Every time I come to Bubbas the customer service is good. Not excellent but good. Now the reason why K go is because the food never misses. This was my first time trying their loaded fries and they're good bcs they add a queso sauce not just shredded cheese over them. It was flavorful and savory. You can't go wrong with Bubba's, a subsidiary of Texas Road House, a bit more casual and less expensive. Honestly their food is consistent and delicious. I think they have one of the best burgers around. And, a unique steak (better than TRH), the most tender ribeye with a unique coffee glaze, that I've never seen before. This was our first time eating at Bubbas 33. We absolutely love this restaurant. The food was brought to our table very timely, hot and fresh. The atmosphere and waitstaff were all awesome. They took the time to explain the menu and noted that many items are made from scratch. I highly recommend the Fish and Chips. I substituted a side salad for the Cole slaw. Pleasantly surprised by this place! We tried a Hawaiian pizza and a black bean burger. The burger was very good and so were the fries. I would order this again. My boyfriend really liked his pizza. This is definitely the kind of place to go sit at and watch the game. read more

My complaints are that I do not like pepper jack cheese so I asked for American the only other choice. The bill came and they charged me 1.00 for cheese. Did not think they should charge me, because the hamburger already came with cheese. Also, waiter kept my change from the cash I used to pay my bill. I did not tell them to keep it. Love this new place that opened in town. I've came here a few times. My favorites are the poblano spinach dip, the pizza, and the happy hour margaritas. The service here is hit and miss, there's been times when the service is amazing! This time however service was minimum. The place is decorated really nice. There is a TV almost at every corner and they all place something different. The place is a little loud due to the music they play, but their music choice is good! Bubba's has been around for quite awhile and having had daughters that have worked there, I'm no stranger to Bubba's 33..., so when a new one opened in Brownsville I definitely meandered in and let there be no doubt, I wasn't disappointed. Coldest beer and biggest burgers are the norm and that's exactly what I indulged in. Classic burger, fries, half stack of delicious onion rings, and boneless wings in the side. I would give it a ZERO if I could. Don't get me wrong. the food was mediocre- of what little I was allowed to try. All I wanted was to have a good meal, listen to some music at a reasonable decibel and talk to my mom. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT! I got there early and I was with my mom. She is hard of hearing and they had the music up really loud. They kept coming over and asking how we were doing so obviously they were ATTENTIVE and the food came out quickly. But for some reason, on one of those drive by check ins, I said the music was too loud and if they could turn it down. They said they would work on that. Then a second person came by again and I said that the music was too loud and they said they were going to check on it. A third person came around and I was told the same thing and that time it was like they RAISED THE VOLUME! Then the manager came around. ONCE AGAIN I pointed out that the music was too loud and if they could turn it down. This time I was told that they tried to but this was as low as it would go. THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO LOWER THE VOLUME! I had to scoff at that. I just wanted to eat and get out before my ears started to bleed from the volume of the music. I couldn't even talk to my 86-year old mom in there! So when the server came by yet again, I WAS LIVID! Who wouldn't be after being ignored politely! I told everyone that the music was too loud and nobody is doing anything to fix the problem NOT EVEN THE MANAGER! I just wanted to eat and go so I got pretty mean because no one was listening to me. Apparently she isn't accustomed to being yelled at even though ignoring a person will have that response! Next thing I know the manager comes over and starts getting after me for getting abusive with his waitress. I said yes because you refuse to turn down the music and then he gets in my face while I AM TRYING TO EAT AND GOT to the point where I asked him if he wants me to go and he said yes and I said that it was perfectly fine and I would NEVER GO BACK AGAIN.... I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO A PLACE THAT IGNORES A SIMPLE REQUEST! Apparently this asshole needed to have the last word because he was doing his dick thing to show his staff "who was boss" as I was leaving and finally I told him to FUCK OFF! Don't go there unless you want your ears to bleed and the waitstaff to treat you by ignoring you politely AKA "we just want your money and WDGAF what you want"!! What the hell happened to the customer is always right? NOT IN THIS PLACE. They couldn't even turn down the music to a reasonable level to where people can actually have a conversation! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Save your money and be sure to invest it in a restaurant that treats you with respect! And I used profanity because there have been studies indicating that using profanity reinforces the honesty of the person. I don't complain often but when I do it is for a good reason. He didn't chase me out but he wanted to make it seem as if he did to score extra brownie points with the waitress. I'm not surprised! We discovered Bubba's 33 in Brownsville TX while driving by and soon returned to try it out! The staff are all friendly, accommodating, and very attentive to our needs. The food is outstanding from the delicious burgers to the pizza to the fried shrimp, everything was delicious! While it appears that the typical customer is much younger than we are, these old folks were very impressed with how well we were treated. I have to admit that, once we experienced our first trip to Bubba's 33, we returned three times in the next week and a half!! That should tell you how much we like it!! read more

My boyfriend and I went today for the first time and the experience wasn't what you would expect for a first time dine in. We loved the ambiance, the issue was the service and server. We got seated within minutes of walking in which was great, our server brought our drinks and our appetizer mind you it wasn't busy at all and we waited 30 minutes before she came back to take our order. My boyfriend ordered a double cheeseburger plain and dry, the order was brought to us with everything added, we told our server Sam that we asked for it plain and dry and she asked if it was okay that they gave it to us with everything I said no if she could take it back and she did and brought it back with the burger dressed. So needless to say we paid and left he didn't eat his burger and we spent well over 40 dollars on the entirety of the two meals purchased. My Son and I visited the McAllen location and we had a wonderful 1st time visit. We loved the food, we loved the Service and the Atmosphere. We decided to visit the Brownsville location. We had poor waiter Service. The waiter - gentleman came took our order and we didn't see him until we were eating. He apologize. We could only wonder why? He left, according to my son he had other tables on the other side of the room, plus he was going to talk to a female at the bar. We had to ask another person to ask him to bring our ticket.
