I asked a few other people about this grooming job who are groomers and they all agreed that this wasn't okay. And said the same thing I said if they weren't sure they should've called me. When I dropped off cuddles the lady asked me "same as last time" I said absolutely" I was surprised they remembered. Well upon my return I noticed they just cut all her hair off around her face (you can see the first photo is what they gave me last time, in the other photographs that was from Sunday) the lady who gave her back to me said well I just went off the card and it said round face I didn't groom her the first time ... even if you look at the second photo she didn't give her round face. When brought to this businesses attention you can read the correspondence which is absolutely the worst customer service I've ever received. The dog wasn't groomed right, she wasn't bathed and my husband pointed out they didn't even cut her nails. Now before anyone can say matter hair or hair loss cuddles is a Pomeranian mix and her fur is exactly that of that breed, full and fluffy. She has not suffered from any type of hair loss to warrant this type of grooming. They are refusing a refund but want me to bring her back again for free. Which to me is a horrible business practice. Messing up on a service but not even partially refunding me but want me to bring my dog back for a free session doesn't even make any sense. I am not happy and I am disputing the charge because it was a horrible job and horrible customer service after the fact!

But I am very particular about my pets and who I trust them with, so the fact that I trust them with the staff here says a lot. I have short haired dogs that don't need much other than nail trims, but I appreciate that I can just stop by with them anytime and the staff knows them, and knows exactly how I like their nails to be done (clipped and Dremeled). I also have a pretty nervous breed and their regular groomer here has earned their complete trust and affection. We are in and out in 10 minutes for nails. Even more, until recently I was taking a very elderly dog I took in from a family member here for full grooming. She was blind and had dementia and needed someone to take a lot of care with her while she was at the groomer. Pampered Pet always did a very good job with her and I appreciated knowing that they were patient with her needs and didn't overwhelm her given her condition. She never came home appearing stressed which was a small miracle as she got toward the end of her life and I would take her with the primary goal of keeping her clean and hygienic. They do a good job here and genuinely care about the animals. I appreciate having them nearby.

I gave them a call, and they said I could walk in any time for a nail trim, so I took him almost immediately after I called! Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions, I could not go inside, but the owner (I believe) helped me out so much from outside. It was very quick and painless, and Spencer came out looking like a new man. As I got my wallet out to pay, the owner kindly said this first one would be on him (a nail trim is normally $15). I will absolutely be back here the next time Spencer needs a nail trim or any other grooming need solely because the owner was so kind to me. They've been in business for 19 years, so they know how to take care of their customers and pets! Definitely consider this place for your pets' grooming needs.

During my call to schedule an appointment, I spoke to Mike, the owner. I couldn't differentiate between a puppy cut Vs regular cut or how I would like the hair on his face cut( umm..short) to if I wanted his teeth brushed( huh? Sure!) During our visit Mike proved to me extremely knowledgable, friendly & reassuring. He guided me through what might work best for my pup without being overtly aggressive. Sometimes, it is great to have someone help navigate thru unchartered territories. My pooch even got a complimentary nail trim while there. On the day of his grooming,post session,I came in to find a perfectly trimmed little pup who was too busy playing with the other dogs in the salon to even notice I hadn't been there all this time! I literally couldn't find anything negative about them and now I see why! Jessica was so professional, organized and kind. I told her that we would be celebrating our toy poodles 2nd Birthday and she was able to schedule us for the day before her party. We were concerned with how she would handle grooming again. Prior to her appointment I received appointment confirmations via text and email. Jessica arrived on time, was gentle and friendly. She spent time allowing Chloe to get acquainted and made me feel really comfortable as well. Chloe was so excited to meet her. I was asked questions regarding my grooming preferences and struggled to communicate them to her. I anxiously awaited and peeked out the window occasionally. I frantically worried that I didn't explain something properly and Chloe would look a mess for her party. I was shocked when Chloe and Jessica rang the doorbell only after an hour. Chloe pranced into the house and looked PERFECT! More importantly, she didn't show a single sign of stress. Jessica set her down and she ran off to get a toy and brought it back like nothing ever happened. I absolutely could not have been any more satisfied with the entire experience. I am the proud owner of what may very well be the worst cat ever…read more She excels at two things, 1) being up in my face/lap, and 2) shedding. It got to the point that sitting next to her was like being inside a snow globe...full of cat hair. WHITE CAT HAIR. The kind that gets everywhere and is hidden against nothing. How my cat can shed so much and still be covered in long white fur, I do not know. She sheds so much that if my Dyson vacuum used a pillow, it would weep tears into it every night bc nothing can keep up with that much fur. My life was going places--going places covered in cat hair. Then, I found the Pet Stop, and all that changed. Now I look better (I actually do, I'm only mostly covered in cat hair now), I feel better (also true. Ever get cat hair under a contact lens?) and my friends say I'm much more fun to hang out with (also true, since I am no longer late to everything on account of my having to lint roll everything) The Pet Stop is in Castle Shannon on Rte 88. I called and asked if they would be able to groom the worst cat ever who is really sweet but a pain in the ass. Without missing a beat, the woman laughed and said yes, they could handle my cat. Did I mention my sweet ball of fur turns into a sabre tooth tiger at the sight of a cat brush? Yeah, thats the third thing she excels at. I brought her in, and the groomer was very very very nice with her and took time to ask me what I wanted done with her. Me: "I dont know, shave her ass! Just fix the fur, I do not care!" Instead, she laughed and told me she was going to bathe my cat and brush her out. I wanted to ask her what her drink of choice was bc I was pretty sure the groomer was going to need a drink--and possibly a blood transfusion--after bathing my cat. I wished her luck and went home to lint roll my clothes and do some vacuuming. They called me a few hours later and told me that 1) my cat was clean and ready, and 2) she was well behaved. I immediately asked if they had to tranquilize the cat and they said "No, we never do that...." So then I was pretty sure they weren't talking about my cat. I swear my cat was 3 shades whiter and 25% thinner when they returned her. She looked fantastic! She also looked miserable as hell but this was to be expected bc she'd just loved her nightmare and also who cares--she looked FANTASTIC. Here is the best part: The last time I had my cat groomed, it was $75 plus I had to pay a "Cat Behavior Fee." She was so bad I had to pay extra. IT WAS $35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't go around kissing people you don't know, but I wanted to kiss the groomer, I was so excited! I cannot more highly recommend this place! They do GREAT WORK, are friendly, and affordable! She is also very timid and a little backwards. It does not help that as soon as I lift her she wiggles and splays her legs. I booked an appointment for her. This is a really good deal. I paid $50 for a bath, ear clean and nail trim. The nail trim is normally $21. They were great about reminders and letting me know how things were progressing and when she would be ready. My dog smelled incredible was not freaked out and 4 days later is still the best smelling thing in the house.
