1/20/2021 Bryson…read morePark has a paved trail that splits off in about 3 directions. The entirety of these interconnected paved paths is about 1.5 miles. The main trail located near the playground loops around making it .5 miles, but if you take the stairs up to the field there is another.5 miles of paved track. Also off of the main trail near the backside soccer fields is a walk way that takes you pass the parking lot and the trail continues around. All in all it is a nice park with friendly people. There are no steep hills or rocky areas making this trail an easy walk/run. The park is also equipped with soccer fields, a basketball court and small playground. My dog loved the walk and getting to meet other friendly dogs, however there is not a separate dog area or any big open spaces ( besides for the gated soccer field)

The park itself is wonderfully maintained with plenty of green spaces, picnic areas, walking trails, and spots to relax. The aquatic center is a fun spot! The pool is clean, and the multiple water slides are thrilling for the children. The wade pad was a hit with the little ones. My 2 complaints would be (which is why I am giving Bethesda Park and Aquatic Center a 4.5/5 rating and not a full 5 stars) is regarding the water temperature and no seating within pool area. We found the pools to be quite cold. Bethesda Park and Aquatic Center will become one of our go-to spots at times. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Despite the cold water and lack of seating, the quality of the center, the well-maintained park, and the customer service is exceptional, making for a memorable experience.

There is ample parking the couple of times we went, but not sure what it's like when it's a busier time on a weekend. There's an expansive playground which no normal kid would not love, but the star is the trail itself. Much of it is boardwalk, through some residential areas), which made it possible for our 4-yo grandson to hone his trainer-bicycle skills. The fact that much of it is shaded is especially important in HOT-lanta during the summer. There's a neat resto in a double-decker gus replica nearby where you can get refreshments if you need it. When…read moreI was there, I observed a kids soccer game, picnickers, hikers, dogs being walked by their owners, Girl Scouts having a meeting, fisherpeople, photoshoots, children playing, birthday parties, and people just chilling by the lake. Seriously, that's nearly everyone who wants to be outside! Regarding hiking, the trails are not marked very clearly. The map doesn't show all the turnoffs, and it gets confusing. Maybe it's this way to give you a sense of adventure? At least it's tough to get really lost since you're often within sight of houses or the road. Beautiful woods! As for restrooms, there was a porta potty in the parking lot adjacent to the playground by Lake Erin, and the map indicates that there are other restrooms in Henderson Park too. Speaking of maps, I might recommend a quick peek at one before you go since the park can be accessed from different roads (Henderson and Livsey). Didn't get to explore the other side of the park with the native plant and wildlife walk this trip but next time!

This is a great neighborhood park. If I lived nearby, I'd take a walk here every chance I could. In addition to the trails, there are athletic fields, a kids play area and a great wide deck where people can look out at the lake or eat a nice lunch. There is a lot of parking and the park itself is well-maintained. I was able to find a map of the park trails online, and it was helpful but trail maps aren't perfect. I tried to walk as many of the trails as I could, but I was turned around a lot. We'd also had a lot of rain prior to my visit so a lower trail path by the lake was flooded. There is a small waterfall in the park, and I think I saw it but I'm not sure. There were a lot of rock formations in the creeks/streams, and none were labeled. I went to Henderson Park with a friend who needed to use the bathroom. The main bathrooms are located on the west end of the park by the soccer fields. On the east end of the park, there are port-a-potties. There are no bathrooms near the kids park which was a surprise and why I mention where the bathrooms are located. Overall, I'm glad that I gave Henderson Park a visit. The people who live nearby are lucky to have it.

Lillian Webb Park is 5 acres and a city park that has an interactive splash pad and volleyball courts. It's like I walked into a storybook or something, the park is beautifully landscaped and the central focus is a waterfall. There are so many beautiful things that are Instagram worthy. It was a beautiful with clear skies but surprisingly the park wasn't crowded. Its opened from 8 to 10 Monday to Sunday. The park has an open green space perfect for a game of catch or an outdoor lunch on a blanket. You can also find lots of benches on each level of the park, a gazebo and 6 swinging benches. If you decide to drive you'll have access to two parking lots. You also have access to several restaurants that are within walking distance.

There are some rundown looking homes next door and the street the park in on is busy so be careful. People speed through this area like there isn't a park with kids playing. The gardens are in beautiful, stone, raised beds and are rented yearly by community members. Community members tend to their own gardens, as well as the common spaces throughout the year. A number of events are held in the garden for the community, including cooking demonstrations (using the garden's cleaning station, grill, and green egg), gardening lessons, and celebrations. The garden includes a children's garden, where kids can enjoy digging in the dirt, too. This is a beautiful spot for frequent visits, as the gardens frequently change throughout the year.
