This place is located on the second floor of South Shore near Nordstrom Rack. This place was spacious and had a bar style vibes. There is a bar counter in the back as well as a lot of dine-in tables. Dynamite fried boneless chicken bites: We got this on their happy hour menu. The chicken bites were good. It was large and meaty. The breading was good. Crispy and seasoned. It wasn't hot temperature wise though. Garlic bacon fried rice: Wow, absolutely love this fried rice. So much flavor and very savory. The yellow pickles in the rice were very smart. Adds some crunchy texture and tangy taste to it. Fish and chips: The fish was good, moist and golden crispy. The tsukudani aioli was delicious. A very different aioli sauce. We got an upgrade on the fries and chose the truffle parmesan fries. Good truffle flavor and the fries were thin and crispy. Not enough parmesan on top though. Overall, really enjoyed their foods. The portions were big and perfect for sharing. The service was not bad, our server was friendly but she did disappear afterwards so we had to go to the bar counter to fill our waters on our own. It wasn't busy during the early evening hours but I can see this place pick up later toward the night.

Steven was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. We had such a fun time talking story with him; he made us feel right at home. His outstanding service and warm personality truly went above and beyond. He exemplifies everything you want in a bartender, and he definitely deserves 5 stars for his dedication and hospitality. Highly recommend The Social -- fantastic atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, and an incredible bartender like Steven. We'll be back soon!

I sincerely thought it wouldn't be enough food to fill me up. I was wrong. My husband and I are usually big eaters and we were both full. He ordered a bucket of beers - 5 for $25 which was a nice deal. The Nonna's Special Drink - "Lost In Rome" was both pretty and delicious! The service was excellent! It's a family owned business and family operated. They are very friendly, down to earth, and it's easy to kind of feel like family, even as a customer because of how easily they chat and talk to you as if you've known them a long time. Upon first walking in to the main entrance, it felt a little strange since this used to be a Foodland. But when we were sitting at the bar talking story, we kind of forgot that we were sitting in one small eatery that is a part of a larger food court type environment. It was a Friday night, which apparently is salsa night. There was an open area kind of in the middle of all the eateries where there was a couple teaching salsa to people who are interested in learning. From what it looked like it seemed that these were all individual people that showed up separately but partnered up to learn the dance. Overall, I would definitely recommend you check this place out. We liked it so much that we're going back again tomorrow night.

Friendly and personable, we were immediately remembered after our first visit. The soup is ono, the meatballs are awesome, and my fav is the Caprese salad. Enjoy your food at the bar where you can talk story all you like with the bartenders. Thursdays are line-dancing nights and Friday is salsa nights - both are very popular and everyone is friendly. Drink at Nonna's and enjoy the events.

There are two sections to Nico's - a take out are where you can order poke, poke bowls, Hawaiian food, as well as fresh fish; also available are beer in a cooler and wine. Next door is a busy restaurant with a full bar. My sister and I wanted some poke and based on her friend's recommendation, we decided to visit. I ordered the special ultimate poke bowl (three fish selection) and it's amazing where there is more poke than rice! My sister's choice was also tasty. As we were checking out, the young cashier stated we could eat next door in the restaurant - wow, a pleasant surprise. It was during lunch so the restaurant was busy, but we found a seat. What's goes great with great fresh poke? Great fresh poke + beer, which was available at the bar! A great combination. Located off of Nimitz, Nico's is located on the far end of a converted warehouse, close to the pier, park and walk. It's worth visiting.

Lunch menu has more variety and the dishes are done well (Blackened ahi sandwich is sooo good, truffle fries, chicken katsu ) This review is for the dinner service: Ambiance: it's a good view, it's right on the pier, and it's dog friendly. (4/5) Staff: Hostess - we asked to sit outside and asked for a table near the railings - she told us that the table wasn't available but it was available the entire time we were there and there were several other open tables. (3/5) Waiter: quick service (mostly) & friendly. But didn't refill our water or inquire - tbf he was covering a lot of tables.(4/5) Food: (5/5) Poke Nachos. Order these, you won't be disappointed. Creme Brûlée Cheesecake - this was so good. (4/5) Drink/After 7: I like when the presentation looks like the pic; This did not but it was delicious. (3/5) Garlic chicken bites / average - crunchy but a little bland Edamame / fresh but average Monchong (catch of the day) the fish was fresh but the seasoning was bland Steak fritters- the steak was well cooked and flavorful, but the fries were way over salted and tasted previously frozen. (2/5) The burger - the patties had too much filling and not enough "burger". I got the side salad instead of fries and it's just green leaf lettuce, a little wilted, withe house dressing, and the dressing is not great. Desert slices are small and cost 8.50-13.00 (go down the road to Liliha Bakery instead) Vanilla Caramel Crunch cake - there wasn't a real "crunch" and the caramel layer in the top is way too thick. Chocolate cake - too dense Mango cheesecake - too tart

It has bar seating, cocktail lounge seating and a few "dining tables." The food is pretty good, I would give it a 4/5 because the portions are rather moderately small. But overall tasty and the bacon is outstanding. We had to order 6 items for 2 people to feel slightly full. But the menu is also fairly small with just tasting style apps meant for sharing and enjoying, they are not hearty and not meant to be entree sized. The cocktails are great, they do a wonderful presentation complete with smoke and etc. They have an extensive whiskey list and the options are are all diverse (mules, daiquiri, mescal, champs) yet standard. Now the service is pretty bad, greeted and asked repeatedly if we had a reservation which we did, we almost felt unwelcomed. Then the older skinny bartender perhaps in his 60's was very unfriendly and tried not to talk to us, take our order or even acknowledge us even though he was standing in front of us drinking water from his water bottle. This guy needs to work at a gas station or something where he can just sit in a corner and not speak to people. I wouldn't come here again, but if I were in the area and craving bacon I suppose I would. =) Bad service is just so off-putting.

We walked in and the hostess was super sweet. She informed us that they were wiping down a table and we got seated within 10 minutes. It was our first time here and we've both heard and saw good things but we asked for extra time to look over the menu and our server was patient and gave us more time and offered some recommendations as well. We chose a handful of small plates and the softshell crab pasta with all the extra stuff and it was the perfect amount of food for us. We were more wanting drinks and pupus so our selections fit that but I'm sure if we wanted an actual dinner, we would have also be satisfied with the offerings they have. My only complaint about our overall meal is that the cocktails didn't complement the food. The drinks on its own were good and the food on its own was good, very good but together, bleh. The bone marrow had a slight sweetness to it that I didn't care for too much but it wasn't horrible and it was cooked perfectly, not over done including the crostini's. The octopus was cooked good (I would prefer it be a little softer) but still very enjoyable and the flavors were really good. The pasta and soft shell, cooked perfectly and flavors on point. So much so that I need the recipe so I can add this dish into my dinner rotation! The decor is nice.. when we first walked in, I thought we were gonna get a table right by the door, along the window, and I didn't want that, but we ended up getting a table closer to the bathroom (I think it was the bathroom?) and I liked that area. The area by the bathroom gives off chill, classy vibes, but the other area was giving me, fast food, sit down area vibes.

It was good but also on the smaller side in terms of portions. #4 - The Soft Shell Crab Pasta was very buttery & garlicky, nothing super crazy. I highly recommend adding spicy sauce (on the table) in there, it was much better after! Next time I really want to try the duck breast salad!!
