As soon as I told her my dog was a Chow and was groomed every 6 weeks she automatically stated they were no longer accepting dogs over 50lbs. Rascal weighs 60 lbs is very used to being groomed and gets along with all other animals. Kelly recommended Pet Smart. I mean seriously this place was supposed to be above and beyond and for my dog that I do go above and beyond for she recommends Pet Smart. I was told to call A Groom Above by someone that owns a Husky and they do their grooming. So if you're looking for bigger dog grooming look else where. The attitude as soon as I told her what breed my dog was said it all.

We dropped off one of our rescued Yorkies for her scheduled $65 grooming appointment. The business's posted hours are 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Apparently, they decided to close early today and called/texted us asking us to pick her up earlier than expected. Unfortunately, we missed the call and text. We called **before their normally posted 4:00 PM closing time**, explained that we were on our way, and went to pick up our little girl. When my wife arrived, however, we were presented with a bill of **$91** and told there was an additional charge because we were "late" picking her up. What bothered us most wasn't even the additional charge--it was the owner's attitude toward my wife. There are professional and courteous ways to handle a misunderstanding with a customer, particularly a returning customer who has trusted you with four of their dogs. Unfortunately, that isn't what we experienced. If a business decides to close earlier than its publicly posted hours, I don't believe a customer should be treated disrespectfully or penalized because they weren't aware of that change and missed a phone call. We have trusted this groomer with our dogs in the past, but after today's experience, **we will not be returning with any of our four dogs.** That's unfortunate, because until today, we had been repeat customers.

Total charges is now $67. When booking, there is an alert that says "Prices may vary by store, breed, coat condition & service time. A surcharge applies to all grooming services Friday through Sunday." That surcharge is equal to the higher rate. So either, they have increased the window from Thursday to Sunday, or their system is not accurate. When I called into the store, they said that it's a "holiday weekend" as such the surcharge applies. Today is Thursday. April 2nd. My company has switched to a "full transparent" fee guide. Meaning every possible fee we can charge is 100% listed on all our sites. No where does it say on Petsmart site that there are "Holdiay" surcharges. In fact, the only mention of surcharges is on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Again, today is Thursday.
