Everything here is super flavorful. I LOVE the bibimbap bowl and Korean wings. I love the diversity in the menu too- from bowls, to sandwiches, to burgers, the options are diverse to satisfy anyone. My husband's go-to is the cheesesteak, and it is the best I've ever tasted- love the twist on a classic cheesesteak!

I came here because it was conveniently located near the Target. I was pleasantly surprised by all of the variety on the menu. I was expecting ramen only but ended up getting bibimbop and a side of kimchi. The kimchi was super good with the perfect amount of spice. The bibimbop was good and very filling. The quality and portion for the price was great. The space itself is a little cold and sterile but they have spaces for small or large groups and they have one of those grass Instagram walls. The employees were friendly and efficient. Overall, a great place for a very unique meal.

I have been going to Bubblys ever since it was known as House of Nom Nom in that original tiny space, so being able to visit it in its larger space is exciting. Bubblys is a laidback spot for fusion Asian eats, ranging from classic bibimbap to banh mi fries. Their new space has an industrial feel with several steel tables to seat people. There is a chill atmosphere for people to eat. The service is fine, but it can take some time for the food to come out depending on how busy they are. On my most recent visit to Bubblys, I got their Loaded Fries and Lychee Bubble Tea with Popping Pearls. As always, the Loaded Fries were a hit for me! The Loaded Fries consisted of cheese, bacon bits, sour cream, and scallions, which are a great combination. I also ate some of the Kimchi Fries which were also good! The kimchi gave is a sour flavor, so if you are not a fan of that on your fries, do not get it. The Kimchi Fries supposedly come with bulgogi beef, but I could not find them on the fries. I am unsure if they were just really small pieces, but I hope that there is more of a presence for the bulgogi beef as it could have helped with the sour taste coming from the kimchi. The Lychee Bubble Tea with Popping Pearls was yummy, but be warned that their bubble tea is actually a slush. I have not had the chance to try an actual full meal from the place, but what I have tried has been good. I think that Bubblys is a good introduction to Asian food for people who are not too familiar with the cuisines and flavors, especially in a city like Hickory. I want more Asian restaurants to thrive in Hickory so I support this spot!

Had some fancy pork ramen, an amazing hamburger, delightful fries, kids chicken nuggets and some boba. Go for the red chili oil as it has the perfect level of burning joy. We sat outside and enjoyed this fabulous treat. My eldest had a side of rice and loved every grain. Service was prompt and friendly. Our order was taken and we were provided a buzzer to inform us of when our meal was ready for pick up. Appreciated that the ramen came with sturdy plastic chop sticks. Several notices to check your order before leaving the counter to ensure accuracy. Our order was very accurate so this was not an issue. We will return to explore more of this appetizing menu.

The restaurant was busy on a Friday night, when you see the place busy that means it must be really good. The staff that took our orders were nice and kind. I also like the set up for the restaurant, the decor is nice. However, the place felt like it not kept up well, but may be it is Friday they are busy and hard to kept up. We didn't want Ramen, as it was hotter in the summer. So we ordered the burgers, the burgers bun felt really dry and the meat patties are also on the dryer side. The most disappointing point is the teriyaki burger didn't seem to have any type of teriyaki flavor in it. The fries was good. I looked around I saw everyone is ordering Ramen, so may be I just ordered the wrong things. I will try again next time in the area.

Yum! Yum! Yum! I really enjoyed this restaurant. The cashier was patient and friendly, because it definitely took me a while to decide what I wanted. The food came out piping hot and it was SO good! I had the Bibimbap, garlic soy wings, & a mango boba tea. Bibimbap 4/5 - I love spinach but for some reason it didn't blend well with the other flavors & they gave me too much rice.....I'll just ask for my rice on the side next time. The Korean sauce was lovely. Garlic soy wings 4/5 - they were good, but I thought the wings would be more like Korean fried chicken. Mango boba tea with tapioca 5/5 The restaurant is spacious and clean. I'll definitely be back

Like some recent Yelpers, I agree that it is easy to miss the restaurant as the entrance comes up quick and there is limited parking. But after we turned around and looked again we found it. The location was at the end of a strip center and the staff was very quiet so take a few minutes to look over the menu as there are a number of items. We both got Bahn Mi sandwiches, mine was beef and my wife had the chicken. I thought mine could have used a little more acid in the sandwich or some heat, but it was good. What was excellent though was the Kim Chee fries that were so good, delicious, and full of flavor, and left me wanting all of them. Great stop even if it is a little hard to find.

