with balance issues that were never issues before. I took my car to another shop that services my oil on a regular basis and had them re balance them to find out why all the shaking and extra weights on the inside of my tire not visible unless taken off. To no surprise my guys said that's NOT how it's suppose to be. Bruton Auto repair will jack your car up just to get more money out of you. Was driving down Bruton when my car started giving me problems pulled into Bruton Auto Repair. Was kinda hesitant since I'm a women and a lot of times shops will take advantage of that. Not the case at Bruton Auto Repair!! Employees were very friendly. Moe took a look at my car and found out what was wrong with it in no time!He gave me a good price and even was able to finish it the same day! Haven't had a problem with my car since. I've done business here quite a bit,but yesterday 10/12/019 I came in for an oil change. Like always, I brought my own oil and filter. Ususally I stand outside and watch them do the work because Ive been cheated by other shops just changing the oil and not the filter. This particular time, the man who did the work pointed out that I needed to replace my worn sway bar end links. He also showed me that I had a rear main seal leak. I AM mechanically inclined so as I was repairing my end links this morning, I noticed oil collecting near where the transmission and engine meet, The second thing I noticed was THE FILTER I BOUGHT WAS NOT THE FILTER INSTALLED!!! Yes it was new,but It was a white" PREMIUM GUARD" off brand filter that wasn't even hand tight!!! This is unacceptable because the filter I bought was a "MICRO GUARD" from O'Reillys. I was able to tighten the filter to spec,but please understand this could have been catastrophic due to the fact that oil was leaking down the filter itself. Had i not been mechanically savvy ,I could be replacing an engine. I really liked coming here because they were fast and nice,but I cant do business here anymore because of the dishonest practices. My AC was blowing hot air and the first place I took it to said it would probably be at least $1000 to fix it, they weren't sure what the problem was, and they had to order parts. Went for an alignment and the guy told me it was 40 bucks. Cool. Once they started the process, they came up to me and said "hey, turns out your back wheels need an alignment too". My response.?????? I thought an alignment was for all wheels. Then he wanted to charge me 80 bucks. But ofcourse, he had already aligned the front, so i was out 40 bucks. read more

I gave Bruton Auto Repair located at 9190 bruton Rd, Dallas, TX a bad review because these ppl messed up my motor on my 06 Cadillac SRX because they didn't repair my timer chain correctly which caused it to break while driving on the road. I had it towed to them, and they said it wasnt major. All they needed to do was tighten and adjust the tension thing that the chain latches too. They had my truck over 30 days and lied many times on when to pick it up. I finally got fed up, and demanded them to work. I went there and got excuses stating the worker wasnt in. They finally called and said my motor was bad, and blamed it on me. Now, I had my truck serviced at the dealer before leaving town, and I have a print pout things were fine. Well, they didnt care and rushed me to pick it up. I have many recordings of our conversations as well. They sent my truck home with my motor in pieces in my back seat, trunk, and have my key stuck in the ignition. I told them to take my key out, and they told me to bring my truck back the next business day. I called the police and they left before they arrived. read more
