But I believe that my experience can benefit other potential consumers by saving precious time and money and NOT working with JB Mortgage Group or Celebrity Home Loans LLC of which it is a subsidiary. My experience with JB Mortgage Group was traumatic. Nobody at JB Mortgage Group, including branch manager Justin Boyd, Callie Gaylord, and the Mortgage originator Dan Peterson, was communicative during my loan process. We almost lost the contract because of the lack of professionalism of these people. They missed nearly all milestones, and we had to ask the sellers to extend our contract twice. We have mistakes and typos in our Closing Documents. We ended up getting a far worse rate than promised because they could not lock the rate in time (3 times they tried and failed to lock the rate, and lied about it). If you don't want to lose your contract and your money, DO NOT work with these people. JBMG responded to my review saying they were not involved in my loan processing...I'm attaching screenshots of emails from Justin Boyd and Callie Gaylord. Every email with updates on my loan application status came from them. How is that for not being involved? As for compensation for deleting my reviews. Please take a look at the attached screenshots as well. Quote: "Justin and I understand why you're upset, and we sincerely apologize for everything. You deserved a better experience, and we're frustrated with ourselves that you didn't receive our best. That being said, it hurts Justin and I tremendously to have 1 star Google reviews listed. We want to assure you that you are heard. We want to know if there's a way to correct this. The $625 appraisal refund check is something I worked to provide as a gesture of good faith." UPD: I removed screenshots out of privacy concerns, otherwise the review could be taken down. JBMG took it down from Google, and my suspicion is that it was because of the screenshots. But rest assured, JBMG and Dan Peterson are to be held accountable.

I've bought and sold a couple of homes now, and this was the smoothest mortgage transaction of them all. Considering how complicated my life was when making this purchase, it speaks well to Mark's expertise and the support he provides to his clients.

No It was during one of my initial conversations with Mark that I expressed how important it was to me that my loan was serviced with a reputable provider and that I worried about it getting sold and causing me issues down the line.  I had done my previous mortgage loan through Wells Fargo and since it was a large bank they managed my mortgage loan and it was really smooth. Unfortunately, I had heard horror stories from friends and coworkers who didn't go through large banks and had their loans sold only to experience issues down the line. Mark assured me that mortgage loans almost always were sold and that it wouldn't cause issues for me. He was 100% wrong. My loan was sold shortly after we purchased the home and Mark or someone from his team wrote down our address incorrectly on the paper work. This caused our mortage paperwork to be mailed to our neighbor. I almost missed my first mortgage payment because the information on how to pay was only included in the mail that had been incorrectly sent to my neighbor. I had to spend several hours on hold to track down what had happened to my paperwork and retrieve my account number. I thought I had it all corrected and now yearly a year later I had to spend 10 hours on the phone with the mortgage provider becuase they incorrectly dispersed my property taxes to the wrong account because of that initial paperwork that was incorrectly filled out during the loan transfer. We made it clear with Mark, we did NOT want to deal with our loan being sold to a horrible loan service provider. Lo and behold, it was, and it's caused us a lot of pain. With so many lending people to work with, I would not recommend Mark. Find someone else.

Salman was our property manager at a home we rented in The Village at Wells Branch…read more Over our 1.5-year lease, we dealt with multiple issues, including recurring AC breakdowns and pest infestations. While any home can have problems, what mattered most to us was timely communication and concern--especially during Texas heat waves. Unfortunately, Salman often ignored or delayed responses, and we had to follow up multiple times to get even temporary fixes. When we moved out, he deducted $280 for house cleaning, in addition to $314 for carpet cleaning. When we asked for specifics, he sent pictures showing just a couple strands of hair and minor dust--plus a toilet that had collected grime between our move-out and his walkthrough. The charges felt excessive and out of step with how we left the home. The AC issue remained unresolved through our entire lease, with only temporary patches ever done. I would not recommend renting this home or any property managed by Salman.
