OFF THE CHAIN!!! Absolutely great atmosphere, wait staff, and food! It will not disappoint

They were rude and all they cared about was a tip the only thing that was good was the appetizers everything else was not good

I know that they have not been open too long at this location so I suspect the errors were from inexperience of the staff. We ordered a decent size takeout order and with a variety of items. The area to park for pick up was just far enough away from the restaurant to not have a parking issue. We ordered pizza, cheesesteak sandwich, salad, garlic knots and wings. The food was good but we did have some errors in the order. We were missing sides and sauces that we ordered. The boneless wings that we ordered came as traditional wings but with the correct sauce. However, those wings were huge so might actually order those in the future. The salad was missing the focaccia bread and extra dressing but otherwise ok. After they workout some of the kinks should be a good place to eat. read more

The service was good. What I didn't like is the side salad and the battered shrimp appetizer both came with potato straws on them. Luckily I asked for them on the side when my salad came but didn't know they came on the shrimp. Who puts potato chips in essence on either of these?! Would have maybe been a 4 rating if this wasn't the case. Not sure with the other food they have but with the shrimp- seemed like they were covering up that the food doesn't have much taste. We went to Bubba's for a birthday celebration. We had a large group of 11. They did their best to seat us together. Jordan and Kristina were managers on duty very pleasant and were very nice to accommodate us. The food excellent. Our waiter was amazing, with how busy the Restaurant was. He did an outstanding job on keeping our drinks fresh, filled and ensuring that we all had a great time. read more

Service was just ok. Out of sweet tea, sent someone to the grocery store to get bags to make new. Got the tea at the end of our meal. Never got our plates for the three appetizers we ordered . We did order a second on one of the appetizers and had to ask about it twice. Our meals came out piping hot and the food was good. Told our waiter twice that today was my son's birthday...nothing!! The LOUD LOUD LOUD music was horrible!! You can't even talk to the person next to you!!! Chaotic, shift manager lacking professionalism, dirty bathroom, horrible wait time when not very busy. Completely disappointed and feel disrespected by "shift manager" Jordon P. This guy completely walked away from his responsibility in handling our concerns. We waited from 3:30 to 4:05for a table. Put our order in once seated and at 4:45 still no food. our server was nice and kept checking in but after 45 minutes we started getting a little hangry. We asked to get it to go and she said it was still a ways out. We said we were just going to leave when she said she would get the manager on duty to try to help us with the situation. Jordon P. Walks right past us and never stops at our table. The other manager comes over and apologizes and says he refused to address our concerns. I have eaten here at bubba's 33 twice now. My wife and son were very impressed. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. It is very rare that I go to a restaurant and not finish what I ordered, how ever both times I left with a box full of half my meal. I had the phyli steak , and the chicken parm sandwich. And they did not disappoint. We shared an order of nachos and they were awesome! So far it has turned into one of my favorite places in Roanoke. I love all the tvs that are visible from any seat in the house. The ambience was wonderful. I highly recommend. read more

We went in the early evening on a Sunday in October and the restaurant was not full but we still had a 45 min wait to be seated in the bar area (with children) when there was other seating available. Once at our table, it was another half an hour until we were served. Our waitress was friendly and attentive (as much as possible based on the tables she was servicing. ) The food was plentiful and tasty. I'm assuming the wait was due to staff constraints. I would suggest not going super hungry like we were as you are in for a wait. read more

Did not have along wait. Party of 2 at within 5 minutes on a Saturday night. Great garage like environment with good food. The biggest complaint is that we have been twice and they have not had the monte cristo. It is the best thing on the menu but they run out of it too often. Burgers are good. Loaded tots are great! Shrimp Po Boy has too much bread but the shrimp have a good flavor. Good place with good service. read more

Ordered a meaty, meaty pizza with additional toppings of green peppers, black olives, and pineapple. Wishful thinking on the pineapple, and the green peppers were virtually nonexistent as well, aside from a few slivers. Pretty disappointing, considering each additional topping costs $2.50. So $7.50 extra for a meat pizza with phantom veggies. By the way, it's also not a very meaty pizza. I'd give it a "meat" pizza at best. read more

We had dinner there a couple of nights ago. The waitress was outstanding. I had hot wings and a side salad, and my husband had a side salad and a Philly cheese steak. He didn't like the sandwich, and I wasn't impressed with the wings. The salad was delicious, especially the lemon basil vinaigrette. I would go back just for a salad. read more

