Stopped here yesterday for a pair of much needed kid's flip flops…read more There was a sales associate near the front door (all other methods of entry/exit were closed) welcoming me & ensuring mask adherence; hand sanitizer available upon entry; clearly marked signage everywhere to help ensure social distancing and mask adherence; every sales associate was wearing a mask (accurately- over the nose & close fitting); plexiglass encased each register/check-out area (another bottle of hand sanitizer was available at each register area), etc. All sales associates were professional, helpful and courteous. This is the first time I have ventured into a non-grocery type store since March of this year due to Covid. I was very happy to see that the management of this store takes the health and safety of both their employees and the public seriously.

I recently had a child and moved into the Mt Kisco area from Manhattan where I would frequently shop in many GAP locations. Financial district location being my favorite. The service is always excellent and the people are always helpful. Diane in the Mt Kisco store is extremely rude, very unhelpful and it seems she doesn't want to work. I have visited the store numerous times in the last 2 months and I always receive stand offish treatment from her. I am a African American women I'm not sure if my skin color is the reason but perception is reality and that's the way it appears. I am writing in concern and I would suggest having a training with Diane who works in the Kids gap side of the Mt Kisco store. The lovely lady who works on the adult side is always pleasant to work with!

I was in and out with exactly what I needed for a FRACTION of the cost of the same items at Nordstrom and exceptional quality in less than 20 minutes. For snow pants, snow boots, and mitten clips unpaid $191. Snow boots at Nordstrom were $100, snow pants by Patagonia were $129. Also, nowhere else in northern Westchester had toddler sizes for snow pants. Literally checked tens of stores. Squires was fully stocked. Also, the two men running the shop were incredibly helpful. And the beautiful dog Campbell who roams the shop? I mean, come on. I live for a shop dog.

We would get fitted for boots, ski's & poles. *Hickory & Tweed was founded by Jimmy and Roberta Ross in 1961. The name represents ~ Hickory (type of wood for skis) & Tweed wool (being the best insulation for the cold back then). In 1985, Skip Beitzel, who worked there while in high school, bought it and has kept the name and the concepts. I was so happy to see it was still a local icon and not much had changed. My High School friend and I stopped in to browse amongst the gear and chatted with one of the sales people. The store had all top of the line sports brands and upstairs on the second floor they still do the ski equipment fittings! It totally made my day! They also have a bike shop located on the same lot in a separate building. The shop looks like a colonial home. Renting and returning gear is easy and pain free. We really enjoy going there, and tapping the trail sign for snow, and all the picks of Tuckerman's and famous Olympians like Billy Kidd. This is a real old school ski shop with the old school take care of your ski spirit. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
