Grouper sandwich $17 with coleslaw
Pat C.

Bubba's is a cute little place with friendly service and fresh seafood and burgers. It was too hot to sit outside today but their patio looks real nice. The seafood is freshly made. I started with a Georgia beer made in Valdosta. It was a refreshing amber ale. It was really delicious. Next I had the crab cakes as a starter. They were big and generous with a nice sauce. The crab tasted very good and perhaps there was too much bread but overall extremely good. My entree was the grouper sandwich. The filet was large, nicely blackened, very fresh and delicious. It was fabulous! A-plus on this sandwich. I would definitely return for lunch or dinner again. It's quite popular. By 5pm the dinner crowd was here.

Catfish lunch, cheese grits, and super sweet onion rings

Great attentive service! Tracy R was awesome! Our drinks were never empty. The food was out and on the table lightning fast. Crawfish and oysters were huge! Prices are very reasonable!

Fried oysters and shrimp with onion rings and and corn on the cobb

I wish I could give them 6 stars. The food is amazing, but the warmth of the staff, their desire to make sure everyone has a great experience is way beyond anything I've ever experienced. We live in ATL and stop in for a visit every time we travel to FL. Oh, did I mention that the food is always hot and fresh! Yummy!!!

Blackened Shrimp - the rest of the fried green tomatoes and the delicious Blue cheese - must have! SEEEE that shrimp is huge !!!

Ok ..::so sorry my pic was the leftover shrimp for my Nugget ...haven't been there in a while about 1 year maybe ..:Im a chef and my GO-TO food is the FRIED GREEN TOMATOES....this time I found the PERFECT topping ...6 HUGE juicy perfectly cooked Blackened Shrimp!!! Had to ask for more BLUE CHEESE ...exquisite, well-plated, Perfect server - she (came back) topped my Arnold Palmer off after refilling it with Sweet tea-nice touch to add a bit of lemonade - don't remember her name ...but nice Tatts on arms, smooth style, thoughtful service -thx again ... I was a so stuffed.. Needed that !!!! (That's a small styrofoam togobox!)

Wine slushy

Visiting from New Jersey, my husband and I are on a road trip up the East Coast from Florida, and we decided to stop at Bubba Jax after seeing all the great Yelp reviews--it definitely lived up to the hype! I ordered the fried green tomatoes and gator tails, and omg--wow! Both were absolutely amazing. The remoulade sauce was spicy and delicious, the perfect complement. I also got a peach wine slushy mixed with one other flavor (full disclosure: I forgot the name), but it was incredible too! Super easy stop off the highway with prompt, friendly, and fast service. Highly recommend!

Great lunch spot!

Fun and easy to enjoy! Seat yourself and order sime fresh seafood. Everything we tried was tasty, from Crabcakes & Fried Shrimp to the Boiled Red Potatoes. The sweet tea is really good, too! Seat yourself and enjoy the quick service. Loved it!

Love the rocking chairs on the front porch.

This was the biggest surprise! Just a little house with a big front porch and a bunch of rocking chairs on it. Inside you'll find the cutest little place with a lot of TVs to watch your sports programs. The staff is so friendly and the food comes out really quick. The low country boil melts in your mouth. I love this little place.

The fried coating was lacking any flavor. Tasted like raw flour. The staff was pleasant. We did take out do no ratings for ambience.

I get my burger to go which I ordered plain. 10 minutes down the road (I'm just passing through on long trip) and I take my first bite and there is a strong mustard flavor. I take off the bun and it's evident they had put ketchup and mustard on it then realized their mistake. Instead of making a fresh one they must have just scraped what they could off of it. Of course I can still see the mustard in the patty and bacon and it essentially ruined the burger for me as I hate mustard. Too far to go back so just a waste of $17 plus $2 tip that I added at register. Zero stars if I could leave it

Hiring Oompa Loompas might be better. 2 burgers, small fry, 2 drinks, cost 35 bucks, almost equivalent to having a steak dinner. Nothing special, it's a burger joint. Restaurant needed to be cleaned, but alas no Oompa Loompas to accomplish that here. Bun was soggy, fries were lukewarm. Yum...not. Plenty of choices around, the owner/franchisee should consider spending time here, especially in the evenings, he might actually make more money if the crew performed their jobs better and quicker.

From my first phone call with Mia to the moment we walked out the door, the service was exceptional. Managing a large group of hungry, hot, and thirsty athletes and parents isn't easy, but Mia handled it effortlessly. She stayed on top of everything with a smile and made sure no one was waiting for food, drinks, or anything else. She truly made our experience memorable. The food was just as impressive! I ordered the pork nachos, and they were incredible. My husband loved the ribs and mac & cheese. Around the table, the wings and grits were also huge favorites--but honestly, everyone raved about their meals. Not a single complaint from anyone in our group! The restaurant itself was spacious without being overly loud, making it easy for our large group to enjoy our meal together. Even the restrooms were spotless, and the sparkly countertops were such a fun touch. If you're traveling with a large group, definitely call ahead--and if you can, ask for Mia. She went above and beyond, and I can confidently say you won't be disappointed. We can't wait to come back!

The lady at the order window was very nice and I agreed to wait. Drove around to the pay window and the young man there again explained the wait, during his explanation a lady, I guess a manager, wedged him out of the way and harshly told me that I needed to pay her and move my truck to Pump 6 and wait for my food there. During the next 15-20 minutes 30-40 cars got their food and drove off. Since it was breakfast time of day and most of your menu is biscuit related I can not understand how every one of those customers were served while I waited. Not a one of them were asked to wait. Let me start with the good: this place looks like it knows what it's doing. The ambiance is simple,…read moretasteful, and well-designed--perfect for a cute dinner out. We were greeted with a smile the second we walked in, and our server was friendly and attentive the whole time. A+ for vibes and service. Now, the food... oof. We started with the appetizer special of the night, which, shockingly, was the best thing we had--and it was aggressively mid. Everything that followed? Two thumbs down. The peas I ordered as a side; I swear were marinated in red onion slivers for several decades. Even after picking out all the visible onion, (as shown in pictures) it still tasted like Shrek's bathwater. If I had ordered this on a first date, I would've just gone home to save us both the trauma of onion breath. There's no way a single person has ever eaten this dish and said, "Wow, that was delightful." I'd actually pay money to see the facial expressions of anyone taking a bite. My partner's mashed potatoes? So dry and dense I could've thrown them at a wall and they'd stick. Come back the next morning and they'd be holding up drywall. Not a single drop of moisture in sight. I asked for crushed red pepper for my flatbread (thinking maybe it could be saved). No - No pepper flakes. Apparently none of their flatbreads are allowed joy or spice. Even if they did have red pepper, I don't think it would've saved it. Best thing we had all night? My partner's chicken. And even that was dry. So, that says a lot. Final verdict: come here for a drink and a snack before going somewhere else for the actual meal. It's a great pregame spot, but if you're hungry-hungry, keep walking.
