I've come here a few times (okay, let's be honest, I come here when Groupon allows me to purchase the deal again). It's always been a great value. Today, however, was different... Sometimes the person scanning my printed out voucher forgets to take the paper or I forget to throw it away. Today I presented a voucher and without ANY attitude, the guy, Luis, tells me that it's already been redeemed. I apologize and give him the other sheet I have. He scans that one and give me a thumbs up and tells me it's all good and it's for a platinum wash. When I go through and the drying process begins, Luis runs from the other side, taps my window, and just as I'm about to be told that the other voucher was also not valid, he tells me that the computer messed up and I went through the wash on a basic package, not the platinum package. He tells me to turn around and go through the wash again to make sure I get the platinum treatment. At the beginning of this review I said "let's be honest." So, let's be honest, I could've driven away without knowing I'd only received the basic and not the platinum. Car poorly cleaned, dirt still all over. Pink soap foam streaking down the sides, not rinsed. Top, hood, and the back not cleaned, dirt and road grime still there. Especially the back, didn't look like it was cleaned at all. No attendant around to talk to. Definitely won't be retuning to this place. read more

I just canceled my membership at Bubbles Car Wash because the staff is rude and racist. On one occasion, I arrive there at 5:48 and was told I could not vacuum my car because they turn off the vacuums are 5:45. But the two cars ahead of me was able to vacuum their car. Also, I noticed the staff park their cars and use the handicap space regularly. On Friday, I saw one of the employees vacuuming his car in the handicap space. I asked him if he could move because I had a disabled placard. He asked me why I couldn't use another stall because they are all the same. I reminded him, disable spaces are for people who have special needs and need to be close. I asked him if all the spaces are the same, why didn't he use the other spaces. I asked for his name. He refused to give his name and drove away. I asked the cashier ( she has red hair) for the manager or owner contact. She said, there was no manager over the business. Then she responded, are you canceling your membership ? Cancel your membership and don't come back. I would like to hear from the owner so he or she knows why people are leaving the membership. I bought a Groupon for car wash. It was my 1st time there and to be honest it was a bit confusing as there wasn't good signage. I made it through anyway, and realized it was really just a regular drive thru car wash, followed by a super quick hand-drying session for the Butterfly side of the car that was not thorough (they missed quite a bit of spot, didn't evem clean my mirrors and missed on the side of the car). Even the actual car washing missed spots too, though my car was certainly cleaner overall. They had a self service vacuuming station with really long hoses, but depending on which vacuum you got, they might not have strong suctions. The spot I got, had a reasonable strong suction for the left side, but notnon the right so the left side of the carpet was cleaner than the right side lol. Overall, if you don't have a facility at your home to do the washing and you want a machine to just do it while.you sit inside the car. And if you're not fussy about the thoroughness, I think this place is alright. I would not pay full price though. read more

Too much dirt left behind at the rear, and cleaning foam streaking down the side. Once it's done with your car, there's no red/green light to let you know. Nor that slight finishing "push" from the conveyor machine. I had to double check to ensure the car isn't being moved anymore before I slowly pulled out, trying to get as much blow dry for the back of the vehicle. They have a couple of folks hand dry after you drive out of the automated wash which is nice. But I'm gonna stick with Kaady car wash even though it's farther away. read more

Showed up at 4:45 PM I'm next in line with my Apple Pay ready , a different associate comes from the back and says they do not take Apple Pay, even though I always pay with apple pay. He then proceeds to say that they are closing in 15 minutes and that the vacuums aren't going to be available yet their business hours are until 6 PM. I usually have my car washed here and I had no complaints, but the lady who took my payment today( I believe her name is Claudia), was very rude! I placed my car where indicated and the machine pulled the car through with out washing it. I went back and and tried to tell her, but she denied it and began to blame me. She raised her voice while speaking to me in a condescending tone. I told her I was a regular customer and I knew how the system worked, she replied by saying if I was a regular customer she would remember me(Seriously?!) she's not the only one working there. Something about car washes soothe me, nd its cheaper than retail therapy. Anyway, I love the deal on Groupon. At the end of the wash, your car is hand dried for any remaining water. Vacuuming is free. Theres a five minute limit to be courteois to others if there is a long wait, but considering how this year has been I don't foresee there being too many people waiting for quite some timw. read more

I go to Bubbles Car Wash Express regularly. It's close to my house, quick and not expensive. I usually go for the deluxe package, since my little commuter car gets a lot of miles and deserves it. This place is a lot nicer and easier than the Kady carwash in Albany, yet similar set up. Drive through the carwash, blow dry and vaccum yourself. Except at Bubbles, they have employees that towel off your mirrors, car body and bumpers. That's the extra step that keeps me coming back. read more

