Great cocktails and delicious food! The pina colada is served in a pineapple and it's really tasty!

First visit to Secret Thai in Freeport and we were immediately impressed by how festive and cozy…read morethe holiday décor was -- it created such a warm atmosphere. We ordered the Thai Iced Tea, Thai Iced Cranberry Tea, the Morakot, and a virgin Lychee Margarita, all refreshing and well-made. The Secret Thai Wings were crispy and flavorful, the Roti Canai with Massaman curry was delicious, and the Tom Yum Soup came in a generous portion with bold flavor. The Garlic Pepper Calamari was tender and perfectly fried, and the Crispy Tilapia Pad Thai ended up being our favorite dish. Great food, great service, and beautifully decorated for the holidays. Definitely worth a visit.

It is cute enough for lunch or a low key dinner and the staff was attentive and checked on us throughout the meal. They do have happy hour until 4 on Saturdays with $3 off cocktails which is a nice perk. I had the margaritas and they were actually really good and made strong so I will give them that. For food I ordered the whole fried snapper with basil. The fish itself was fresh and fried really well. Texture was great and it was cooked properly. The basil sauce just did not have much flavor for me which was disappointing. The fish deserved a better sauce. We also had the chicken pad see ew. The noodles were soft and cooked nicely but the dish was much sweeter than I am used to for Thai food and very heavy on sodium. It was a little overpowering. Overall the drinks and service were the highlights for me. The food was just not memorable and for Thai I expect more depth of flavor.

I was surprised they didn't have chive cakes on the menu. That's always my favorite thing to order for an appetizer and most Thai places. We ordered a mango salad. I asked for them to do it mild, but it was still too spicy for us. We got shrimp pad Thai, which was really yummy. We actually love that. We also ordered the cod in a coconut sauce. That was very delicious. The cod was a very small portion. We also got an order of Massaman beef. that was very good too. If I'm ever in this area again, I would definitely eat here.

I picked Thai Chic Bistro to meet a couple of friends for lunch based on recommendations my cousin…read moreshared with me. I thought it wonderful as did my friends. If I lived in the area I'd be there a couple of times a month. My friends live some towns over but both said they'd return for sure. The hostess/waitress was very nice, easy to speak with, fully attentive, not obtrusive, and fully knowledgeable about the menu. Two of us had noodles, one had curry. I ordered Pad Thai asking for it to be somewhat spicy and spice was added perfectly for my taste. The curry with mock duck was very spicy. (We all enjoyed it though.) I think the spice was infused in the mock duck. Some folks may want to ask that to be mild. For desert we had the coconut ice cream and all loved it. I asked about it and learned the chef makes it. It's not often I ask to pass my compliments to the chef; this was one time I did with emphasis! We were having an early lunch. I think we were quite lucky to sit so quickly.
