Absolutely the best burgers! The home baked buns (and croissants!) particularly set it apart. Great service too!

The Lamplight Inn met all our needs for a two night stay in Panguitch. I booked a three queen room…read morebecause initially we thought there would be three of us. It turned out there were only two of us but for the price the room was still a bargain. The pictures online were a little deceiving in that to me it appeared that it was three beds in one room, but it's actually two beds in the main room and a separate bedroom with the third bed. The room has the basics, microwave, fridge and coffee machine. The room was clean and comfortable and the owner is onsite. It's conveniently located next to a gas station that has a Subway, Yogurtland and whatever other market items you might need. And because it's on the main street there are other restaurants within walking distance. We were in town for a road bike event but this is a great option if you plan on exploring nearby Bryce Canyon.

The person who checked use in was a creep and followed us around the property while we walked our dogs. This same person had no concern the temperature inside the room was not acceptable. There was no hot water either. He was rude. When we arrived he pretended not to speak english. The next morning he spoke perfect english. He refused to compensate for the lack of heat. Would never stay here again. Turned him into the health department will be sending a email to the city re: the lack heat. Will also be contacting environmental services for the city.

There are a few things that give me an indication of a well-run park. 1) Friendly caring staff 2) clean well-manicured RV sites and 3) The facilities are clean, well-ventilated, i.e. smell fresh and operational. Henries Hitch n Post excels on all 3! If these items are in order, you can pretty much expect the hook-ups are in order as well and they were. A note. As far as facilities are operational goes, if the park has a laundry facility my experience is there tends to be some "out of order" machines the majority of the time. Not here! The laundry room has over 10 machines and 10 dryers (didn't count) and everyone one is operational. Wow! First rate. As for the human touch, its amazing. Our short stay turned into an unanticipated longer stay due to a family emergency. Immediately the managers Ed and Beth were on top of things to assist in helping me. The emergency required some family help and Ed and Beth made sure they could stay on site so we could be close together. My instructions from them were take what time you need to address your situation and don't worry about other things we got you. This amazing hospitality and concern for us was such a big help. I told friends and family about this and a common comment is small town hospitality. Yes, probably some of that but it's mainly Ed and Beth. That's the type of people they are. Warm, caring and sincere with big hearts.

She aways makes it fun with potlucks, a huge brunch, Friday, before Saturday Balloon launch, and drawings for an amazing handmade quilt. The larger sites, where we stay, have a large fake turf area. Super nice. This year my puppy got really sick. I think it started at home. Beth made her a huge pot of bone broth. A cure for everything, and it worked. She is always looking out for everyone, even our pets. Thank you for such a great time. Highly recommend Henrie"s Hitch "N" Post. We'll see you next year!

Beds seem that they needed a upgrade, some of the furniture was dated. The shower was small for a big guy as myself, pressure was ok. Staff was nice and kind. Bed Bugs and worst management…read more I booked this motel for 2 nights with my family. After a long drive, we reached around 11 PM and got Room 12. Around 1 AM, I woke up from continuous biting and found a bed bug on my hand. When we turned on the light, several bed bugs were crawling on the bed, and my spouse was also bitten. I reported it to manager Anushka and showed her the bugs. She did not seem surprised or concerned. From her reaction, it strongly appeared to me that the property may have already known about this issue but still assigned us that room. The motel was full, so I asked for a refund and another hotel. From about 1:30 AM to 3:30 AM, we sat in the office while Anushka made calls. When I asked what the owner was saying, I was told he had not been called because he must be sleeping. Guests were bitten and awake, but disturbing the owner seemed to matter more. After I insisted, owner Sunny was called. Instead of apologizing, he said pest control had been done recently and I could call the health department if I had concerns. Later he offered his private room, but wanted me to sign a lease agreement, which was unreasonable. We finally slept around 5 AM in his private room which was equally dirty but without bed bugs. We slept just for 4 hours and left next morning, and booked another hotel. We also had to wash and dry our belongings to avoid carrying bed bugs. This ruined our sleep, planning, and vacation. I would not recommend this motel in any condition.

Therefore, the fewer choices for non-monopolistic groceries, gas and amenities, like Ruby's. Old Panguitch town is a leisurely 30 minute country drive to the park entrance. Close knit residents serve the town, hospitality, farming and ranching industries. There are a few restaurants, Antique/Gift Shops, 2 grocers, and a Chevron Gas. Oh, you need to hit the State Liquor store if you want booze or Wine. FYI 6/2021 They are currently building a new "Travel Lodge." Managers/Owners David (Cowboy) and Chrissy are friendly, garrulous, accommodating and usually are found on property cleaning, improving or involved with local events. They have clearly assimilated to Utah from Texas. When we arrived we were upgraded to an awesome kitchenette because we did not have TV cable in one room. Since we were hiking and riding, it was great to store beverages and prepare a few dinners comfortably. The grounds are not manicured but clean. The Motel Rooms are rustic and thread-bare worn but they are clean enough for a couple of nights. You might need to drop a few bucks at Joe's or Family Dollar if you want to cook a meal. I did and had fun figuring how to cook and serve a great family Bolognese pasta dish without tongs or a colander. Are there certainly some things that could be improved: another mirror, mounted TV, bathroom layout, clean window treatments, new carpet, basic kitchen tools, a coat of paint, trimming sticking doors, recycling bins, rickety chairs, on and on and on. However, this review of our personal expectations are realistic and tempered with locale, price, convenience and availability. I expected that this would not be the Ritz-Carleton in Paris, France. We needed TP, a wine opener and suggestions beyond the park (Cedar Break) and they were welcoming to those who were as equally friendly and non-judgemental. We don't know what else is out there, but you have our 2-cents for this little, safe and friendly place.
