Hector the manager was very hateful to my friend, a longtime customer and Melrose native . Several of the cashiers are also less than courteous. And I advise you to check expiration dates on anything you buy there, I have purchased several things that I later found had expired. So thankful that there is a Keystone Heights alternative. After the storm passed, I attempted to return the item unused and in it's original unopened packaging along with my proof of purchase (original receipt). The clerk refused to refund my $24.59, stating that the item was Hurricane related and was not returnable. I was not informed of this policy at the time of the transaction. I will no longer patronize this business and I will caution others to avoid this place of business because of their deceptive business practices.

They will go out of their way to help a customer, ordering whatever they don't have, and repairing broken tools. Recently I brought my broken pitchfork in and they burned out the splitting wood, pried out the remains and replaced the handle. They sharpen my mower, clipper and knife blades, give advice on pool products, and stock hay, straw, chicken feed, dog food, mulch, compost, seeds, fertilizer, seedlings, kitchen supplies, you name it. We're lucky to have them close at hand.
