While I haven't been to the physical location we have ordered delivery many times. The food is amazing and consistent! Firstly you have to try the roasted pork! Melt in your mouth tender and so full of flavor! When given the choice we always upgrade to the garlic rice. Omg it's divine and works with everything. My husband is particularly fond of the pork spring rolls! Everyone we order we get one or two favorites and then one or two new items to try. From the soup to the stews to the bbq platters we have yet to be disappointed. I hadn't heard of this joint when it was suggested as a lunch possibility, but given that it's only about 10 minutes away from my place, I figured it was definitely worth checking out. I'm so glad I did. It's a small, homey place that doesn't have a ton of seating, although we arrived at around lunchtime on a recent Sunday and the joint was almost empty. I had looked at the website prior to visiting, and I knew I had to try their Lechon Sisig Fries ("French fries topped with minced roasted pork in special sauce"). They arrived pretty quickly after we ordered and they sure looked incredible. And my first bite told me they tasted every bit as good as they looked. This is one fantastic dish. The fresh fries are topped with an impressive amount of pork and that aforementioned special sauce, and holy moly everything works so well together. The copious amount of pork is what really kicks it up, as it's just so tender and flavorful. The sauce, of which I could've used more, admittedly, ties the whole dish together beautifully. We also decided to share their Roasted Pork lunch special and it's just as good (if not better!) The star is obviously the pork, which boasts an absolutely incredible crispy skin. Oh my god, it's nothing short of spectacular. The other components on the plate, including rice and a salad, are good too, but that pork is to die for. For those of you who have never been to the Philipines you wont know but Lechon is the national dish which is suckling pig slowly roasted over hot coals.... Have I got your attention yet? This is traditionally served with one of the many varieties of Pancit thin rice noodles. As it turns out, this is exactly what B's is all about.... Judging from the legions of take out drivers who arrived to pick up large take out orders while we were there this place is no secret among the Philipine community.... We ended up buying two lbs of Lechon, a Pancit dish and an order of wok fried mixed vegetables. This was just for my wife and I but when we got home we discoved we had bought enough for 4 hungry people! One taste was all it took... this instantly became our new favourite place.... We pigged out (literally) and had enough for lunch the next day! I'm not gonna pretend to know anything about Filipino food. In fact, I know next to nothing about this particular cuisine, so I'm probably not qualified to say anything, but I really liked our time here! The staff were very accommodating, and took time to explain what was what, and didn't mind how dumm I was lol. We ordered a lunch plate, the Cebu style lechon with salad and rice, a sizzling pork sisig, and some sour soup. I admit, I've only been to a couple of other Filipino places, and they're all I can compare to really. But at those other places (Casa Manila and Wilson's House of Lechon), I found the flavours a bit bland for my liking. Here, everything was well seasoned in my opinion. Especially with the lechon, where Wilson's lechon seemed kinda dry and flat tasting, and didn't come with enough skin, the lechon here was just right, and there was a good amount of crispy skin, too. You didn't even have to dip it in sauce. I wish I could say I knew which places are most "authentic" or whatever, all I can say is I really liked the food here. So much so that I didn't mind having the leftovers for dinner the same day hehe. Prices are in line with other Filipino places, so they're not Vietnamese cheap, but not too expensive either. Great experience - fantastic food and excellent service. The decoration is on point. The restroom and dining area is clean and organized. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We ordered pork sinigang, regular sisig which is their lechon sisig, ginataang sitaw & kalabasa, lechon (1lb) and bam-i (pansit bisaya). We had calamansi juice to drink and they served it in a mason jar which was cool. The pork sinigang needed fish sauce. The food presentation was done in a classic Filipino style with banana leaves. I've visited this place a couple of times and I've been pretty pleased each time. The food is quite delicious, service is friendly and prompt, it's very clean, and has a pretty extensive menu. While it's located in a part of town I don't frequent too often (Dixie and Derry), it's located not too far away from major highways (just south of the 401), so the drive isn't too bad. During one of my visits with my parents, we ordered the Filipino breakfasts (we got the tapsilog in particular, which was about $6.00), and the food came out very promptly. On other visits, we've