I'm not sure you can find a downside to Bryant's Blueberry Farm. Parking is relatively plentiful, but is in grass, so beware what vehicle you take. When you enter grab a pre-weighed bucket and take note of what rows are being picked. Our favorite berries are located aaalllllll the way in the back. The early varieties (that ripen in the first week or so of June) are fat and juicy and sweet. Most of the time the ripe berries practically jump into your hand and rain down around you. Little ones have easy access to low branches and for you adults, I recommend reaching up and inside the bushes to find the fat berries often forgotten by others. In peak season expect a family of four to be able to fill a full bucket in about an hour. Take cash! Though they accept cards there is a small fee. They'll bag your berries and you're good to go. There are port a potties by the entrance and a good hand wash station. Don't forget to bring water and hydrate well. I wouldn't advise bothering with a stroller unless it's an air tired jogger. Terrain is tough.

We were really impressed by the amount of strawberries today & got some blueberries too! The prices per pound were posted where you purchase your ticket to ride. There is a wonderful market with fresh picked produce, jams, fresh baked goods, fudge, seasonings, etc as well to grab some goodies. Today there was live music, which was great to listen to while eating a burger from the food truck and a flatbread ordered from inside. Other things we'll have to try on our next visit are the homemade ice cream and a wine tasting.

We arrived a little bit early and had lunch at the cafe on-site, which was pretty good, and then we checked in for our tour. What people may not know is that below the gift shop area is where a lot of the barrels and such are. I think our tour guide's name was Ricky and she was very good, I learned a little bit about the distillery. We had chosen the bottle your own experience, which ended up being really unique. At the end of the tour, we got to taste a few of the bourbons, literally from the barrels, and then we got to fill a bottle from one of the open barrels. After that, we put a sticker/the label one, plus one with our name, and another with the back label. Differentiation was encouraged, although we all put them on standardly except for my husband, who had the four of us plus Ricky sign the bottle, which was fun. I believe the tour was $100 each, and just the bottle itself would've been like $80, so for $20 extra, it was a good deal. At the end of the tour, they let us taste a good portion of their wines and other whiskeys and bourbons; I will say their wines were not that great, unfortunately, though there were two that I liked and purchased. They were very generous with the tastings and I don't think there was a maximum number ... I tasted maybe 1/3 of what was on the sheet, aka open for tastings. Overall I would come back here, although I probably wouldn't need to do the tour a second time (it would be fun to see the rickhouses, though).

I totally enjoyed my visit to The Seedlings U pick flower farm for a Farm to Jar class. The drive…read morefrom Indianapolis was easy and the farm is about 10 minutes off of 69's exit for Sample rd. right before you get to Bloomington. When I arrived to the farm the first thing that I did was cover myself in bug spray and I didn't have any issues the entire hour and a half. Laura the owner greeted me instantly and introduced herself and how she got started with her business while we waited for everyone to arrive. We begun the class at a picnic table setup with a beautiful floral arrangement, sheers for cutting flowers, water because it was hot, 1 large, and 1 small mason jar. We were told the large jar was for ourselves and the small jar was for a friend:) Laura guided us through the rows of flowers telling us how much to pick and how to determine what was ready to pick. We picked the flowers in groups of three or five and all of the arrangements looked beautiful. I would definitely recommend checking out the farm any morning or evening to pick some fresh cut flowers when available, joining a class, or booking flower arrangements for your next event.

After a drive outside of town, we found the farm easily with Google maps, but overshot the drive. As we turned around we could see some of the flower fields and we're so excited... Walking up to the main building, where the sweet owner, Laura, and her family live, she mentioned the sunflowers were over the hill. As we walked the short distance we couldn't believe our eyes when we saw the sea of sunnies! They were gorgeous and so tall. At least five different types that we counted while wandering through the forest and cutting blooms to take home. We also enjoyed the zinnias and other blooms to walk through and pick. The flowers are beautiful, but so is the story and spirit of the owner. Take some time to chat with her and you will be uplifted! Our blooms lasted well over a week and we will be back. The five year old with us loved every minute of it, but I think the adults enjoyed it more. Oh, we also got to walk by the cows, goats, and sheep for some extra entertainment. If you can't make it out to the farm for an event, she makes appearances in her Seedlings truck around town at markets and special events. We even saw her in front of Switchyard brewery recently!

Which worked because the family and I enjoyed it a lot and we came back about 5 years later with my now larger family and a few friends. Not going to lie I kinda forgot about this place until the photos popped up on my Facebook memories today. So it inspired me to share my old photos and review on yelp. When we last went the farm was called Deere farms. The reason we enjoyed it so much is it is a alternative to hubers. Nothing personal against hubers as it is great as well. But this place does not have the insane crowds hubers does and it's more peaceful. The reason you go to farms is for fresh air and space. At hubers it can get stressful with the huge crowds and watching out for your small kids. Off memory this place has the traditional pumpkin patch, a short but neat little wagon Ride through the Forrest, corn guns, corn maze, inflatables, unique play ground and a small Petting zoo. I'm sure I'm missing some things and some things may have been added or removed by now with time and a name change. Every time me and my family went we have loved it. Pricing is a bit on the high end but like most farms during this fall season that is to be expected. They do/did have concessions with hot dogs, sodas and candy apples. So you could spend the day there and eat and take your time. We will have to try and get out here soon and check this place out again. May not be able to This year because of covid precautions (not sure what all is open or even open at all). But if they are open I would highly recommend especially if you are looking for a less crowded and different experience than hubers farm.
