    Pulled pork poutine
    Dan P.

Excellent craft beer, nice staff, food needs help. If we rated solely on service and beer, then 5 stars. Ambiance: old building with a neighborhood, small bar vibe. Eclectic interior design best described as random bar and music themed. Beer: The nut brown ale is simply perfect. We even returned a second evening for more of the nut brown ale. The "sex on the peach" was interesting but not what I wanted. Food: We had the pulled pork poutine but it was not properly warmed. Disappointing to have cool pulled pork on top of hot fries. Service: good, friendly service Overall cleanliness: average

This place would get 5 stars if the food was better. The service is excellent. We went here twice because the nut brown ale is beyond delicious. Ambiance: This is an old building that has a musty smell, but it reminds me of some of the pubs in Scotland. I loved it! The furniture is old wood. The design is all over the place, but the music is random but really cool. Service: we walked in and we sat at a table off the bar. The bartender was right there with a menu within seconds of sitting down. We asked for recommendations and I tried the nut brown and I was sold. The bartender took our order and within seconds had our beers. Incredible and fast service. Also staff is super friendly. Food: pulled pork poutine. The fries were hot. The pulled pork was not. It just was not good to have different temperatures. Cleanliness: average

B wanted to try some of their craft brewery. We came here in the afternoon right after they just opened. I noticed that they have a stage in the dining area. Guess that means they have performances at night. B tried all their craftbrewery on the wall that day. He got 2 flights of 4: Pop A Pils, White Rabbit, Raspberry Blonde, XtraBlonde, Honey Blonde, Get with the green and Nut Brown. B said all the beers were very tasty. I had a sip and because I am not a beer drinker, I can't really comment. He said the beer was very flavorful and you know that they didn't take short cuts. Their beer does changes from time to time. Great service and great beer

(Visited on 11/12/2019) In Montreal on business and it's Tuesday, so I'm in search of some good tacos! Yelp led me here and I'll tell you all about it! Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is pretty low key though there is a nice big sign out front. There are 2 entrances. One is upstairs and one is downstairs. I went downstairs because it was the only one that I saw. I have no idea what happens upstairs. Lol. It was a party house down there! Good music, good energy and good people were just all over. I took a seat off to the left of the bar at one of the tables away from everyone else. I was merely there by myself for the food. I do remember seeing a lot of red and red light, which gave off a cool ambiance. Service: Sarah took care of me and she was awesome. She was the only one running things downstairs and was handling it! Everybody got their drinks on time, my food came out on time, everything was just splendid. Food: I got 2 orders of tacos. Each came with 3. First up were the Patron Tacos which were beef strips sautéed in a mixture with onions and green peppers, then topped with melted cheese. VERY good. They impressed me beyond my expectations. The other order I had were the Cochinita Tacos which were marinated pulled pork and pickled red onions. These were also very good! If I had to choose a favorite, I'd go with the first ones I explained. I also had the Zombie cocktail which is a concoction of 4 different rums with some fruit juices. Also delicious with plenty of strength. Value: All dollar amounts are in $CAD. Each order of tacos is $10.25 and the Zombie was $8.05. Pretty good value in my opinion and totally worth it. In conclusion, I really liked this low-key spot and you'll find me here again for another #TacoTuesday!

I used to come here every Sunday for the Open Mic, two weeks ago it looks like the Bartender forgot to charge me $10 for two shots of Vodka I ordered, when my bill came there was nothing mentioning it and I didn't really pay attention to it, yesterday night (Sunday) I went there again and for my surprise the bartender Chris came out of the bar shouting at me in front of everyone, my friends and other customers saying that I was owing him $10 (That I didn't even know I was), when I came out of my table to discuss that further at the bar, Chris was extremely rude and angry, I felt threatened by him and will make sure to NEVER come back to this place, I have never been so embarrassed in a Public spot like that. Me and my friends were 100% shocked by the situation and I couldn't ever recommend this place to anyone because of that guy. Their till system does not work as it should, if you order something at the bar and then take a table they get confused and it looks like you (The customer) is trying to avoid payment, but that's not true. I used to like this place a lot, but unfortunately I am never coming back again.

I've been here a nice handful of times, just for drinks. I'm a big fan of their home brewed beers, I always get their honey or raspberry blonde. Their ales are smooth, rich in flavor and distinctively aromatic. The raspberry has a sweet scent without being overpowering, making it my favorite. Happy hour is everyday before 8 pm, a pint will cost you just under 5$. I've never tried the food here but if you're hungry there's your typical bar menu, appetizers like wings and nachos, sandwiches and quesadillas. Consisting of 3 bars over 3 floors, Brutopia is a great place to get together as groups since seating is plentiful. The lower floor is my favorite with a mix of tables and big comfy couches. It's an unpretentious pub, where the decor is drab but those who come here aren't interested in ambiance - enjoy what they do best, cheers to beer. Working wifi would be a plus.

Gord and I like brew pubs and craft beer so we checked out Brutopia; They make their beer onsite. I ordered a Raspberry Blonde and liked it. Gord had a pale ale and a dark pale ale and he thought they were okay. JazzLee was our server. She was friendly and took good care of us.

Very misleading title! Change it! Not a tapas bar, just because you write the word "tapas" on a menu doesnt mean its tapas ---IN NO WORLD IS AN ORDER OF ONION RINGS OR FRENCH FRIES "TAPAS"! This is a good place for a beer. Great stout. Food looks blah but didnt even try so not writing bad about it. At your own risk on that.

This place is my favorite for craft beers. Their service is fast and friendly, very good explanation about beers. For the food, i ordered only poutine and chicken wings. I like the chicken wings.

Nachos- Kind of weird. I think it was pasta sauce?

Even those with more casual interest in beer probably know that DDC makes really great drinks. And yep, they were excellent. I wasn't there to do a long session, so I got a couple tasters, one including Peche Mortal and the other a NEIPA. Two very different styles and both extremely well done. Beyond that, the space had a very old-fashioned look. Really nice wooden fixtures and a very warm, welcoming vibe. The server was also attentive and friendly, but also knew when to let people sit back and enjoy their drinks. You probably don't need me to tell you, but yes, you should go.

He expressed interest in hitting up some breweries, so I did some research and compiled a few we could potentially visit. Brasserie Dieu du Ciel was one of them, and it just so happened we were in its vicinity after our Mile End food tour concluded. That being said, we made our way over. While I am not a beer person myself, I'll have a round or two if I'm with a group, and can appreciate a good brewery. My first impression of Dieu du Ciel was just that - the vibes were on walking in. The space is pretty large - kinda separated into semi- compartmentalized spaces with tables throughout. There's not much decor, but medium-toned woods throughout which gave it a sort of upscale feel. They offer a food menu, but we were just here for drinks. They have a really wide selection of beer - again, I'm no connoisseur, but I could tell that the selection was way more than other breweries I've been to. I ended up getting a cider for the first round and a stout for my second round - both very good. Service was great, and overall we enjoyed our time at Dieu du Ciel. Their selection and comfortable setting made it a standout brewery for me out of the ones I've visited in Montreal - I wouldn't hesitate to return.
