Can be beat on a beautiful fall day. Nice staff. Enjoyed the beer paddle. Ask for the ones you want.

One of the largest terrasses I've seen in Montreal, right next to the canal with lots of fresh air and no street noise. Great selection of beers at decent prices (you need to try the apricot beer)! Large tables available if you're with a large party. This place will forever be one of my Montreal favourites. I've been counting down the weeks for it to open again this year!

I've never been to Terrase St-Ambroise but bought a LivingSocial deal years ago (remember the coupon craze?) and never used it. Well, finally decided to check it out for some day drinking. We dropped in on a Wednesday afternoon (around 4:00pm). The terrasse is huge with picnic tables and tables all over the place. The view of the silos in the background is breathtaking. Loved how they had two corn bag tossing games you could play. The menu is behind the counter. There's beer, cider and wine for drinks. Snacks, pizzas, burgers and hot dogs make up the small selection of food. - Palette de dégustation ($12.00 for 6) - we went with abricot (apricot), cream ale, framboise (raspberry), stout, IPA tangerine and IPA pamplemousse (grapefruit). The apricot and raspberry were the best. Did not enjoy the cream ale or stout; both were incredibly bland and generic. Liked how you could actually taste the grapefruit in the IPA. Decent beers but they lack depth and uniqueness. Come for the chill relaxing terrasse away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Just expect generic beers.

A bit tricky to get to unless you're walking by on the canal, but a great outdoor spot in the summer. Good vibes, very limited menu, lots of beer. Oh and you can bring pets in too. Definitely worth checking out.

Came recently and there was already a crowd enjoying the sun even though it was still chilly and windy. We bundled up, stayed in the sun to keep warm and it was worth it. Very laid back atmosphere, grab a beer at the bar and find an empty seat. There are plenty of seating but I can see it filling up quickly once the hot sunny weather kicks in. They had their wood-burning pizza oven up and running already. They churned out pizzas the whole time we were there, so no worries about going hungry either. Great relaxing space to have a beer and some food in the warm summer months.

We were staying in a flat nearby for summer vacation. We loved Montréal and this place was just another reason why. My wife and I walked along the canal to get here and it was a busy Thursday scene of people, kids and dogs. Great variety of beers and they had a pizza oven going which we didn't have time for. Everyone was having a great time and so did we. The grapefruit beer was not what I was hoping for but the others were all fine.

Situated along the Lachine canal, this place is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the summer with friends. Beer. If you like beer you will be happy camper, they have many choices of beer. If you can't decide, you can get the tasting paddle with 6 different beers to taste from and then you can decide which one you prefer. I had their hotdog. It was very tasty, big sausage, juicy; reminds me the ones you get at baseball games. It also comes with house nachos which are also addictive. The ambiance is super nice; it feels like you are at a huge friend's backyard. Very cozy; with picnic tables or normal tables. Friendly staff, ambiance music, and usually nice people goes there. Overall, great little dummer spot to chill in this hot weather. PS: dogs are allowed!

What's not to like about this place?! Great outdoor terrace right by the Lachine Canal offering beer and cider on tap and a perfect laid back vibe to enjoy a quick bite and drink. This place is always busy; whether you're stopping by after your jog or bike ride on the nearby bicycle path or simply catching up with friends, this place is like a little oasis offering shade from the sun or relaxation at the end of a busy day. The look and feel is always casual so you don't need to worry about attire. Their menu includes quick bites like hotdogs, chips and even wood oven pizza cooked onsite. All their beers, which are made in the brewery next to this venue, are available on tap. I personally love their cold cider, and at 7$ a pint it's what you would pay at a bar anyways, but you come here for the vibe and view.

If you are in the area, you should definitely give this terrasse a go. The view is amazing from the picnic tables area and they have all the st Ambroise drink in pitchers, glasses and pints! I loved how local it seemed and everyone in there seemed to be having a good time of their own. There were grandmas with their dogs, couples, friends and bikers coming in for a quick drink! If you are feeling like a snack, try their nachos and salsa. I loved the house salsa and it's only 5$!

