It was only the second time we drove it. After bringing it to their attention, we found out the engine needs to be completely rebuilt. We called the dealership hoping they would stand behind the truck they sold us, but I never got a call back. In frustration, I posted a review on Facebook about my experience, and within minutes, the sales manager called me - but not to offer help. He was rude, confrontational, and more focused on complaining about my review than offering any sort of resolution. He told me that since we drove the truck off the lot, it was now our problem, and they would not be doing anything to help. It's clear that John Holt Chevrolet doesn't care about their customers once they've made a sale. If you want a dealership that will stand behind their vehicles and do the right thing when something goes wrong, this is not the place for you. We've been told by other dealerships, like our local Ford dealership, that they would have helped us in this situation. Run, don't walk, to any other dealership. My 2021 Explorer was purchased in December 2024 as a used vehicle with just over 20,000 miles. I have put 8000 miles on those tires. My mechanic told me the tires were made in 2020. See the problem? Why would tires with 28'000 be bald? I could have had a blowout on the freeway and been killed! Did they put crappy used tires on the car before they sold it to me? Or did they mess with the odometer? My bad for not checking the tires before I bought the car.

Incorrect diagnosis and attempt to overcharge! First off, crystal in the service department was…read moregreat. She was everything I expect out of someone working on my vehicle. Communicative, active, passionate, caring, and honest. However, the one star comes from one of the service technicians. I originally came in with a bad wheel bearing and seal. A few days later they say I need a brake caliber, I say okay, then come the following week they tell me I have a bent axle at about ($8,000 to fix). Crystal is great in explaining what happen and what I need, but I just don't believe that's what I need. As I call around and discuss the problems this shop said I have, it is clear that this is not the actual problem. Come some pushback and insistence, what was initially claimed as well as the claimed inability to put it back together for me to take to another shop was resolved. I appreciate Crystal, but the techs are not to be trusted.
