I've been going here for about four months now and I love it. This is a real boxing gym. They have…read morebeginner and advanced classes and they have boot camp classes as well. I did a few months at Prime Time Boxing last year, but Boxing Academy is so much better if you are looking to learn technique. Boxing classes vary greatly and you may spend the entire session working on technique and footwork and the next session could be all conditioning and bag work. Coach Abe is great and has a positive and motivating personality. Sometimes the class sizes can be quite large and sometimes it may just be you and the coach. Regardless of the size, I've always gotten personal instruction in every class. They have a lot of equipment on site (like gloves, jump ropes, mitts, etc.), so if you are interested in trying it out, don't worry about investing in gloves right away. You should bring your own hand wraps, though, which run about $10 a pair. They also have open gym sessions, so if you are a member, you can come and work out on your own. They have weights and racks, as well as a ton of heavy bags, double end bags and speed bags. The place can be a bit hard to find, it's on Galilee and the drive way is right where the road starts to turn towards Industrial. Drive past a large iron-wrought gate and the gym is right there on the right as you go through the gate. (The parking lot lights can sometimes be off at night.) I would highly recommend Boxing Academy for anyone looking to learn how to box or just looking for a fun and challenging place to workout! I also recommend following their Facebook page as they tend to keep that the most updated with schedules, events and gym times.

I've already noticed improvements in my strength, stamina, and confidence. The energy in the gym is welcoming, not egotistical, which is rare. If you've been thinking about trying boxing but feel nervous, this is absolutely the place to start.

As an aging woman with ZERO boxing experience the coaches are helpful, encouraging and motivating. All the coaches help elevate the experience farther than five stars! If you're looking for an all body workout, this is it! I was surprised at how much I love going…read morehere. I'm not athletic and exercising doesn't stick much. To be honest, boxing is also intimidating... but I was in for a pleasant surprise. I feel welcome here and if you go enough, it starts to feel like a little family. I also notice minor changes to my body and it's only been about 2-3 weeks (I've been going 4-5x/wk). More details below if interested. Scheduling: Super easy via app. There's also a waitlist in case classes are full. But there are a variety of class options which make it easy to fit in your day. Classes are also 45 mins during the weekdays so it doesn't cut too much time into your work week. Classes: If you're looking for something calm, this is not for you. It's loud, it's energetic, type of exercises vary each day (keeps you on your toes and your body challenged). However, you can start at whatever level you feel comfortable (no need to be a pro!). Classes start with warm-up, intro to types of punches you'll work on throughout the class, then the actual workout (you rotate through stations), closing with core exercises then cool down. Equipment: There's a variety of different bags that you get to rotate through. It's also not just about boxing. There are fitness stations to build up your strength and endurance. Depending on the class routine, you may use ropes, medicine balls, dumbbells, steps, treadmill or row. You will need wraps (either traditional ones or modern) and gloves. Technology: There are TV monitors to show you the punch combinations for each round and exercises for the fitness station. You also can get a heart rate monitor to keep track of your progress. If you're competitive, there's a leaderboard to keep you going. There's also an application to monitor your progress and a lot of fun features. Ambiance: Once it's go time, it's low lighting and loud music. For me I love this because it's like an escape from the world and it's just you and the bag/station. Also it's makes it less intimidating. Staff: They are amazing and know what they're doing. This was important because in other fitness clubs/centers I'll notice that trainers aren't helping you with your technique (not to be a pro but at least to make sure you're not hurting yourself) and they look fit. This might sound judgmental but I feel this is reflective so I know I'm getting a good workout from people who know what they're talking about. Also, I have no idea how they do this but they bring in the energy every time. I love that they love what they do. The thing I appreciate the most is that they meet you where you're at (level of fitness). They provide a good balance of pushing you but making you feel comfortable. They also walk around and check on folks to make sure all is good. Cost: Okay, okay this does matter and I was surprised at the cost (over $150 or so, but this will vary depending on package). Here's the thing though, if you go at least 3-4 days a week, it's actually reasonable. So I'd encourage folks to not be too intimidated at the costs. Overall, this place is a gem!

To start off I must say this is my first time doing this sport and so far, it has been amazing challenges and work all together. The coaches are very knowledgeable when conducting the boxing classes and most definitely kick our butt every single time. They really hone in on the fundamentals and teach you how to improve gradually as you attend more classes. The workouts definitely get your heart rate jumping from start to finish but only 45 minutes which is perfect! They also offer a variety of class times which is great for anyone with a different schedule. All in all, from the coaches, to front desk and ownership they truly care about your wellbeing inside and out of the gym which is a beautiful thing. Being a former college athlete and seeing this type of inclusivity has given me such reminders of what I miss from a collegiate level. Regardless of where you start, your age, or current fitness level everyone including the members are very helpful and kind. You will not regret signing up for this gym!

The classes are well organized, and the workouts are a great combination of circuit-style bodybuilding and learning the fundamentals of boxing. Every member of the gym, no matter their age or experience level, has been fun to train with--it's truly a great community. The coaches are excellent and do a great job keeping you motivated, even when you're working your hardest. I've personally been coached a lot by Coach David since my work schedule lines up with the classes he teaches. My advice to anyone reading this: don't be nervous about trying boxing. I understand it can feel intimidating at first, but the environment and atmosphere here are very welcoming and a whole lot of fun. It's been 16 classes at Rumble Boxing, so I feel like I can finally give a real review…read more I'll start by saying I had a little boxing experience before coming in, and I absolutely love the boxing part of the workout. Hitting the bag, working through the combos, and really getting into it has been my favorite part. At first, I wasn't sure how I'd like it overall. But the more I went, the more I started looking forward to the next class. It's hard to explain, but there's something about finishing a workout there that just feels really good. You walk out sweaty, accomplished, and proud of yourself. The classes are 45 minutes, sometimes up to an hour depending on the format, and they move fast. You sign up through the app, which makes it super easy and convenient. The trainers are really friendly and make you feel comfortable right away. At the beginning of class, they teach the punches one through six, so you're never just guessing. It's definitely high intensity, but don't let that scare you. You truly go at your own pace. Whether you're brand new or have some experience, it works. What I appreciated most as someone newer to the format is how they walk you through everything. They show you how to wrap your hands, where to stand, which side of the bag to use, and how the rotations work. If it's your first time, don't stress. They'll show you everything. The music is also a whole vibe. When the lights go down, it feels like a rave. You're locked in, focused on yourself, not worrying about anyone else. It's such a great environment. You get a clean towel and locker access, which is a nice bonus. Everything feels organized and professional. All the trainers are encouraging and high energy. The owner, Stacy, is great. I've worked with Stacy, Carson, and Fallon, and they're all amazing in their own way. Overall, it's been such a great experience and I genuinely can't wait for my next class.

As my time in California comes to an end I will miss the great place! I can tell you when I come back to visit I will definitely make a trip here and drop in for a class!! So if you are wondering about this place give it a try !! They won't let you down !! You will be their friend after a while!!
