Good drinks. Variety of slush boba drinks or milk tea boba drinks with a seal on lid and straw to drink from. The downside was the floor was really sticky and all over not just a single spot. Which is wired because an employee should easily have been able to take care of. They just didn't care. The place smells horrible ... Like the kitchen needs better ventilation. I don't enjoy going to a drink place that stinks. My kids didn't like the smell either. So if you're picky about overall conditions than this place is not for you. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. When I came in it had smelled musty and when I went in line no one took my order. I asked is this where I order and two white girls in exercise clothes said yes but wait a second. Yeah that second was way more than a second, I waited 10 minutes and said "aren't you going to take my order?" And the reply I got back was "yes just wait a second." This is one of our favorite places to stop and relax when we are in town! Today, my family ordered the Bubble Tea Smoothies- Honeydew melon with lychee jelly and boba, Pineapple with yogurt bursting boba, and Strawberry with boba. Everything was delicious!!! I love that the boba Is soaked in brown sugar/sugar and was chewy. I also loved the jelly!!! It was thicker than I imagined, not like jello at all! It definitely makes a difference in my drink! I will start by saying I WAS a regular customer until the way I was treated tonight. I spend 20, almost $30 every time I come and I come almost every other day. I called around 7:20 to ask what time the kitchen closes, I was told 8. I tried calling back 15 minutes later after I got my order together so I knew what I wanted, no one answered. Called several times for the employees to act like they don't hear the phone. So I sent a friend to pick up food and drinks, he gets there @ around 7:40-7:45 to be told that the kitchen is closed. He explained the situation and asked for an exception to be made since WE WERE TOLD 8 less than 30 minutes ago. Keep in mind, he drove almost half an hour to be told something different in person. ALL the employees working tonight were rude and untrained in handling customer service. We were told no, there wouldn't be an exception. When asked neither one of the girls wanted to speak up to admit who took the phone and told us that time. I called up there to speak to a manager and Chance, something starting with a C, was completely unprofessional and rude. When I CALMY explained the situation he said "uhhh what do you want me to do?" Like "uuhhhhh" have some empathy? Is that hard ? To be considerate and to put yourself in someone's shoes. This isn't the first time this location rushes to shut down so they can close before closing time. & when I asked to speak to a manager Or supervisor I was told I have to call Saturday at 3 (it's Wednesday). I had my friend get a refund and asked him to leave. I will not step foot in this establishment or spend another dime with them! Rude, rude, rude !! I'll be reaching out to management but even still I will not spend my money for piss poor quality. read more

The bubble smoothie drinks here are flavored syrup mixed with ice with boba in. The cups are cheap(like thin solo cups) and break before I can even get them to my car. In addition I think they are way overpriced for the product. The whole cafe feels like grease when you're in it. I have been multiple times and have had the same experience each time. But the guy behind the counter is really nice and helpful! I just can't get over the rest of the experience. IMO they should improve the bubble tea drinks (and cups!) since it's a bubble tea cafe, clean the place- walls, counters, those booths beside the counter etc. It all feels like grease. But, ultimately, I probably won't go back after two negative encounters with the owner, one in person and one with how they handle negative feedback. Because of the positive social media attention is why I even kept going back to this place to keep giving it a chance, but that doesn't resolve the issues I had. I've given this place several chances and they're drinks are seriously lacking flavor. I had one good experience but the rest were not enjoyable. The first time I went I ordered a Thai snow bubble smoothie and it was perfect. However, I've gone two additional times and asked to order a Thai boba smoothie and I was told they were out of Thai tea and that it takes 5 days to make it? So I opted for a honey dew smoothie and a caramel latte smoothie. Both were soo watery and tasted like nothing! I was pretty upset that I spent 11 bucks on two drinks that had no flavor, I should have gone to LOL on Yadkin, their boba is so much more flavorful and you get much more bang for your buck. The first time we went a young guy made our drinks and they were excellent, but in our following visits they were made by a female employee. Perhaps she does not make drinks very well? I saw this place on yelp a few months back and begged to try it with family. The guy on staff wasn't sure what to suggest as he didn't have an opinion on sweet flavors so he asked his coworker to help us. It was a warm day with a little rain. So I was in the mood for something sort like a frappuccino milk tea. The staff member assisting us was friendly and helpful although she didn't suggest anything like a frap. We were unsure of any flavor besides original milk tea we tried once before at a restaurant in town. The staff member have gave my mom and I a sample of milk tea which we liked. My mom didn't really like the boba and I thought it was okay though I was scared they may choke me if I slurped too hard. The drink was finished quickly and led us to think was it worth $10 for two drinks. I may come back with a friend or family member so they can try it. The atmosphere was sort of laid back. Customers came and went. Rock music played, open door, outside seating, plenty of seating, magazines, games, books, and clean bathroom. The decor was cute and I don't think I noticed the cat painting on the wall. Some fellow patrons recommended poppers and smoothies even though it was their first visit too. Cute place, I like the the fact it has games in the corner making it a very fun place to interact and wait for your drinks and food. A little cramped near the order area but the people at the counter fill my order quickly and I'm left to sit and wait for it to be completed. The fruity smoothies are quite delightful. Their tea drinks, as an avid tea drinker, are a little on the watery side, but the food is good and the other drinks, especially the mango and coffee drinks, are quite a treat. read more

