We stopped here based on our family, having the opportunity to dine in here in the past and let me say it was a nice place to stop and have dinner. If you are a sports fan, they have 1 million TVs everywhere inside so you will not miss your game that you're watching . Everything inside looked really, really clean and well presented and they have all kind of sports stuff hanging on the walls and it's really really cool . Our service was outstanding. A very nice lady took care of us welcomed us, gave us our menus and explained a lot of the features that they are known for and she was also very attentive for our drinks, which is very nice. Grabbed a bite today from this establishment. It simply reminded me of a sports bar/Green Turtle type of venue. Relaxed, big screen TVs, a nice vibe. Sat on the bar side at a high top table. Our server, Gabi was pleasant and nice. Food/drink weee good. I ordered a Cobb salad which was fresh and filling along with my usual classic margarita. We were in Raeford North Carolina last weekend to visit family. It was a rainy weekend, so on Saturday we decided to do some running around just to get out of the house. After we did some shopping, my son suggested that we stop here for dinner and we are so glad that we did. We had a very nice experience, our waitress was very nice answered all of our questions and was very attentive to our needs the atmosphere there is laid-back, football was on, and was just a nice place to relax and have dinner. All of our food was very good And came out pretty promptly. Our appetizers were out very quickly and then our dinners to follow, they were quite busy, so it was very understandable that we waited just a little bit of time, not much time we were fine, just sitting and relaxing. The place was fairly packed with a good percentage of service members present. It's always good seeing our protectors out and about enjoying themselves! My wife and I decided to sit at the bar. We ordered adult beverages. Unfortunately, they did not have any bitter so I decided on there old-fashioned. After review and a little bit of consultation with the bartender, we decided on the buffalo chicken pizza without the hot sauce and a salmon salad. When we pulled up it wasn't busy as we anticipated given it's the playoffs. We were seated right away. We ordered our drinks and one glass was dirty. We informed the waitress and she said "oh it's on the outside." We all looked at her in disbelief. My husband had to explain to her why the glass needed to be replaced. One person in our party's order was wrong so we asked for it to be corrected. The waitress stated, "I rang it in correctly." Party of 3 stopped here for lunch and let me just say, absolutely 100 percent worth it! The hostess was very welcoming, our waitress was right on point, the cook even stopped by to make sure our food was cooked properly. Seconds after stepping inside, we were directed to a booth; a minute later, our server, Britt, introduced herself. She's friendly, attentive, and the only time her smile left her face was when I tried maneuvering the large, hot pizza. Bubba's isn't the type of place I'd normally go but it was by the hotel. When you walk in, it is loud. As it was busy I took a seat at the bar. The bar tenders were friendly. There are tvs on the perimeter so you can watch all the sports you want. I went with the Hawaiian pizza as I hadn't had that in a while and was told Bubba's was known for its pizza. I always check Yelp for restaurant ideas anytime we head out of town which led me to Bubba's 33 after my husband saw the food photos. When we first got there I saw the Carrabba's across the street and tried to convince my husband that we could totally have Italian 2 nights in a row, but I'm super glad he didn't change his mind. Walking in and trying to figure out the hostess stand was a little confusing, but we were sent in the right direction and were sat in a comfortable booth. Being a sports bar the music was loud and there were TVs everywhere (not really date night ready restaurant) but if my husband wanted it so he didn't have room talk to me for our date night he got his wish lol. The waitress wasn't very attentive and she was hard to hear in the loud bar. I ended up drinking 2 of the 10 oz $4.50 margaritas, the watermelon one was delicious and refreshing and the mango one was just ok. Not super strong but I guess that's what you get for that price point. I ordered the super Stromboli and it made up for everything else. The Stromboli was layers upon layers of flavor all the way from the mouthwatering dough to each layer of the meats inside, the garlic butter flavoring the crust, plus the sprinkling of Parmesan over the top. On top of that they gave me house made ranch and pizza sauce to dip it which was the biggest dilemma of the day as they were both superb. The inside of the restaurant definitely reminded me of sport bar vibes. There are TVs and sports jerseys mounted everywhere. The first waiter seemed a little tired and as if she didn't want to wait us. She replaced herself with Steven who was absolutely amazing. The introducing of himself throughou the care of our remaining time he was excellent. Appetizers: The table started with the fried pickles. Seasoned and fried to perfection is the best way to describe these pickles. They are great with ranch but the remoulade that came with it as well was way better. Entrees: I opted for the shrimp poboy and it was good. I would suggest more of the spicy cream sauce either on the shrimp or the bun. There is so much bread that it needs a coating of something in my opinion. Drink. I order the pink lady (not pictured) for a $5.99 drink it was really good. Sunday, we ordered nachos and a grilled chicken salad. The salad was on par with the other area restaurants....but the nachos were AWFUL! It was a pickup order, so not sure who prepared the nachos but they were greasy, oily, stuck together, and barely warm. My guess is they had been sitting under a "warming lamp" for to long. The garlic parm wings were so dry I thought they were plain w/o sauce. The traditional wings were dry as well. The onion rings were so greasy and soggy that I had to re-cook them and drain them on paper towels! They have a FANTASTIC cocktail menu but because we were getting back on the road I had to pass! But I really did want one of those margaritas!!!! This was a smash Burger. Idk why i was thinking of some huge ass Burger for some reason. It was ok a bit salty used ranch to mask the saltiness. Tbh this was about $14 and some change but after my military discount it came to $12 and some change. Idk if this was worth the price. For $12 I can go to Wendy's and get 2 fo for fo's. This was not their best night. We have been here several times, and normally really enjoy the food. My mother-in-law, who has several dietary issues, loves the grilled chicken salad. The three of us went for dinner on Saturday night. Since I was there with my mother-in-law, a drink was necessary. Ordered a vodka and club soda. The drink came out a few minutes later, seemingly devoid of vodka. I had my husband take a sip just to make sure I wasn't imagining the lack of alcohol. There was definitely not that telltale smell or taste. I took the drink up to the bar and they fixed it. Ok, we are back on track. Ordered appetizers - boneless wings and spinach dip. No real issues with either of those (except man, those boneless wings were more like chicken nuggets, not much bigger than a ping pong ball). For our main dishes we ordered the Dickie V, well done, and the mother-in-law got her fave - grilled chicken salad. This is when things went sideways. My mother-in-law has...let's say health issues that prevent her from being able to eat certain things, like onions or cheese. So I watched as the server wrote it down - no onion, no cheddar jack cheese, add goat cheese. Our food arrived - the pizza was barely cooked, not well-done as requested. Not a biggie, this is a matter of taste, not food safety. The mother-in-law's salad was another story. Sitting atop the salad was a big scattering of sliced red onion and a healthy serving of shredded cheese, no goat cheese. We called the server over and pointed out the problem. She apologized profusely and took the plate back. A few minutes later she came back, and there was the goat cheese. Great! Unfortunately, as my mother-in-law began to eat, she started finding pieces of onion, and of shredded cheese, mixed in with the salad. Clearly the kitchen tried to be slick and pick out the offending food instead of making a fresh salad. Worse yet, the grilled chicken was pink in the middle. PINK. Great if it's a steak, not so great for chicken. In fact, it was completely unsafe to eat. At this point we brought the manager over and shared the variety of issues with him. His response was to comp us the spinach dip ($9) and give us a coupon for a free entree on our next visit. As if there would be a next visit.