also ordered the Lechon ($8.00) and some desserts like Buko Pandan and the Halo-Halo. The food is delicious, not too oily, and very flavourful. My only complaint would be that serving sizes are pretty small (the Lechon comes in a small basket), so I've knocked off one star. But other than, decent Filipino food at a reasonable price point. While the food isn't the best Filipino food I've ever had (that distinction goes solely to my mother!), it's still quite delicious and is a good option if you want to eat out for Filipino food, particularly in the west end. I was worried they were closed Sunday at 9am, especially after the big Pacquiao fight but they were open! We were the first ones there too. One thing I found kind of surprising was the super loud rnb mixtape over the sound system. It was a good mix but way too early for that. I almost felt bad for my parents. We ordered 4 breakfasts and all of them cost 5.99. I ordered lechon kawali with egg and rice with was off the menu I believe it was 7.99 instead. The breakfast was good. We were offered water and coffee and served promptly. Two additional things I took mental note of: 1. Really small servings of tocino. Compared to the rice ratio, it was like a parent took tocino and chopped it up for a kid's plate. 2. We had to ask for more coffee and ketchup. I first visited this place with my girlfriends last weekend and i enjoyed it. So i decided to go back and bring my family today. We loved the sisig! It's a lot better from other Filipino restaurants we tried. There are numbers of silog option, portion is perfect and price is ok too. We also tried broth pork, kare-kare oxtail, calamari. The halo-halo is excellent! The service is very good too. They are friendly and easy to talk too if you have request to them. Place is not high-end look but well kept and clean. Visited the new location near Hurontario & Dundas today. Had been craving for Filipino buffet since Quiapo-Quiapo closed, and while B's Sizzling is not a buffet restaurant, their Kamayan menu comes pretty close due to the huge portion & variety of dishes. I'm not fond of other people touching my food that's why I never join boodle fights, so I was ecstatic to find a Kamayan for 2 that I can just share with my husband listed on B's menu. Every single dish included was very tasty! My favourites are the chicken bbq that tasted like inasal, the lechon that comes with 3 different types of sauce, and the daing na bangus that even my husband enjoyed eating even though he usually doesn't like fish. The veggies were steamed just right, and the mango slices were the perfect complement to the dishes. Service was courteous and attentive without being intrusive. Interior was very clean and cozy. Let me start by saying that I am Filipino and grew up eating Filipino food. Lechon kawali is one of my favourite dishes but this one had too much fat. I would say it's probably about 80% fat. And a lot of it isn't that crispy skin that you know and love about Lechon Kawali. It was really disappointing and the fact that I didn't get any crispy skin is the reason why I couldn't even give it two stars. The bad: the food was very bad, my family thought the cuts of meat were of mostly fat (BBQ skewers, sizzling adobo), they were not impressed with the quality nor the flavor of the dishes. The really bad: I was craving for halo-halo and ordered two and a lech flan, the server said it would be a while I said I will wait. 25 mins later after being impatient and bored of playing pool (only one stick available) I asked her again and she said she would check. She went to the back and nothing else was told to me. My family also asked and they got the same answer. After over 35 mins since I first asked for the dessert I decided to just ask for my bill and cancel the long awaited who-knows what-happened-to dessert. I was extremely disappointed in not only the food but the lack of communication and honesty. If you cannot make the dessert please tell me that don't make me and my family wait for more than we should just to hunt you down and make us wait anymore. It put a bad taste in our mouths literally and figuratively. Next time we would all go to Max's Restaurant where quality, service, and confidence that menu items like dessert is available. Ate there for dinner with my girlfriend and had an amazing experience. Service was excellent; staff and management were friendly and polite. Food was nice and warm with short wait time. Been there a couple of times and I must say I'm impress. I had the beef ribs with garlic rice. The presentation is well prepared and appetizing. The meat was flavorful and so tender it comes right off the bone. I like the BBQ sauce as it complements the garlic rice so you could eat the ribs by itself or with rice. My gf had the cebu lechon and she also loved it. Sauce or no sauce the lechon was delicious especially the crispy skin. I also like the idea that you could play billiards/pool complementary while having your ice cold beer and sizzling sisig. Will definitely do that with my friends next time I come here.