The food was not bad. It was nice to have cuisine that is different from the norm. My only criticism of the food is that compared to many of the places right around the area, the burger patties were not very thick and didn't seem to be freshly made. This place is incredible for an Asian Fusion meal, blended eastern culture with american favorites. LOVE THE KOREAN flavors! The fries are killer and a must-have - the burgers are GREAT! Great food. I got the pho burger perfect sweetness and spiciness. The bean sprouts and cilantro were very fresh as well. Probably the only fusion food in town. I will definitely be going back here. The wings (they let us order three flavors) and the bubble tea was also very good as well. The staff were both very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back here. read more

Asian fusion place with very well thought out concept. Kim chi fries were good, not really spicy. Banh mi sandwich was good, with a twist on the original. The wings are not disjointed, so it's the full thing which my husband didn't like, but the sauce choices are good. Bibimbop plate was good, but the rice wasn't very hot. The bubble tea with boba is wonderful, but many flavors are out of order. Should have some spicer sauce choices in my opinion. The decor was very cute. The service was quick. read more

i was in the mood for some banh mi and this was the first place that came up in yelp. after entering, and getting a menu from the cashier, be careful because the printed menu doesn't have banh mi sandwiches listed, but the video board does, also there is a small paper sign that says they server banh mi. i ordered a pork banh mi sandwich with extra pork ($1.75 add on) and some Korean hot wings. the pork had a really good flavor to it and well worth the price. i would recommend the pork banh mi to anyone. the korean hot wings were spicy for me. i had 2 out of the 6 wings before my mouth felt like it was on fire. i would be back to try their waffle cones. read more

Great little find in Hickory! Relatively new as well. Have eaten here a few times and have not been disappointed at all. Food is made to order so it takes a few minutes after you order to be served, but in my opinion I would gladly wait to have fresh food! Always been greeted as soon as we walk in and everyone there has always been helpful. Would recommend to anyone! read more

My boyfriend loves this place so much, he finally took me here last week. I loved my burger and the loaded potato fries. The bubble waffle is simple yet amazing. We got it with powdered sugar. I also enjoyed the bubble tea smoothie. Definitely going to come back read more

The staff is so friendly!! My papaya salad had the perfect amount of spice, but the avocado bubble tea smoothie topped my expectations. You could definitely have the smoothie as a meal. The only suggestion for this place would be to have more Thai options. I will definitely be back! read more

The service and food here are great! The food is different than anything else in Catawba County. For a burger joint, it doesn't get much better. The young lady talked me into the tapioca pearls for my coconut mango bubble and I'm a big fan! I had their pork bahn mi sandwich which is reminiscent of fast food in HA. I added the grilled pineapple off a friend's burger and it was great. We tried one of their specialty fries for a group of four and no one complained, we even had other friends come who tried a taste. No one was disappointed in the food or the service. For that, we give it five stars. Will definitely make this a staple in our going out nights If you go during rush hour, you may end up with take out as the seating is limited. read more

Ive got mixed feelings about this place. Its a hip asian inspired burger place. Think like the whole korean taco craze of a few years ago but instead of tacos, its bahn mi burgers. Im used to places like this in Atlanta or other large cities and if this was located in a big city I would rate it much lower but just for having the balls to try and pull this off in Hickory NC Im going to give it 3 stars. I had the bahn mi burger and an order of Bulgogi fries. Both were pretty ok. It was a little expensive but not crazy, Im not going to complain too much. I was actually surprised how tasty the bahn mi burger was. But it could have been great. I was disappointed to see they cheaped out on the hamburger bun and the hamburger patty. They used cheap school cafeteria style hamburger bun and a cheap frozen patty like you get from walmart. I mean, it tasted good but if they had put a little more effort into having better ingredients it would have been awesome. Try harder guys! Ill probably go back from time to time. Its a fun little place, just could be great if they try a little harder. read more