It is always very busy on most evenings when I pass by, which is a good sign because you know the service will be good. Side note: this was my first time going to a drive thru car wash. Overall great service. I don't recommend taking your luxury car through but it does do a great job cleaning my beater car I take to SF and Oakland. Don't go on Sunday mornings since the lady doesn't move much and won't do a thorough job wiping down your car after. You will regret it. Reading Groupon reviews is also helpful (since many people buy their 3-pack that way). Believe the reviews about the rude woman at the front. She will bang on your window and get aggressive about the car being in neutral. When your car still doesn't move, and you honk, she will then pull her mask down to yell at you. Unfortunately, the car was in neutral and she had to reset the track. No need to behave this way. I'll also echo that the other reviews about some of the services not being performed is accurate. And when they do them, it's only on the drivers side. The car has NEVER come out completely clean, not once. And the lot where you vacuum is almost always grows and unkempt. read more

Bubbles Car Wash is great! I purchased a one-use voucher on Groupon for $7, and it seems they often offer discount promotions on there. This is by far the cheapest, fastest car wash I could find in the bay - in and out in five minutes!! Plus, there's free, self-serve vacuuming stations at the end of the wash. Pro tip: try to go during off times (a weekday afternoon was perfect for me) to avoid the wait for a vacuum. The outside of the establishment is not the cleanest and the wash may not get ~every~ nook and cranny, but for less than half the price of other car washing places in the bay? This place exceeds my expectations for its affordability, speed, and free vacuuming amenities. My car came in filthy (having driven through multiple bug swarms, bird poop, mud--you name it) but now it is sparkling clean. Thanks, Bubbles! read more

I don't understand how business that's supposed to be operating can just close whenever they feel like it. There has been many occasions that I have tried to patronize this car wash either in the morning when they're supposed to be open, or in the afternoon before they're supposed to be closed and either the workers are late, or they shut down. Today I'm currently posting at 4:43 the car wash which is supposed to be open until 5PM has been closed for the at least 30 minutes! First of all the wash was just ok. They left my back bumper filthy. But my complaint was that they busted off my antenna. Clear off. Had to shut down the system to find it. The employee came out with 5 of the same ones. Obviously an issue. First I was told they aren't responsible. Then after I pressed I was told the manager would call me Monday morning. I used to go to Kaady car wash in El Cerrito but after a groupon special, started coming here instead (plus it's closer to home and with way less traffic issues). Now this is my favored car wash to use. Their machines do a pretty good job of cleaning your car up. And it is nice to have the staff that hand dry the car afterward vs just the machine's forced air drying. And the free vacuum is good too. Well, maybe it isn't quite free. The high end wash here is notably more expensive then Kaady in El Cerrito, but Kaady doesn't give you free vacuum access or hand drying, so I guess it all washes out (ha ha, see what I did there?). Still, easy to get to and out of, good work cleaning the car, nice job Bubbles! 5th star if the prices (at least the higher optioned washes) were $2-$3 cheaper cause then it would be a great deal. read more

There are many levels of cleaning from a basic car wash at $8 (only $6 with the Yelp check in----$2 off any level of washing.) You pay as you go in letting them know what level of wash you want. You remain in your car as the Bubbles does its work. When your car is done with the Bubbles tunnel there is a duo of people that hand dry your car. After you are done you can get FREE unlimited vacuuming with notice limit. Basic and affordable. From their website: "Also, our wastewater gets treated. 100% of the dirty water from the car wash goes to a wastewater treatment plant where pollutants are removed. If you wash your vehicle in the driveway, the dirty water and chemicals end up in our Bays via storm drains. That includes brake dust, road grime, and oil." This is a solid car wash for what it is. A regular car wash costs around $11, but you can check in on yelp to get two dollars off. It takes about 3 minutes to go all the way through and then when they wipe the car down at the end. There are also vacuums to clean the cars at the end as well by yourself. Gets the job done. This place really doesn't seem to care much about maintaining their equipment. On two separate visits, I noticed that both the right rotating brush arms don't even reach your car and the wheel spray does not work. It's annoying that management doesn't really care about shorting their customers, and the workers there don't really have any control over the mechanical issues. read more

I drive all the way from Lafayette to go here. The Groupon makes it an excellent value. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Car gets a hand scrub down on the way in, a million things done to it on the way through, then a hand dry on the way out. Car comes out clean. Win. Then my favorite part! Free vacuums that are more powerful than a Midwest twister. And garbage cans to throw away all the garbage you've accidentally stowed. I have a five year old who likes to eat in the car and bring every falling-apart project home from school, so you can imagine my struggle. I can get the interior back to when I bought it within 15 minutes. Not much interacting with the staff, but that just adds to efficiency. This place is pretty awesome. We found them through GROUPON and generally have not had any issues here. The model of the service is similar to Quick Quack car wash chains (or visa versa). There is free vacuuming, and it's a pretty decent-sized lot and I've never had a problem getting a vacuum going there in the morning as they just open. The only downsides of this place, if you don't like to tip, is that they usually have a couple of people standing there to wipe off any excess water after the car wash. That pat down usually only takes 1-2 minutes, but of course actual people makes it more likely that you should tip, so I do. I've tipped anywhere from $2-$5 for their help. The chemicals that they use are also supposed to be environmentally friendly, so that is definitely another plus. This is a pretty neat car wash place! read more
