Pretty good homecooked style Filipino food offerings. Stopped by for dinner and got: - Bangus Sisig: Would have liked a bit more sizzle to get more crispiness. Not Portion size is definitely sharing. - Lechon Kawali: Some pieces were perfectly crispy, others were a bit too fatty or chewy. - Fried Chicken: Nice crispy skin, good juicy interior, would have liked a bit more kick to the taste. Got a couple of pieces even if this was just a side, so great value for money. - Broccolini: Standard taste, with the caramelized bagoong as the star ingredient. - Calamansi Pie: Good strong calamansi flavour. Like the theatrical tableside torching. - Tito Yan Yan: I like cinnamon-based cocktails, and this was a good one. Place is small so suggest making a reservation. Good patio seating which I can see being full during warmer weather. Prices are what prices are these days. Serving sizes vary. Service is super friendly. General vibe is chill. While I don't quite get the hype based on my personal tastes, I can see why many people love this place.

This Filipino diner brings a vibrant, fun energy with its colorful interior, creative menu, and cocktail bar--a fresh take on traditional comfort food. They serve breakfast, dinner, and drinks, and the atmosphere definitely sets the tone for a good time. I tried three dishes during my visit: 1. Pork Sinigang - the standout of the meal. The pork was perfectly crispy, and the broth had that ideal sour tang that makes sinigang so comforting. 2. Filipino Spaghetti and 3. Fried Chicken - these leaned more toward elevated Jollibee territory. They were good, but didn't feel especially unique or surprising. Where things fell short for me was the service. Despite having a reservation, we still had to wait to be seated, which was frustrating--especially since there's very limited space to wait inside. For a spot that takes reservations, I expected a smoother welcome.

finally got to try BB's after hearing and seeing so much about it and overall yeah it's for sure lived up to the hype. we ordered the sisig, filipino spaghetti, and lechon. the spaghetti was exactly what i expected. the lechon was super crispy, the sisig was the standout for me: savory and rich with a perfect balance of textures and flavors. the cocktails were well balanced and fun without being too sweet. our server was very sweet and attentive, which added so much to the experience. we sat outside, the music was great, the vibe overall was laid back but it was such an experience. would absolutely come back here, there's more on the menu i'd love to try. highly recommend.

We had an amazing meal at BB's! We ordered the Lechon, Fried Chicken (comes in 3 pieces we added one extra for our group of 4), Broccolini, Pancit Canton, JB's Spaghetti, and the chef's new dessert creation: a Basque cheesecake inspired by mango peach pie. Every dish was excellent, great balanced and play with sweet, salty, spicy, acid, and umami. The Lechon was a standout with crispy, shattering skin (not hard!) and tender meat and fat. The fried chicken was juicy and flavourful, and both noodle dishes felt warm and homey. Chef even came by to introduce the dessert, which was rich, tropical, and a perfect end to the meal. They were out of the ribs this time but we'll definitely be back to try them!

Nothing makes me prouder than trying elevated Filipino food that lives up to the hype. If you love tender and moist lechon and crispy chicharron, don't sleep on the lechon kawali. Ahi tuna kinilaw Ube chips Lechon kawali Ube bae Pandan Express Calamansi pie Mango float semifreddo

More and more Filipino restaurants are acknowledged by Michelin in the recent years, Kasama in Chicago for a star, BB's in Toronto for Bib Gourmand. While Kasama didn't give me the right vibes on some of the classic dishes, I felt wary yet excited to try out BB's. BB's pretty much serve whole day brunch, got a few options for the silogs, fried chicken, 2 vegetarian dishes, a spaghetti, and a sinigang. The menu looks a bit small, they went for the safe and standard items. While sinigang is my favorite Filipino dish, I've opted for a silog, let alone their chicksilog. You can't say no to garlic rice. Maybe you can, I can't. The plate came with 2 pieces of fried chicken, served with a tart hot sauce. That was the best fried chicken I've ever eaten. While Jollibee is great, they're nothing compared to BB's. As they shouldn't, it'd be sad if a fast food spot tastes better than a Bib Gourmand. The skin was crispy, not oily, but not dry. The meat was tender, very moist, it's almost like they pumped air in between to separate it from the skin. If you do go, just order their fried chicken, there are 3 pieces of it, you don't need to waste your calories on their garlic rice. It wasn't good. It was cold and lumpy, while it had a good amount of garlic, any place in Daly City can do it better.

Good to try. Their menu is small which makes ordering easy. But I felt like it was a bit expensive. I'd still go back, but not a place I could go often for brunch. We ordered a few items to try: - spaghetti: as with Filipino pasta it is pretty basic with some sweetness to it. Perfect sizing and sweetness. - fried chicken: bomb, so crispy, flavourful and piping hot. I thought the value was worth it considering the quality! Would order this again. - french toast: so lovely! Loved the combination of tropical flavours. The service is fantastic and such a vibe, BOH and FOH. The atmosphere is super cute and very instgrammable.

BB's was most definitely the discovery of the summer for me. My friend and I decided to go after a workout at about 1 p.m. on a Saturday. The place was quite packed, but there was this little 2 seater left on the far side of the patio that put us perfectly in the sun. We decided to order 5 dishes to share and excitedly waited for the food to come. We had high expectations as the small menu hinted that each of the items was carefully curated and deserved its place there. The food quickly came and let me tell you, EVERY SINGLE DISH was a HIT. The flavors were clean and fresh yet quite complex. Each item brought something different to the table (pun intended) and built on each other. The bright savouriness, tanginess, and sweetness of Filipino food were such a joy to enjoy on one of the last warm afternoons of the year, and the experience was perfectly rounded out by the friendliness and good vibes of the staff. It cost us 120$ for 5 dishes and 2 juices, a very reasonable price for such a good time. Cannot wait to go back and try out their dinner menu.

