The lobby has a super tall ceiling and a lodge-like feel, really fancy and modern. Plenty of parking. The breakfast included breakfast with a big buffet of scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with ham, pancakes, cereal, sausage, bacon, fruit, tater tots, breakfast muffins and donuts had much more choices than the Best Western we stayed at in at Springdale for Zion National Park. There is one elevator. Pay attention to the receptionist when they tell you the floor. Our room was 3461, and he said the 4th floor which seemed like a mistake until we got out on the 3rd floor and could not find our room. The second digit refers to the floor number. The first number refers to the building. Room was clean, comfortable, spacious and the bathroom vanity was long. There was an inexpensive Keurig machine. I successfully made my coffee, but my husband couldn't get the machine to turn on again even with wife help. Microwave in the room. Our mini-fridge was warm and fiddling with the temperature control didn't seem to start it up. I put those comments on my Best Western survey and the general manager responded and thanked me and said the problems would be addressed. The pool and hot tub are located in the center of the buildings, so it can be more shaded there in the afternoon. The park shuttle does not stop at this hotel but Ruby's Inn about 7 - 10 minutes walking. We drove the 0.5 miles for dinner there - Cowboy's Buffet and Steak Room. We got there about 5:40 pm and by 6:30 pm, it looked like a 30-45 minute line. When they run out of the ribs, you might be stuck eating the buffet or other menu choices. The ribs were good!

Great location right outside of the park. Good check in. Parked fairly close to front. Room was…read morewarm and comfortable. A little loud on first floor but tolerable. Fantastic breakfast. Little pricey but if you've hiked all day and aren't camping, this is a good alternative. All the staff were professional and friendly. Coffee always available in the lobby. I'd come back and stay again.

This property is on Hwy 24, with no other buildings or structures to shelter it from the noise,…read morehowever, with the setback and the construction of the lodging - I didn't hear any freeway noise at all. That was a very pleasant surprise. This place seems newly constructed and was very nicely designed to be spacious feeling in a very simple way. The main building was just a row of rooms, similar to a motel, but the artistry of the rope walls flowing like a canyon, really uplifted the whole feel. In the room the green plants, wall art and simplicity of a clean room, with the space to have comfy seating gave a feeling of ease. The open view to the cliff wall from the sliding door wall was about the prettiest scene you would want out of your bedroom. They offer rooms with and without a hot-tub on the back porch, as well as dome rooms, some with skylights for night time star viewing. However the domes don't open for reservations until sometime in April, the rooms with hot-tubs go very quickly!! I regret to say that we only stayed overnight. I now wish I had given us more time in this delightful hotel.

Incredibly clean and huge thank you to the folks who refreshed our room!! We got the king suite with hot tub on the patio. As everyone mentioned, stunning views. The stargazing rooftop was a fun option! The customer service was outstanding. The owner Joshua helped make sure our stay was perfect! All of the other staff we interfaced with were wonderful too. I also love the reusable water bottles in the mini fridge. We used those throughout the stay and were perfect after hiking!! Love the Shooke Coffee in the rooms with the French press - the best way to have coffee in a hotel. Definitely checkout their storefront while you're in town! No complaints, no notes. Would recommend to everyone! Thank you, Skyview!

And as of January 2025, the owners of the Grill have acquired the Lodge, so it's all one entity now. The Lodge has very comfortable rooms, a pond with an amazing variety of resident and migratory birds, a second-floor Great Room and balcony overlooking the pond, a hot tub, and ample grounds for children and pets to run. It's an easy drive up to Capitol Reef National Park for the day. Burr Trail Scenic Backway, starting right around the corner, is 67 miles of some of the most beautiful terrain you'll ever see. Don't miss the little slot canyon 11.5 miles down the trail! Last summer I took a pillow and some reading material and set up on two flat rocks near the back end of the slot canyon. It's nature's most gorgeous reading room ever! The Grill features vegetables and salads from their farm, local pastured beef and bison, and some of the best desserts ever. My two favorite orders are the Dinner Jenchilada with calabacitas (squash) and the Chocolate Chile Cream Pot. But they are both rich, so I have them on different days. Big secret -- it tends to be quieter in mid-summer! People think it's going to be hot in July, like other Utah areas like Zion, so they plan to come later. But the average July high is just 88, with an overnight low of 60, so the wonderful hiking trails nearby are pleasant for morning and evening hikes pretty much every day.

I want to start with a genuine thank you -- when my daughter realized she had left her beloved…read morestuffed bunny behind, the staff helped locate it and were told mailed it back to us...That kindness meant the world to our family, and I don't want it to go unacknowledged. That said, I have an obligation to be honest, especially for other parents traveling with very young children. We booked this property with two kids under 3 years old. Safety isn't optional at that age -- it's everything. What we found were two issues I cannot stay silent about: No working smoke detectors. The smoke detectors throughout the property had no sensor units -- just empty mounting brackets on the ceiling. Not malfunctioning. Not beeping. Simply absent. Traveling with toddlers and having zero fire detection in the home is not something I can minimize. I have photos. This is a life-safety issue and likely a code violation. A deteriorating outdoor deck. The deck showed significant structural wear -- peeling surfaces, weathered and unstable balusters, and exposed nails/slates. With two children under 3 who are at exactly the age of touching, falling, and exploring everything, we did not feel safe letting them near it. Cleanliness -- a pattern, not a one-off. Other reviewers have flagged this too, and we experienced it firsthand. The oven was dirty on arrival. The BBQ grill was coated in old bacon grease from a previous guest -- who had actually left a handwritten note saying "sorry" about the state they left it in. That note tells you everything: even the last guest knew it wasn't acceptable. We also found dead bugs in the trash. These aren't dealbreakers on their own, but combined with the safety issues above, it paints a picture of a property that isn't being properly maintained or turned over between guests. I raised these issues with management and provided documentation. The response was a $90 credit with no explanation, and a brief reply that the issues were "being addressed." No acknowledgment of the severity. No real accountability. If you're traveling without children, your calculus may be different. But if you're booking with little ones, please factor this in. We tried to resolve it privately and in good faith -- I'm sharing this so you can make an informed decision. Don't stay here.
