Donald did such a good job changing out a bathroom tub and faucet drain at my Gurnee home, I made sure to contact him to do a bigger job down at my rental property in downtown Chicago. One of the sprayers in an old Jacuzzi tub in one of our units was leaking and the plumber we called out to look at it gave us an estimate that fixing it would run into the thousands of dollars, so I called Donald to go down to see if he could come up with alternatives. At first, he suggested that he could probably fix the sprayer for a reasonable amount or replace it with a standard tub, but the tenants asked if we might install an in-unit washer-dryer instead. Donald said he'd be able to do that as well. He is always prompt in responding to messages and the quality of his work was top notch as always (see photos). I'll also add that he was generous with his time and willingness to share advice on how to address other home improvement issues with our rental property that we did not ultimately ask him to fix, such as helping us look up solutions to install a collapsible ladder to access the attic and replacing patio doors. I'm thankful that he was willing to drive all the way down to the city to do the work, and he was very fast and efficient in getting the job done. In addition, we ran into a couple of issues with matching tiles in the bathroom and putting doors on over the new space for the in-unit washer-dryer combo. Each time he was great with his communication and offered thoughtful advice. He also went above and beyond by making two extra trips downtown to address those problems. I sincerely appreciate how he makes sure to get the job done right, and with quality. My biggest concern in writing a second glowing review of him is that he'll get too much work and won't have any time to help me when I need his help again! lol. Donald is awesome. Old utility sink was removed and the new one was added. When the plastic ring that came with the new sink had a slight leak, Donald replaced it with a rubber one which solved the issue. Fantastic work that my wife and I are very happy with. read more

Donald responded within 5 minutes and came out the next morning to do the job. Getting to the siding was a bit tricky because it was above the stairs to the deck, but he figured it out and got the job done quickly. He quoted me a reasonable price for the work and in the end charged me less than half of what he quoted. Thought that was honest and showed integrity. He was also really friendly. I thought this was going to be a good guy, with a good company. He seemed nice and seemed to know what he was talking about. I picked him to do the work over others because he seemed knowledgeable and capable. Boy, was I wrong! He delayed my job until Friday, then he texted and apologized and said his wife said he had an event to go to in the city, so he would come on Saturday afternoon. It had already been a delay of about a week. He asked me to send him photos of the handicap grab bar and I did. We discussed the particulars of needing it installed into the studs through tile. I even sent him pictures of the exterior wall and the tiles shower. He showed up on Saturday and claimed he didn't have the right hole saw and would need to delay even more and go out and buy one and come back on Monday. He also showed up with his wife in the car, so was he expecting her to wait in the car for him while he completed a 2 hour job??? Unprofessional!!! The cat and mouse game came to a stop. Don't ever use this guy or company. Any handyman who asks for photos and still doesn't show up with the right tools, and excessively delays the job, just don't even bother calling this guy. If the job wasn't big enough for him, he should have been honest and said so. He actually told me that no job was too small for him, yet he found every excuse to play games. BTW, this was an installation of a handicap accessible shower grab bar, so shame on him for putting people in more danger! Run away from this guy! I tried reaching out to him before posting this. I wanted to give him the opportunity to explain his behavior. He hasn't responded. So, he took advantage of a handicapped person and played games! And he said he'd do the work for $55/hr and most likely the cost would be around $110.00 What a bad guy and a person who lacks ethics, values, morals and definitely lacks the skill. Run, run, very fast!!! If I could do 0 stars, I would! It sucks for him, too, because there are some remodeling things that will be done in the next year. Now, he'll not get those jobs either! A lot can happen in a year from his previous reviews. Did I say Run? Run away fast!!! Don't waste your time! This guy doesn't do what he says. The owner of the company who replied tells a nice story. I needed someone to come and fix my front door that has been sticking- it was to the point that I thought I was gonna rip the knob off just trying to open it. I called on a Friday and figured I'd be lucky if I could get someone out within the week. To my delight, the owner was able to come out that afternoon, and even texted that he would try to get to my place earlier than his original ETA. He was beyond professional and pleasant.
