I love the staff at this store. They are great and wise about helping getting gifts. They sell merchandise for horses and dogs. They take most major credit cards, cash and checks. They have all kinds of tack -- saddles, bridles, halters, and stall guards. The fly spray selection is normally pretty good. I have been going there since I was a teenager. It was one of the first tack stores in that area.They have books on riding, magazines, and clothes. There is a bathroom on the premise. Years ago, I got a purple windbreaker there for $20. Some of the stuff can be expensive is the old disadvantage -- that is because the sport is so costly. read more

The best customer service! When something on my airbag vest didn't look quite right after replacing the cartridge, they took it right back and replaced it, no questions asked. The staff was very helpful with assisting me over the phone for my son's riding attire when I was getting him ready for The Devon Horse. There are 3 Floors of products and all is located in a very charming shop located right in Bedford Village. The Horse Connection is Definitely Affordable & everything you need for the horse & rider showing or pleasure. This is also great shop for New Show Mom's, as the staff knows how to take the lead and make New Show Mom's very comfortable. I have been shopping at the Horse Connection for close to 20 years. The selection and service is impeccable. When I first started showing I needed tall boots, I came into the Horse Connection at 4:30 on a Saturday, Natasha kept the store open for me till 7pm to make sure I was able to find the right size and fit for my first pair tall boots. My wife and I live about half an hour away from Bedford so we decided to drive over, have lunch and check it out. After lunch we wanted to explore a bit so we just walked down Main Street. We walked in to Horse Connection, mostly for me since they had a sign posted out front saying they carried Barbour, which happens to be a favorite brand of mine. As we get towards the back of the store the woman behind the counter came back to ask "Can I help you?" Not is there anything in particular you're looking for? Not is there anything I can help you find? Just "Can I help you?" This by it self wouldn't have bothered me. My wife and I said "No thank you we're just looking for now." She then proceeded to tell us what was on every floor starting with the bottom floor. "There's a lot of horse stuff, which you would probably find boring, but on the top floor there's sale items." That's when we got a bit offended. We found the tone of the shop to be assuming and patronizing. It just kind of left a bad taste in our mouths, but I'm sure it's great for horse stuff. read more