This was our third time dining with Bubbas. We came in twice during opening week during school soccer season. This week we came to celebrate a family event. We had a party of 10 on a Wednesday at 5:00. After an hour wait we were sat at back to back tables and split up. We were not asked if we were ok with sitting separately but after an hour we felt like there were no choices. We had 2 different servers, orders were put in at separate times, and our server kept disappearing. We ordered waters but had to flag down a different server for refills. In total it took 1 hour and 13 minutes after the hour wait to receive food. Our remaining party received appetizers and their order minus a child's order for the toddler at the table which was never put in. The other table finished before we received food. After we received food we questioned the wait time and were told that the restaurant is new, the kitchen was overwhelmed, and it was our server's first day. Not my concern. We did speak to a manager who 'wanted to make it right' which provided a 10% discount. While some gesture was appreciated, what we wanted was empathy and an apology without excuses. I won't say we won't go back as the food was great, but it will be a while before we try again and hope that they get the kinks worked out with the wait staff. Went for the 1st time today. Got there when they opened.. Waitress didn't get our drink order right. Food was average at best. Good atmosphere. Not going to be my go to place. Well this unfortunate. Ive visited this place 2x's, my first visit was spectacular. But last night we went... we sat for an hour waiting for our food to find out our order was never placed. Then our food arrives the exact time we order a dinner for To go . Which I asked for that order to be placed after our meals were received... my lady's plate comes out the chicken over cooked n rubbery . I had a super size Stromboli . The Stromboli is not super size it's hogie sized . Two there's ingredients that's in the item that's not listed on the menu. N when I received my item it was globs of some type of garlic spread or some type of mess on my plate that was not present on the menu. The manager comes to our table n was oddly rude n offended my lady. I'd say the food of what I saw coming out the kitchen didn't look bad but the service isn't it. The manager or owner needs to work on the approach of the customers regardless if there in the wrong or the customer. Tell me you're lying without telling me you're lying. It's the 4th of July and we came 20 minutes after they opened and we see people being turned away. They claim they had no food. Service is phenomenal. Burgers are delicious. BUT every side I have tried has left me wanting. The fries are sufficient, the Mac n cheese is quite bland, fire fries may need a heads up , crooked fried cheese was okay, etc. I've eaten there twice so far and both times I was pleased with the burger just not the sides, however, I'd go back only for the burger to be honest. read more

My family and I come to dine in and was seated at a very nice corner booth in the bar area for the 6 of us. It started off well until my brother in law got onions on a burger after stating he would prefer none. The server was prompt to take it to the kitchen which was directly around the corner from our table. Out of curiosity one my way to the rest room i decided to check and see just how long it would be after waiting until the rest of us were practically done with our meals I witnessed an employee being berated by another employee being told it wouldnt be remade from the error due to not checking before hand. I decided to stand there to wait for a manger only to hear this employee insulting his Co workers with the loudest most purposely obnoxious laugh that echoes through put the restaurant while making awful comments to another employee on the line. I am familiar with restaurant work having OWNED a small one where I am from realizing this was supposed to be expo. Now we eventually did get the food. Not only to find out it was the expo who made the mistake. Deciding to ask for a manager after discussing this with my family we were informed this boy was a manager!!!! Calling his staff names and unwilling to help with his own error. By this point only wanting his name (Tristan or Christian) to call corporate office we thought posting the review to be seen was suitable. I do not support this vulgar display of power. And I am certain by other reviews I've read now other folks wouldnt. Not only does management t not care to help the staff appropriately but also making the customer suffer! Went there for the first time. Our server Roberta was very nice and attentive. We ordered her drink suggestion, Midnight Train Lemonade and we were very pleased. We ordered the half order of Onion Rings and they were delicious. For dinner I got the Fish & Chips, subbed tater tots for fries. The fish came out very hot and crispy but after a few bites the coating and fish became very soggy. The tater tots were good but were way too salty. My husband got the Southern Fried Chicken with garlicky potatoes and Mac & Cheese (additional cost) w/bacon. He enjoyed the chicken but said there was too much salt in the potatoes. He also enjoyed the Mac & Cheese but said they are nothing to write home about and the bacon was just packaged bacon bits. When we got our bill I was surprised at the $1 charge for the bacon that was added to the .99 Mac & Cheese. For such a small sprinkle of bacon that wasn't even cooked there that is quite a big charge. We will be back but will definitely try some of the other menu options. read more