I absolutely love this place ! Lovely location fully outdoors (lots of seating) beside the lachine canal. they have a great casual fun montreal summer atmosphere , laid back , fun and full of energy :) you order your beer and/or snack and then seat yourself wherever you can find a spot (this place is always busy & for good reason). Their pints and pitchers are so cheap and so good (the beer on tap is brewed on site) My go to is their apricot beer (light and refreshing and perfect for a summer day on a beautiful open air terrasse! they accept card payments and do not take reservations Thursday's to Sunday's. They also serve some food (wood oven pizza , nachos , hot dogs , burgers), I haven't tried their food yet so I can't comment on it but it's a nice touch to have different snack options available while enjoying a nice cold beer , or two ... or three :) great spot for a 5@7!

Always great beer, great terrace, great view, and great time here! I do really enjoy their beer selection. This time I tried the Grapefruit IPA, I do recommend trying it! The premises are vast, so it's easy to find a spot to sit. Staff is always friendly. Another bonus is that it's really easy to find parking and it's free in that area. But drink responsibly.

Lazaro pizza. Extremely spicy. Wouldn't order again.

I really like this place. The symptoms great. You have great views to the fabric and the garden and great beer! Food could get better.

Working in Montreal for the week and while hunting around for dinner I did my usual Yelp'ing! I…read morediscovered Pub BreWskey near my hotel so I decided to check it out! Here's how it went... Atmosphere/Appearance: The entrance is kinda off the beaten path and the restaurant is located under what looks like some sort of laboratory. Once down the stairs you're greeted by what feels like an underground speakeasy vibes! There's exposed copper ventilation pipes, exposed warm lightbulbs, raw concrete, wood and quite a few places to sit. I sat at the bar on the metal chairs like all pros do! But off to the side is a set of stairs which leads down to the ACTUAL BREWERY where all of the beer is made! I loved that there were windows in which you could look out of to see the giant vats. Really cool. Service: Dany at the bar took excellent care of me and there was nothing more I could've asked of him. He was attentive, fun and made sure I enjoyed my time there. Food/Drinks: First up I started with their Brew Juice, a beer made right in-house. It was their "beer smoothie". It was sweet, filling, thick, sour and crazy flavorful! Tasted nothing like a beer at all. My first appetizer was the Bacon Jerky which is thick-cut bacon in a beer maple glaze, chili seasonings, sesame seeds and green onions. It was mildly sweet, salty, savory, thick, tender and really, really good and not what I was expecting given the name. My 2nd beer was the Double Goose. This one was deliciously sour, gentle, not too sweet at all or harsh. For my entree I went with their special that was written in chalk on the board! I was the Sandwich of Duck & Lamb. The salad on the side was GREAT! Good bitter greens with rich, robust dressing. The chips the sandwich also came with were seasoned well and had an excellent spicy mayo dipping sauce. Sandwich was GREAT as well! Bread was softer than expected. Rich, buttery flavor. The 2 meats were light and worked well together. The sandwich is called "Sandwich Au Lapin De Cannard", but "lapin" translates to rabbit. Warm, cheesy, comforting, filling. Lil' cajun flavor. Caught a bone or 2 while eating it. It happens. Value: It's a brewery that actually serves food and that's always a plus! All prices are in $CAD. My first 12 oz. beer was $8.75. My 2nd one was $9.00. The bacon jerky was $10.00 and the sandwich with salad and chips was $26.00. Extremely reasonable if you ask me. In conclusion, I really enjoyed my time here at Pub BreWskey and I would surely pay this place another visit. Beers rotate all the time so what I had may not even be around by the time you visit. Same goes for the specials on the chalkboard! Thank you for reading and supporting local businesses.

Maybe the trust could be a little less floppy but it was good. Table service was ok. When we first got there there was only one guy working and he was hopping. At 5:00 more workers showed typo which was great as the bar was getting more customers. It was about a 20 minute taxi back to the hotel. This was very good beer so I recommend you jump in a cab and head to Avant Garde.
