The reservations were so simple plus, picking up the key to our room was even easier than ever checking into a hotel. The rooms were super clean, we stayed in the newer part of the establishment, which is the barn. My sister-in-law and sister gave me a hard time because they thought the barn meant something different. To their surprise, they love the place!! And I have to say I had no idea what I was missing til we stayed at the Garden Cottage this time. From the time we parked and walked through their amazing and vibrant gardens up the the most adorable ivy-covered porch, to being greeted by the most warm and gracious hosts. The parlor is filled with vintage chairs of the most comfortable and interesting variety, the shelves full of books with old classic covers and the smell if years gone by when you open them. The kitchen is full of every delightful china and crystal you've ever seen, and all arranged in honey ways, like someone has very carefully designed every cubby, every wall, and just about every square inch. We stayed in the Morning Glory room, which has a separate entrance from the main house, which in itself is very nice and private. Even better, it's located right next to the backyard garden--through the most beautiful flower-adorned arch you make your way into the fairy tale-like gardens in back, which are exactly as magical as you thought they might be by the gardens in front. Just like everything else in this place, every inch is carefully laid out with the most beautiful flowers and plants, and the most adorable seating, including the perfect vine-wrapped swing. I took the liberty to bring my oil pastels out to the garden this morning to let the sunshine and vibrant scenery inspire me, and I recommend everyone else do the same! There's something about this place that will inspire you to take up colors and try to create something beautiful yourself! I could go on forever about the delicious breakfasts and delightful company, or the room itself and the fine furnishings and adorable flowery asornments, but I feel like I've given you enough now that you need to stay here a few nights and find all of the treasures out yourself!

Our room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped: nice ensuite bathroom, king bed, 2 fans, 2 nightstands, table and chairs, closet, mini-fridge. The location is superb, with mountain views, nearby eateries, and just a short walk to the Springdale shuttle, which can take you to Zion NP or elsewhere in the area. The backyard gardens were beautiful, and there were hummingbirds in continuous motion when we visited in September. And let's not forget the second B: the breakfasts were healthy, tasty, and beautiful to behold. Paradise indeed! We will be back!

We all know that when anything lasts this long it must be very special and that's exactly what this charming place is! We've stayed here a few times and each time has been wonderful. There are only a handful of rooms to begin with and I love smaller properties with less people around. I also love historic places with tons of charm and a dash of quirkiness. Located less than a mile from the park! Also centrally located in town meaning you can literally walk to restaurants, shops, grocery store, and a great coffee shop in the morning. If you'd like a very hearty breakfast you may purchase a $5 voucher from Oscar's Cafe which is a really great deal. I can only hope that this place will be around until the end of time.

It was not made clear during the reservation process that Room 3 does not have a standard shower. Instead, it has a claw-foot tub with a handheld shower head that must be held while showering, or the tub can be used for bathing. I believe this should be clearly disclosed so guests can make an informed decision before booking. The description of "European style shower" does not make it clear that you cannot take an actual shower in the room. We actually wound up getting passes for the Zion canyon hot springs just so we could shower during our stay. I understand this is a historic inn, but that does not eliminate the expectation of basic accommodations, such as a functioning toilet seat and an adequate supply of toilet paper. When we checked in, the toilet seat was cracked, and there was only a half roll of toilet paper provided. I messaged to ask where I could find more, and I was told someone would bring it that evening. By 9:00 p.m., nothing had arrived, so I followed up and asked whether I should go to a nearby store to purchase toilet paper and a replacement toilet seat, since the one in our room was broken. The owner/manager called me and said, "I didn't realize this was such a crisis for you." I found that response unnecessarily dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. He also told me the toilet seat would not be repaired during our stay, but then explained where I could find additional toilet paper myself. I was disappointed that this information was not provided when I first asked several hours earlier. The following day, the toilet seat was replaced. I guess although he didn't think it was a "crisis", he did realize having a functioning toilet seat was important. The inn has historic charm, but the property appears run down and in need of better maintenance. It is possible to preserve the character of a historic building while still keeping the infrastructure and basic amenities up to standard. This place has a great deal of potential, but in its current condition and with the current level of management, it does not meet the expectations of a 3-, 4-, or 5-star stay. The highlight of our visit was leaving the inn to eat breakfast at Oscar's. The food was delicious and this was the best part of our stay. There is no one consistently on site to assist with issues that arise during a stay, no traditional check-in or check-out process, and no one actively monitoring the property. Unfortunately, the combination of poor communication, dismissive management, and the lack of basic amenities resulted in a disappointing experience. I would not recommend staying here.

I wish every hotel we had was this good. Not breaking the bank, but new hardware, friendly staff, gorgeous setting, clean, everything! Apparently they offer e-bikes too. Breakfast was included in a nearby Mexican place (huge portion!). The highlight is their hot tub on a hill in the back, overlooking the Red Rock Inn and the surrounding mountains. Just amazing. The cabin felt so new; I love the soaking jacuzzi tub in the spacious bathroom. Sharon checked us in; she was super friendly and introduced us to the cute white puppy who was sort of the dog in residence. When we had questions about WiFi in our cabin and other small things, we were able to reach her on the phone. We stayed at the Zion Lodge inside the national park for the first few days of our hiking trip; it was a dump compared to Red Rock Inn, which is much more civilized. It is in Springdale, a very pleasant town at the entrance to Zion.

The bathroom fan made a horrible noise so the light was unusable. Host said there was nothing she could do. Door looked like someone tried to break it. There's no heat or air control in individual rooms so it got cold. Was this stay almost $250? No way. The location to the NP was great (about 15-20 minutes) but there has got to be somewhere nicer to stay in the area.

The views were gorgeous being on the edge of town, and we loved being able to go on easy walks, saying hi to the cute chickens in the backyard, and of course being close to Bryce! You can tell the new owners and host care about the property and their guests' experiences. We loved it, and can't wait to go back!
