    Spam & egg sandwich
    Michelle N.

Came here after dinner next door at Mr. Ojisan. Ordered some beer, shots and spam sandwiches. Friend wanted to play darts which is why we came here. Chill divey bar full of locals. I enjoyed the spam sandwich as soon as it came out but the second piece I had just wasn't as good. Definitely recommend eating it right away. Our server was friendly and checked in on us and kept our waters refilled! They do have parking in the front but also have street parking in case the lot is full.

Ahi Katsu! One of the best Ahi Katsu's I ever had!

During these crazy times of COVID-19, supporting a local business is more important than ever. I only discovered this place recently from a friend. They only have a small menu at the moment because everything is on a take-out basis but let me tell you the food here is good! One of the first dishes I tried here was the Ahi Katsu. If you look at the photo I posted the fish was cooked perfectly medium-rare. The breading was very light and crispy and the dikon ponzu sauce was a great match to the fish. This katsu is one of the best I ever had. I have also tried the braised pork belly and Mapo tofu. both excellent dishes also. Thank you, Tyler for introducing me to the gem of a restaurant.

Met a few friends tonight here at Y's. Great service and food. Ordered from the menu fried noodles, steak and mushrooms, fried chicken, French fries and pepperoni. Enjoy them all tasty and cooked to order. But the thing i likes to most was the soam egg sandwich, it hit the spot. Take a look at my photo. Lots of parking in front or on the street. Right after Zippys McCully.

Sizzling Kalbi is a must order here at Y's Sports Bar

Y's Sports Bar & Grill is my go to place for some ono late night grinds and if you love to play some darts and shoot some pool, this is the place to go. Located on S. King St, this place is somewhat of a dive bar considering how long this place has been open. I have to say that every time we come here, the service has always been on point and very friendly to say the least. Even when busy, our cute asian server who has been there for quite some time now is amazing at what she does. Also, the Korean Lady behind the bar is also very nice and always greets us every time we come here after a hard nights work and in need of an ice cold beer. At Y's, they do have a really nice Pupu selection and they do serve food till about 12:30 a.m which is great for people like us who work the swing shift. They have everything from Spam and Egg Sandwiches to Spicy Squid and even some Saimin if that tickles your fancy. But i have to tell you this, the ONE THING you have to order here is the Marinated Kalbi served with Onions on a Sizzling Platter. The Kalbi here is a long time family recipe and the Kalbi is so soft and tender and literally melts in your mouth. Make sure you get a side order of Rice when ordering this and it also comes with Kim Chee. Another dish i recommend ordering is the Smoked Pork. This is another dish that just hits home and is perfect with some ice cold beer. Also the Kim Chee Fried Rice is something that i would recommend ordering too. The only disappointment for me was The Fried Noodles. It looked very appealing to the eyes, but after eating it, there was just way too much Sesame Oil in it and it just killed the whole complexity of the dish. It was just Sesame Oil overkill if you ask me. I just love the homely feel of a dive bar where you can just relax and unwind and not have a worry in the world. As you look at the crowd here, you will not find any tourists here unless some local brings them here and there seems to be a lot of regulars here as they have Dart League's here and these are the times you kind of wanna stay away from the place because the parking is very limited here. But after 6 p.m there are a lot of parking along S. King St if the parking lot is full and you can also double park your car here if you dare. There is also Karaoke as well. They also have drink specials for everyday of the week, They have a decent beer selection but nothing on tap and they also have a decent selection of liquor as well. I guess there's a reason why these type of places are still open because locals like us never like to drink in Waikiki and coming to a place like this gives us this comfort zone that Waikiki doesn't and when service is this good why go anywhere else? In ending, i would definitely recommend this place for all you locals out there who want to eat some late night pupu's and just have a great time. This is Y i love coming here....... This is a MUST ORDER right here.... http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ys-sports-bar-and-grill-honolulu?select=66b-65yMLbF58gdu7hxkxQ#jy9Q2opMosH7REI5rLv_Eg And this as well.... http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ys-sports-bar-and-grill-honolulu?select=66b-65yMLbF58gdu7hxkxQ#RfM6O0NEvyQJ9BbFdjAUcQ

They have great food. Mamasun can cook up some ono short ribs. Awesome service here. They have a pool table, darts, and karaoke. Nice place to watch sports events. Owner and staff are very friendly and do a great job serving their customers. Parking on the weekends gets full pretty quick but you can double park. There are plenty of Street parking right before Zippys on King Street. Awesome place to hangout with friends and watch football during NFL season and NBA games as well as UH games and UFC fights.