Bubble tea done right! I always make time to stop by Bubble Tea Express when i'm in down. I was actually pretty surprised originally to find a place like this tucked in the slightly rundown Westwood shopping center in Fayetteville. The area has never really been known for it's unique food or drinks, tending to stay more on the chain side....But Bubble Tea Express was a very pleasant surprise! The second you walk in you're greeted kindly and offered help with the extensive menu. They pretty much have any time of bubble tea / Thai tea you could think of, as well as a variety of boba and popping bubbles to add to your drink! I've never had anything i've disliked from the menu, but if you're new to the whole bubble tea it may help to so some research before hand since the flavors are very strong and a few may be off putting if you're not used to them! PS: There is also a kiosk version of Bubble Tea Express at Cross Creek Mall (I think it's in front of Forever 21 but I could be wrong). Definately check it out if you're there! read more

I have been going here for years and normally everything goes smoothly and my order is always correct. I went yesterday and the cashier was more concerned about her cell phone and asked what my order was 3 times. I understand that we all have stuff going on in our life but when you are at work you should focus on work. When I payed she was texting and the young gentleman who was working with her was working his butt off and I'll give him that but when calling out my drinks he called out the wrong thing and remade one and once I got home realized my other drink I ordered was incorrect. I appreciated him remaking my drink that I realized was wrong but you could tell he was stressed and probably about had it because he wasn't happy when I told him that what he made was not what I had ordered. I think the cashier should have been more attentive to the orders she was taking than her phone and should have helped the young gentleman catch up on all the orders because it took 30-45 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I got my drinks. This place is alright. The free drink you get is kinda a whack deal because they don't let you add boba, and it has to be a small (none of which is stated on the punch card). Who knew Fayetteville would have a great bubble tea place?? Our local friends brought us here for a quick afternoon snack and we were pleasantly surprised by the perfect texture of the boba (tapioca bubbles) in our taro bubble tea. They have a lot of interesting holiday/seasonal flavors going on right now too, like peppermint milk tea and chai. Love this place! They have a great menu full of variety & though I haven't had everything, I haven't gone wrong yet. The food is really great & letting you customize your level of spice is fabulous. To Michelle: Boba is cooked in a pot on the stove & is actually warm when it is put into your drink, so it was actually your frozen drink that caused them to be frozen. Had my first bubble tea experience last night. I got the traditional milk tea with boba jellies. The cashier did a good job explaining everything. I know I'll be more adventurous my next time around. I read another review on here that said their large only had about 15 jellies that were cut in half. Mine had way more, I slurped quite a few down while drinking, and then after the liquid was all gone, I physically counted 23. So probably around 35 total. That review was from 2 years ago. Lots of neat flavors, and I think I'm going to do something with the flavored green tea and fruit boba. No word on the food. I also love that it's got that sealed lid thing which is great for travel. Went in to order a boba milk tea, but wasn't greeted or asked to hold on despite standing at the register for at least 5 minutes. There were no other customers in the store at the time. Staff saw us, but refused to look us in the eye or acknowledge us. A small roach was seen crawling on the divider by the register. There were three employees at the time. Woah b!! I was in Fayetteville for the first time to attend the international festival and I visited their booth bc BOBA!! This used to be my favorite boba tea place....but today I came in at 3:10 and waited for 10-15 minutes just to place my order (there was only one guy ahead) and now I'm still here waiting for a simple milk tea with boba 25 minutes later. One of the employees seems to be doing all the work while the other employees are on their phone and in the back. I've come here many times before and it's never been like this. :( so disappointed. Okay, so my my large hot strawberry tea with boba cost $5.24. Kinda expensive to start off with right? After I pay and they start making the tea I'm told that no, you can't actually have tapioca boba in your hot tea, which cost me an extra 55 cents. So I politely ask: "could I please get the money back for the boba that you didn't put in my tea?" And get this: They tell me no, they don't offer "refunds." Excuse me, that's not a refund. I paid for my order under the impression I would get everything included in said order. So I engage the employee in a polite counter argument, stating this point. But, they refused to give me my literal 55 cents back, which they essentially stole (not to mention only filling my cup about 4/5 of the way). I first tried bubble tea at a restaurant in town and was hooked. I found this place and was instantly in love with the HUGE selection of flavors.
