I wondered how this place never made it onto my list during my time in residence locally. Perhaps it's because some older menus online have them offering a broad vegetarian (chay) selection, but when I got there, options were far fewer. Even their noodle bowl came with fish sauce. I figured the pho chay would be worth a try, but while it was a decent-looking spread, the vegetables were of somewhat dubious selection and quality, with a bunch of broccoli I didn't want and mushrooms and sprouts that had seen better days. The broth had flavor, but gave me a bit of a jittery feeling. They had some drink options, but not any bubble tea type of things. Nothing against the people, but I just wasn't that sold on the food. Even grading on a Fayetteville curve; this is not a place people come to for restaurants, but there are plenty of Vietnamese spots in town and I've had better experiences at several of them. read more

We were passing through on our way south and stopped for dinner. The menu looked good online and seemed to have decent options for vegetarians. We were invited to sit wherever we wanted. The place was clean and cutely decorated. The vegetarian options were slim. We ordered waters and our food within a few minutes of sitting down. I ended up ordering the "vegetarian" vermicelli which isn't vegetarian because it has fish sauce in it. My husband ordered the tofu egg noodles. We noticed that the people who were there before us waited quite a while before they got their food. After waiting about 70 minutes, we noticed that a large group that came in after us was getting their food and then the couple behind us also got their food!! We were starving and couldn't understand why everyone but us had their food now. I know their motto is that it's not fast food but this was getting ridiculous. Once we said something about the wait our food finally came out. I'm sorry but it was NOT worth the wait! Mine was drenched in fish sauce. That's all I could taste. And my husband's was just so-so. They apologized for the wait and ended up taking 10% off our bill. Frankly, that wasn't enough. This was the worst service I've had in a restaurant in years! read more

If this is the best Pho in Fayetteville like many of these reviews say, this city has a long way to go. I stopped in for lunch on Sunday and there were only a few customers ahead of me but it took quite a while to receive my Pho. To be honest, the Pho was not worth the 30-minute wait. The broth was bland and tasted like instant Pho. The tendon was cut so small that I didn't even recognize it at first. It wasn't until I finished my Pho that I spotted the small strips of the tendon at the bottom of the bowl. I'm sure their other dishes are delicious but if you're craving Pho, I would skip out on this place and make the drive to Raleigh. No thanks. read more

Saigon Bistro is a a tasty Lil pho! Shop here in Fayetteville. They have plenty of parking surrounding the building. They stay open till around 9pm ( closed on Mondays). The food is delicious just wished the order came with sides of sauces and chili ( always forget to ask) We usually bring home the Special Beef Soup and The regular Beef soup. Been driving by here for a while and finally decided to check out Saigon Bistros menu and call in my order. I decided to order their chicken with vegetables and upgraded to their fried rice for an extra $1. I got my food home and I was so excited to open the bag and try it out. Unfortunately with each bite the food fell flatter and flatter. It just lacked flavor, tasted a little watery, and lacked umph, especially the umph that you expect from really stir fried and well seasoned Chinese food. It just was not there for me. The plus was the people were nice and my food was ready quickly. But, it is not enough to bring me back, so it will be onto the hunt for the next Chinese food restaurant for me. read more

Again, this is my go-to for Vietnamese food in Fayetteville. They are reliable, quick and always delicious! I went here for lunch and got the Hong Kong Chicken and got their Sweet Coconut Rice and Avocado Smoothie to-go. Their Hong Kong Chicken was a simple stir fry with a medley of vegetables including carrots, green bell peppers, and baby corn. It had a nice subtle heat that paired well with white rice. It was a good portion and well-balanced for lunch. The Sweet Coconut Rice was a fun dyed green color sticky rice topped with shredded coconut and sweet and salty nuts. This is probably the best pho place in Fayetteville. I have tried 4 other places in town, multiple times. The soup base is delicious here. Pho is one of my favorite dishes and I've eaten it growing up in NYC and NOVA. While the food is really good the only con is it seems it takes quite a while for your order to come out. It was quite busy during lunch when I came, I guess expected of a good restaurant. But there are also signs all over the place saying "We don't serve fast food; we serve fresh food you will appreciate." So it's probably not an outlier I experienced. Wow. We ordered pick-up lunch from this place. I wasn't sure, but so glad that we took a chance. My co-worker is doing Keto or something where she can't eat carbs. I was frustrated with the tire so I told the 4 picky eaters I live with deal with it and found this place looking for some Pho to warm myself up after monkeying outside in the cold with a tire. I was lucky enough to work close enough to come a few times a week for lunch. While I don't order anything besides the pho and spring rolls, I've never seen anything come out that didn't look delicious! I'm not sure how this place garnered such high reviews because honestly... the food is just mediocre at best compared to the other Vietnamese restaurants that I've been to. I came here with my parents and we ordered the lemongrass noodle soup, beef pork vietnamese sub, beef vietnamese sub, the avocado smoothie, the coconut sweet rice, and the che ba mau. The lemongrass noodle soup is new and something we've never seen at other Vietnamese restaurants. The beef and the beef tendon were horribly overcooked and both very tough to chew. That is most definitely not supposed to be the case when it comes to pho. The beef and grilled pork vietnamese subs were interesting tasting and were a little too sweet. The avocado smoothie, coconut sweet rice, and the che ba mau are mediocre at best and there was the problem of too much sugar added as well. They've got a sign that says we do not serve fast food, we serve fresh foods that you would appreciate and they are right. The food that they serve does indeed take a while to be ready. The only thing that makes this place better is their good service - the waitress we got was super sweet. read more
