The Cuban Pork Sandwich is good in its own right but doesn't taste like a classic or traditional Cuban Pork Sandwich . This sandwich is more of this restaurant's take on a classic. The wings were good but the jerk rub lacked salt (which is surprising since most rubs usually have the opposite problem lol) and I didn't get the celery and carrots I paid extra for. 3.5 experience rounded up to 4

I can see why they won multiple awards for their wings they are delicious! We also enjoyed the West Coast Burger. It was perfect. Service was great, food was delicious, would go back!

Solo, I sat at the bar. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Sub. It was an ok size, the roll was thick and hearty, but it needed more cheese. The meat tasted like it had been on a dirty grill too long, and tasted burnt. Don't get me wrong. I like a hole-in-the wall grill flavor! The best thing I can say about it, it was served hot! It comes with chips. The chips here are homemade, which is great, but they arent pub style chips, they're so thin, they won't hold up for the onion dip (onion dip is extra). Which is fine. The onion dip, for being homemade, isn't good by any standard. It was creamy, but no onion flavor. I thought I would like a side salad. And I was right! The side salad was very good. Ranch dressing makes everything taste good! It was served first, and built me up to expect at minimum a good sandwich. Darn! Oh well. I expected a pub type place. Here, there is no indication this is a pub. It's more of a strip mall diner, that has a bar. I am glad to have experienced it. Now I know where not to go. Maybe the hot dogs are good? I will find another place and take my chances there. My experience, if ya want a good side salad, this is the place. But I wouldn't bring my friends or family here for a sandwich or "dawg". Oh! Should have visited sooner, the prices recently increased. One Philly, side salad, two beers, $30 (before tip).

i wont even give this place one star but unfortunately i camnot post unless i at least pick one. the environment, staff and food are disgusting! they actually have a health department issue happening now due to one of the employees licking her fingers while she cooks! i got a burger that was raw and when i asked for it to be recooked they said they couldn't because they were short staffed and too busy! wow!!!!! needless to say the pic of my burger and my experience will also be shared with the health department too.

    Italian Sub

Great restaurant that has great subs and a lively atmosphere. Would recommend this restaurant, especially the Italian sub.

The Spinach Dip! It's so good and so big!!!! I need this recipe!

My sister and I stopped at Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint in Roanoke after two ladies at the L&L…read moreshop downtown recommended it, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. The place is small but quaint, with dim lighting, a full bar, and a fun mix of music genres that keeps the vibe relaxed but lively. I ordered the Gregg Brady, and my sister had the Doctor Gozo, both made with 100% Wagyu beef. You can taste the quality immediately. I added mushrooms and grilled onions for a small extra fee, and had my BBQ chips that come on it, on the side. We shared the crinkle‑cut fries, which came with their incredible house sauce. The sauce was so good I asked if they sold it, they do not, but the waitress sent me home with some samples for free. Service was fast and friendly. The waitresses were dressed in black tank tops, black shorts, and black shoes, and every one of them worked with a smile, like they were glad you came. The restaurant entrance itself is handicap accessible, but the bathrooms are not, they're very clean but also very small and too tight for a wheelchair to fit inside. One of the coolest things about Jack Brown's is their Beer Club. If you drink 100 different beers, you become a "Notcher." If you drink 1,000, different beers you become a "Saint." On Saint's Day, Saints get all food and drinks free, unlimited, with no tab. It's a huge part of their culture and adds to the fun, and a loyal community. Overall, the food was phenomenal, the staff went above and beyond, and the atmosphere made the whole visit top notch. I will definitely be coming back the next time I roll through this part of town. How to Become a Notcher (repeat for the Saints) To achieve Notcher status, individuals must follow these steps: 1. Visit a Jack Brown's location: Start by walking into any Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint. 2. Request a Notcher list: Ask for the Notcher list to begin your journey. 3. Try 100 different beers: Sample 100 different beers to reach Notcher status. 4. Join the community: Once you hit 100, you become part of the Notch Club, which includes various events and celebrations. This program encourages beer lovers to explore different flavors and styles while fostering a sense of community.

After being awarded the Triad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last…read moreyear, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, I decided that this year I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those young established ones that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And The BiblioPub is the perfect example. Located on Campbell Ave, in Downtown Roanoke's West End District, almost next to the Locker Room Lofts, The BiblioPub calls itself a Bookstore, Coffee Shop, and Beer & Wine Lounge. With a Cafe Menu divided into Sandwiches, Coffee and Tea, and Beer & Wine, it also stocks current pastries and sweets from locally owned bakeries. As soon as I found out of its existence, and reviewed its website, I immediately headed over there to discover what this place was all about. What I found completely amazed me. A large open space with furniture arranged in such a way as to create warm and cozy spaces where people can go to read, eat, drink, view and purchase used and new books, and socialize with one another in a cozy and comfortable environment where they can get together with old friends or meet and make new ones. A welcoming and friendly staff consisting of two ladies were situated behind the bar counter, where they greet and meet with their customers, take their orders, and bring the orders to the tables where they are seated. If the order is for an alcoholic beverage, I saw them checking the person's ID before processing it. They also were chatting with the customers seated at the bar drinking some beers. There are bookcases full of used and new books, reasonably priced, so one could get a sense of the book there and decide if to purchase it and take it home with them. Since I already had dined, I ordered a lemon muffin and a large Iced Café Latte. After paying with a credit card, I went to sit down with my muffin and one of the staff brought me the coffee when it was ready. I believe this is a wonderful concept for a place where one can go, enjoy reading a good book, have a snack or light meal, cool down with an Iced Coffee, beer, or a glass of wine, while socializing with friends in a safe and cozy environment.