Awesome service. The bartender and waitresses are friendly and attentive. Drink prices are awesome. Free karaoke makes things interesting on Saturdays lol. Has a great dive bar feel

Get karaoke? Oh...my question isn't long enough to post. Does this establishment have the option of singing karaoke?

Not currently. Probably because of pandemic, so they could bring it back at anytime.

We were towards the front of the line, we waited in line for over an hour, paid a cover charge, and then weren't even allowed inside until about 10 minutes before kickoff. After finally getting seated, we couldn't even order food for another hour. The biggest offense? The sound. It was essentially nonexistent... maybe a 1/10. We literally paid a cover charge to watch the biggest sporting event in the world in near silence. We couldn't hear the match, the commentary, the crowd, or even Shakira's halftime performance. You could hear a pin drop. There was no energy, no atmosphere, no excitement. For a World Cup Final, that's completely inexcusable. When multiple people voiced concerns, the manager couldn't have seemed less interested. The vibe in the room was painfully flat, and management appeared completely indifferent. We were told the owners didn't want to turn the volume up because a speaker had blown the previous week. If that's true, then don't charge people a cover for a premium viewing experience you can't deliver. That's on ownership, not the customers. The only reason this review isn't one star is because of the staff who were actually trying. Riley, the hostess, was absolutely wonderful: friendly, organized, and professional despite the chaos. Adam (the bartender with the cherry tattoos) was also incredibly kind and made the experience far better than management deserved. The front-line staff deserve praise. The manager and owners deserve to take a hard look at what they're offering. Charging people a cover to watch the World Cup Final while making them wait over an hour to get in, delaying food service for another hour, and then failing to provide even a basic viewing experience is simply unacceptable. We left feeling like management cared more about collecting cover charges than delivering the experience people paid for.

Everyone was very nice there and the space was a good sports bar to watch the World Cup at. We sat at the bar so we could see the TVs, but there were plenty around the restaurant. The food was mixed reviews. The shrimp fried rice was really good, a bit on the oily side (personally don't mind that) and lacked salt, but that was an easy fix. The special was this pork belly (I think) and honestly it didn't wow me. It was a bit bland and also the amount was so small. The Macaroni salad was good and rice was good. The slaw, to me, was too crunchy and could have marinated longer to soften up. Again, this dish lacked salt. The Pina Coladas, were very tasty and refreshing, but were too sweet so it was hard to get a second one and come close to finishing. I had my partner help me drink it because it was too much. I'd still go again and try other things on the menu and maybe ask for the colada to not be too sweet

The staff was super nice about it and was able to accommodate us, with only a small request that we be out by 8pm since there was another big party with a reservation coming in. Absolutely reasonable. They sat us right away at three large tables, which gave us plenty of space for food and didn't force us to sit super close together. Menus, waters, plates, napkins, and forks were all brought out immediately, and our waiter was quick to take our order. We started with the prix fixe menu for 8-10 guests and were going to add other items à la carte, but a handful of our group accidentally went to the other Side Street location (make sure your group is all on the same page), so what we ordered ended up being more than enough. We left stuffed and with 5 boxes of food still. Edamame was nice and steamy, and large enough to easily pop the beans out with your mouth. Wish there was a bit more salt though. The farmer's salad had everything going on from citrusy to salty to crispy. Avocado had a little bit of oxidation but the capers, dressing and potato curls provided plenty of reasons to overlook it. The fried rice came in a hefty portion, with sizable pieces of bacon and sausage. The chicken I didn't realize was boneless based on the shape of the deep fry, but it was nice to freely bite into it without worrying about hitting anything with my teeth. Probably a bit too much on fried bits but still good. Pork chops had a better meat to crisp ratio in my opinion, as well as juiciness. They even came with ketchup on the side, which I love as a pairing but don't see much of at restaurants. My favorite meat item was definitely the sizzling boneless kalbi. The presentation on the sizzling plate with a side of kimchi was spectacular, and the meat was full of flavor. We also ordered yakisoba, which wasn't part of the prix fixe. Tasted good but nothing past standard expectations. We let the waiter know we had a 30th birthday at the table, and they brought a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream with a candle, and did a decent job getting the whole room to participate in the singing. It could also be the type of crowd this place attracts, since it seemed that everyone was so friendly and approachable. Thanks to the quick and consistent service, we were out in a little over an hour with no complaints.