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food! I ordered the Asada Fries and they were so good. The salsa fries like Pace Canned Salsa, but still a good item. The boba smoothie was really great, however they were out of a lot of flavors. I recommend having the smoothie, regardless. They coconut smoothie is amazing. read more

Finally got the chance to try this place and it was great! The atmosphere is really nice and clean. Their bubble teas are probably the closest to "authentic" in Hickory area. Unlike many other restaurants in Hickory where they basically blend a smoothie, throw some tapioca and call it bubble tea. Would definitely be coming back! read more

Have been here three times so far and I can honestly say this is my go to restaurant in Hickory! I love the atmosphere and the staff is wonderful :) Not to mention the food.. Me and my boyfriend have traveled all around the world and to find a good Asian fusion place is a rarity. The sauces are what really caught my eye.. Or shall I say my tongue! They're the right amount of tangy with just a touch of spicy but not to the point where I'd need to down 5 gallons of water! He absolutely loves the pickled vegetables in the subs and I can't get enough of the pineapple teriyaki burger. Still have yet to try the wings and fries but everything else down to the bubble tea is perfect! Definitely suggest trying this place out! read more

The egg rolls were golden and crispy, packed with savory filling that was comforting and familiar. For drinks, the mango bobas stole the show--sweet, tropical, and fun with their chewy pearls. Pho Lodge is definitely on the top of our list when visiting Hickory.

I asked, "If they are not letting customers out, is it ok for me to smoke inside." To which she responded, that they will kick me out of I did. At this point I was getting heated. I decided if an establishment wanted to just make up rules as the night went on. They don't deserve my business. I gladly left the event. I feel if they had a designated smoking area to allow smoking customers traffic in and out of their establishments. There wouldn't have been any negative disagreements with customers. Which also would resolve her "in and out" traffic at the entrance. If she was really looking for the saftey of her customers. She needs to hire security and check customer coming in. Also, if she wanted to make any kind of changes to her event while it was going on. She should make an annoucement, if not post ot somewhere. Yet making rules along the way is very unprofessional. All in all this money hungry owner doesn't give any care in the world about anyone but her selfish greedy self.

What should have been a satisfying Asian Fusion culinary adventure quickly morphed into an underwhelming dining ordeal. The Bahn Mi fries we ordered had a promising crunch to them, but they were sadly sparse on meat. The Bibimbap bowl was another letdown, plagued with fatty meat that lacked the freshness one expects in such a traditionally wholesome dish. A notable dish was the Sapporo miso ramen, which was good, though it did fall short of our expectations. The noodles were a bit overcooked, and given the price, we expected better quality. The Creme Brûlée boba tea was a delightful treat - creamy, sweet, and with delightfully chewy boba pearls. Still, this single high point doesn't redeem the overall experience. Service was below par, and the cleanliness of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. Dirty floors and tables aren't conducive to an enjoyable meal, adding to the overall disappointment. The steep prices don't match the quality of food or the environment here at Bubblys. Regrettably, we won't be making a return visit. Holy smokes! The Bulgogi Burger was so amazing! Full of flavor and love! We also had the Asada fries and it was absolute bliss! A simple dish with complex flavors that ranged from sweet to savory, salty and tangy, acid from the lime slice cut into the meat and elevated all the flavors. I can't wait to come back! We showed up after hiking all day 5 mins before closing. The gentleman behind the register explained everything, and the tea smoothie was great and exactly how he described it! We sat outside as they locked the doors and brought our food to us! Great service and atmosphere! Everyone no matter the taste should go.
