Pretty tasty and good options for milk tea and sweet crepes. We came here before COVID and recently and you could see the differences of interior in pictures. We definitely prefer this location than its downtown location for cleanliness, spaciousness and savory food options. Both my husband and I have had many boba teas before, including many times in California and Taiwan, and this place's teas are quite legit. We tend to lean toward the tea leaves brewed but their powder tea options are good too. The popcorn chicken is a classic street food and flavored well here; though it'd be much better and juicier if they'd use chicken thighs instead of chicken breast. The teriyaki chicken crepe is decent - more heavy on the soy flavor and very few pieces of meat, and on a semi-crunchy crepe. We also had their Nutella strawberry and Nutella strawberry banana crepes, both were delicious and we enjoyed every bite. Overall, when we crave for milk tea and in Columbia, we'd come here again! I had to drive an hour and half just have boba cause it's the closes one around. Hmm.. hhmmm..hhhmm so so good. I just hope that they would have different kinds of topping or bobba. Something like; coffee jelly, popping boba, aloe, red beans, lychee and many more. Lovee the thai tea at this place. The thai tea here comes pretty close to a actual thai restuarants tea. The booba isnt my favorite but I still get it in my thai tea very sparingly. They have a huge selection and I plan to try some other things pretty soon. read more

Absolutely love this spot. I've been going to Bubble Cup Tea Zone for years, but I am so incredibly happy with the aesthetic of the Southside location. The furnishings and decor are incredibly clean, modern, and elegantly simple. This location is significantly more spacious than its downtown counterpart, and the menu also seems to be more expansive. I usually just go for their fruit teas, especially grapefruit, passion fruit, lychee, and peach, and I'll usually opt for lychee jelly or occasionally the mini boba. Their drinks never fail to disappoint, although I do wish that there were more opportunities to customize them. It's difficult to adjust the sugar levels in the fruit drinks because the syrups usually contain most of the sugar, so I would love if Bubble Cup managed to find a way around that, as many other boba shops I've been to have. The service is always speedy and efficient, and their punch card system is a delight...I love being rewarded for my mild boba addiction. Although we aren't able to enjoy this now because of the pandemic, they also have a lovely game room in the back of the shop with a Nintendo Switch and couches. It's generally first come first serve, and there's a sliding door that you can use to give your group a bit of privacy. Overall, 8/10 on the boba, 10/10 on the aesthetics. read more

I have been to the other location inside Pan-Asia supermarket, and the quality here was just as good as the one I got from there last time. I prefer this location over downtown, spacious inside and spacious parking lot. They have a large menu, and the space is great for a study spot. Its fast and friendly, and practically the only place you can get milk tea in town. It may not be quality milk tea, but for being in the Midwest it's the best we are probably going to get. read more

Update: went back and tried the fried pork dumplings and the Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Both were incredible. This is the second location in town. Just as big of a fan of this one as I am the first one. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Glad that this spot opened so I don't have to deal with downtown and university parking when I want good bubble tea. Definitely worth a try if you want the authentic stuff. The girls that work here are so rude. I drove 2 hours to get bubble tea and the girl was handing me my drink while it was leaking from the hole at the bottom and went on to put another cup UNDERNEATH and have it all leak into the other cup????? I said make me a new one politely and she poured into another cup w legit no syrup I said no. She kept promising me everything in there was the same and if I wanted to get a new one, to PAY FOR ANOTHER. Pay for another from your mistake? Absolutely not. Staff is incredibly friendly! My mother is not a fan of sweet drinks and we're able to give good direction as to how to order something better suited for her. Great atmosphere, they do stay in theme and play a lot of popular Asian Pop music. Not too loud but if you're at a table under the speakers, it's not ideal for having a conversation with someone who is hard of hearing. The food is great as well! We got the tempura shrimp bento and the pork bento boxes. Each bento comes with your protein of choice, rice, egg roll, vegetables, seaweed salad, and potato salad. It is fantastic for the price! As for drinks we got the honey back tea (with boba pearls) and the lavender milk tea (with boba pearls). The teas are very sweet, so ask staff for recommendations if not a fan of sweet drinks. The crepes took a little time to get out and seemed a little crunchy in some places and too soft in others but they were still pretty decent. Still highly recommend trying it out! read more

The kitchen messed up my order multiple times this past month, ordered Wonton noodle soup, was given Kung Fu noodle or a different noodle on different visits.... Decided to try it again tonight, ordered my usual Wonton Noodle soup and black tea (they got the Wonton Noodle right first try tonight and tastes like it used to! Tried this restaurant for the first time since they added delivery. Delivery was fast and my order was correct, but unfortunately I was not a fan. The dumplings were the highlight and they were just OK. The veggie tempura had an unexpected and heavy 5-spice flavor, and the whole dish was off in texture. Enoki mushrooms were too heavily battered and hard. Sweet potatoes were limp. Tofu was not appetizing, especially with the flavor profile. The Taiwanese beef noodle soup had the same flavor. The beef was tender, though. The takoyaki were dense and I couldn't identify the octopus in them. Overall, the food was just OK. Others may like it more than I did. I did not try any of their tea or crepes and that is their specialty. And, to be fair, the dine-in experience may be better since food texture can get weird when it steams in closed containers for delivery. read more

This place is one of my favorite boba places, and I go at least twice a week. However, I will say that sometimes their drinks can be inconsistent. Sometimes the Taro milk tea will have way too much powder, the boba can be flavorless, or the cookies and cream snow can be too milky. I wouldn't really recommend the actual food, it's a little bit pricey for the wait and the taste. Also some of the workers there can have an attitude when you're ordering. I've gotten this drink a lot, but accidentally said the wrong thing, a Hot Taro Latte. And the girl taking my drink order was being rude and telling me that they can't do that, rather than telling me what drink I needed to be ordering - a Hot Taro Milk Tea. Another time I came in was the same girl, I was ordering 6 drinks for my friends and I on a hot day of Band camp, and she gave us an attitude for not calling in my order ahead of time even though I didn't know that I could do that. But anyways, it's the one of the only and best boba places of Columbia still, and I'll just keep going. read more

super disappointed. pulled up at bubblecup at 8:15 this evening. hours online and on the door say they close at 9pm. we drove to this location because it was on our way back to Jeff City. 2 girls were working inside with all the lights on and the open sign was even on, but the doors were locked and the two girls just stood there and shook their heads at us when we approached the door. no sign or any explanation as to why they were closed almost an hour early. just an overall disappointing experience and felt quite sad as we don't have anything as good as BubbleCup in JC. probably won't be going back as this has left a bad taste in my mouth for the customer service. read more

Very disappointed in the lack of knowledge the staff has. They have items labled as Non-Dairy. When I ordered my item the associate assured me no dairy products are used in making that tea. I ordered it and went about my way. Thirty minutes later while at work I begin to get an unsettling feeling in my stomach. I didn't finish it but returned to the store and asked to see the ingredient list in their non-dairy creamer. I asked him to look for milk and Caseinate but he was hesitant. He showed me a bag of non dairy creamer used by the food section that had those two ingredients. He kept trying to tell me the tea isn't made with that one. However, I went to the rest room area and noticed another creamer of another brand that also contained those two ingredients. Be careful and make sure you ask because it seems they are not aware what is contained in what they serve. Also, he was not all considered about me nor was he empathetic. read more
