Fish Hut gave me that southern soul cooking a grew up with, and you can't hardly beat the price. We got it as a group for lunch today, and I tried the chicken fried streak. It's a meat-and-3 kind of place, with a side of bread (Mexican corn bread was good!) and a drink for $12, flat. Honestly, I have to say everything was seasoned well, and I have no complaints. Could I be some pretentious snob regarding it, maybe, but it's a $12 lunch in a patrician take-away that makes me smile about my childhood...why would I ruin that?! That said, I want to try other things on their menu and see if I can find one that hits the spot even better. If you're asking my opinion, Fish Hut deserves a checking out!

The potatoes, gravy, coleslaw and biscuit were all very fresh and had a good flavor. The lady that waited on me suggested the after 4pm special. I think the meal cost $6:49 + tax. In today's times with everything costing so much I was shocked at the price. All of the wait staff was friendly and appeared to be doing their jobs efficiently. The restaurant was clean from the tables to the floors. I don't remember seeing any clutter as another reviewer had stated. I'm guessing maybe the restaurant is under new management and they are doing a good job. I will definitely be back in the future. Keep up the good work folks!!