Great service, delightful patio, tasty but sadly small plate of food. The "hash browns" amounted to a scarce few toasted potato shreds sprinkled on top of the omelet. Disappointing - especially for the price

BB's is honestly so good, and I really do think it deserved its Michelin Bib Gourmand. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the drinks were really good too (not pictured, but the G&T was good!). I love filipino spaghetti because of the sweetness, and they really nailed it. The portions might look a little small at first, but they were made for sharing. They have a patio and an inside area.

I haven't had much Filipino food in the city but BB's was such a cute spot with unique brunch options. We ordered a bunch of items and shared them family style. Ginataan was my favourite dish that stood out the most. I am not a fan of eggplant but the tortang talong was tolerable. The garlic rice in the BB's silog was dry and crunchy - not the texture I was expecting. The tamarind in the pork sinigang was stronger than what I'm use to. Adobo fried chicken was good with the habanero pineapple sauce. Everything in the Marivic's toast complimented each other well as a dessert to end off the visit. It was hard to get someone's attention so we were waiting around a bit to order and for some other items. Loved the music they were playing.

So nice to see the old Grand Electric building in use again and with a make over. I really liked their small but yummy menu. We have the friend chicken and the classic breakfast with the homemade sausage. They were both really good. Such nice flavours. The chicken was so crisp and I loved the sauce. They were really slammed so service was a little slow but they were running around non stop and doing everything they could. Our server was really sweet and friendly and made great recommendations Looking forward to going back for dinner.

BB's, located on Brock near Queen St W. in Parkdale, serves up Filipino eats in a hip and chill atmosphere. They have brunch from Fri to Sun as well as dinner service from Thurs to Sun. I had heard about BB's when they were at their old location and was excited to try them out. Having my fair share of Filipino food, I stopped by BB's on a Friday for brunch. Service was friendly and attentive. They have the traditional Filipino breakfast (you can even get it with bangus (milk fish)!) or you can even get dishes like sinigang or ginataan. I opted to get the BB's Silog (with housemade longanisa) as well as wanted to try the Filipino spaghetti (knowing that I would have leftovers to bring home). Also had a glass of calamansi juice. The longanisa tasted great - vinegar is definitely much needed to cut the richness of it. The garlic rice was great as well, the rice was not mushy and there were parts where it was crunchier, giving texture to the dish. Eggs were made well. The spaghetti was also a big portion. I wished it was slightly sweeter but the pasta was cooked al dente and the ragu it came was delicious. Overall, chill vibes, great service, and decent food. However, it is pricey ($20 for a BB's Silog).

Impeccable. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive without being overbearing. I felt welcomed from the second I walked through the door. I ordered the Avocado Salmon Toast paired with the beautifully pink and perfectly named Pink Flamingo drink. My friend went for the Sweet Berry Waffle and a classic lemonade. Let me just say--the flavors did not disappoint. The salmon was fresh, creamy avocado was piled high, and the toppings were thoughtfully layered. My only tiny critique (and I say this with love): the toast itself was a little too crispy for my liking. It made the dish a bit tricky to cut into, and the texture leaned dry. Next time, I'll definitely ask for it untoasted or lightly toasted. A softer base would really let those flavors shine without the crunch competing. Now let's talk about that Pink Flamingo--WOW. It was tropical, sweet, and honestly gave me vacation-in-a-glass vibes. I almost ordered a second, but adulting (and budgeting) called me back to reality. That said, it's worth every sip! I snuck a few bites from my friend's Sweet Berry waffles, and yep--I'm getting that next time!! Light, fruity, tasty!! I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. Who knows, maybe next time I'll get to sample a few more dishes Seriously though--support local and give this place a try. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

I found myself wanting to try most of the cocktails, which is a rarity. We got the Strawberry Tetsu to start (inspired by Uncle Tetsu's Japanese cheesecake), along with the Cloudy Oolong (tea-based cocktail with a salted caramel cheese foam). The Strawberry Tetsu tasted like a dessert and was delicious, with a graham cracker crumble rim. The Cloudy Oolong had a strong tea taste which I loved, as sometimes the tea can get lost in a cocktail. The foam on top was addicting and paired nicely with it, similar to a bubble tea. Next, I had the Burnt Yuzu which was light and refreshing from the citrus. The bar is hidden behind Misfit Ice Cream, with a speakeasy vibe to the interior. Large windows line one wall with a view to the exterior, but are tinted enough that people walking by cannot see in. The transition from the street to the interior feels deliberate, and the low-key energy of the room encourages lingering. The cocktail menu leans heavily into Asian-inspired flavors, and that is what makes it stand out. Every drink feels thoughtfully developed rather than relying on presentation alone. We tried the Cloudy Oolong, which was especially memorable with its rich tea flavor and creamy cheese foam that added a savory depth to the cocktail. The Strawberry Tetsu offered a dessert-like profile without becoming overly sweet, balancing fruit and tea notes in a way that felt refined and well composed. Each cocktail arrived beautifully presented and balanced, making it easy to appreciate the amount of care that goes into every glass. The menu is creative without being gimmicky, and the flavors are well integrated, with each drink offering something distinct.
