Y'know, i've passed Bryson park while taking Lawrenceville highway probably a good 60, 70 times before I finally paid it a visit today. Bryson park it's a very nice and well maintained park. I didn't see one stray piece of trash on any of the grounds, and for a public park, that's saying something, so kudos for that. Bryson sits on 72 acres, and they take advantage of the space, as you can find a large basketball court (outdoor), volley ball court with sand, two soccer fields, a children's play area, football field, and several park benches, grills, and a multi purpose paved trail that meandered around the park. There's also three different restroom areas that are all fairly nice, and I can't forget the pavilions that can be found at the park. There are a couple of different parking lots but around 11 am, the entire park was practically empty, with me being the only car there for quite a while, although it was a Monday morning and smoke from the N. GA fires were just starting to float on in, so I can understand that. There were a few things I didn't like about the park. The trails, while maintained, had no markers along them, so you had no concept of how far, or where I was going. Turns out it wasn't that far (one half mile from the park's website), but i'd have liked to have known. I also looked for a general park map, and i'm not saying it's not there, but if it is, they sure hid it well, because it definitely was not along the trail. Someone mentioned safety in their review if finding themselves alone, and i'm a guy, but as the paved trail went deeper into the woods, with no idea of where I was going, I was on high alert. The trails were large enough for a bike to navigate around people, and hills kept the trails entertaining. Finding water fountains that worked were hit or miss. Some worked, most didn't, and most of the fields were locked down, although that may be temporary. All in all, Bryson Park is a welcome edition to the Gwinnett parks, that while small, definitely can hold its own, and likely is packed in the summer time. But it's still a nice park when you have it all to yourself as well.

The longer trail, about 1/2 mile long.

Also a distant memory is the friendly, attentive service from people who cared about your health and experience. You'll never have a problem locating the only working cardio machine because it's never crowded. Your prompt departure from the facility is now greatly appreciated else management will disallow your membership thus purifying the environment for the proprietors to a preferred type of patron. So if you love a place with the narrowest range of availability at some of the least competitive prices in the market, there is no better place in the entire area. It's a delight to see the entire facility has been perfectly preserved right down to the sweat from the once vibrant racquet ball circuit. All you have to do is touch one of those classic sauna walls and a piece to take with you might come off in your hand. You couldn't be working out with better members. They are always cleaning things up helping to make sure the environs are always lifted up. For those who still love the old game, the racquet ball courts that haven't been turned into storage are waiting for you. I just love the vibe of the place. Management is so concerned not to upset to archeological significance of the facility that they are hard pressed to even change some of the light bulbs. A true monument to what a vibrant community workout center of the 80's was.

Some of the equipment is rusty, and the field itself is falling apart in several areas, which makes it feel unsafe and not worth the rental price. On top of that, the owner, Jason, has been rude and snarky during visits. Every time our rental time is almost over, he shows up right by the field pretending to watch and clap along like he is enjoying the game, but it honestly feels more like he is trying to rush everyone off and be passive-aggressive about it. For a place that rents out fields, the quality of the pitch and the customer service should be much better. I would not recommend this place unless they seriously improve the field conditions and the way they treat customers.
