    Moved into a building managed by capital companies NY in august 2021. Individually, the following…read moreissues were not a big deal but cumulatively you have to ask yourself if moving into a new place should be so fraught with hiccups with an established company. The apartment was not fully cleaned (fridge needed to be wiped down, crumbs and food particles in drawers and cabinets, and most concerning was a thick mat of someone else's lint in the dryer). That wasn't really a huge issue, I don't mind cleaning up some when moving in. Another issue was that building management changed the day we actually moved in- and despite capital companies assurance our pro rated first month (moved to second month) would transition to the new management it was actually quite a process to receive our pro-ration. Capital also tacked on 9.50 for landlord insurance to the monthly rent, which does not protect the tenants possessions at all and is not a substitute for renters insurance, I feel like this hidden cost should not be passed on to renters. As a property management company they should also have been aware that the state of New York forbids security deposits greater than the first months rent in any form or fashion - we were new to the state and had no idea but this is pretty common knowledge. Nonetheless they took a $1000 refundable pet security deposit from us on top the security deposit for the rental. One last thing.. They required we sign in with national grid prior to moving in to start utilities, well national grid doesn't have meters listed under the address or unit numbers for the apartment as advertised. We had to pursue capital companies to get us the meter numbers to start service.

    I have rehabbed and sold homes for over 30 years. I do not use a selling agent, and sell my homes…read moreby purchasing an mls. In over 30 years, I have NEVER had a negative experience with a realtor. Last week I was contacted by Robert Taylor an agent with KW Platform..he scheduled an appt to show his clients my home. When I was forced to cancel his appt due to his lack of communication as well as a family emergency, I politely told him he could reschedule his appt for anytime beyond that particular day. Mr. Taylor called me and erupted in an abusive, loud, unprofessional demeaning attack on me. When I ended the call he continued texting abusive and insulting messages. When I called KW. Platform to inform them that I would be happy to provide access for Mr. Taylors clients to view my home provided another agent from their office accompany them. I told them that I no longer felt comfortable dealing with Mr. Taylor. Rather than apologizing for his actions or making other arrangements for the clients to view my home, the office manager spent the entirety of the call defending Mr. Taylor. Today Mr. Taylor once again attempted to make an appt to show my home, I denied his request explaining that I did not feel comfortable dealing with him..he then began calling my phone even though I told both him and KW Platform that I did not want him to contact me due to his abusive behavior. Because this request was ignored I was forced to contact Marc Weiss Broker of KW Platform. Mr. Weiss was not only arrogant and rude, but he actually said he understood why Mr. Taylor treated me as he had..he then went on to tell me that he held a high position in the MLS and that I LEGALLY had to allow his abusive agent Mr. Taylor access to my home and that if I didnt, he would be sure to have my home removed from the MLS. I immediately contacted my attorney who is currently in contact with KW Legal , the NYS Dept of State..and The National Association of Realtors. I have also been informed that Marc Weiss was not being truthful when he stated that I had a legal obligation to allow his abusive agent access to my home nor does he have the authority to remove my home from the MLS. In my opinion Mr. Taylor, the KW Platform office team and Marc Weiss lack the honesty, respect and competence necessary to provide a satisfactory experience when it comes to the purchase and sale of a home.

    This realty company engages in BID RIGGING. It has happened more than once to me with homes listed…read moreby them. From the countless negative reviews, this company should be reported multiple times and dealt with on an institutional level. I for one, will purposely avoid any properties that they list, and I will go out of my way to advise anyone on the market to stay away from Keller Williams Realty.
