I came at lunch time on a weekday and it was not busy. There are a handful of tables to eat inside. Looks like alot of customers ordered to go. The only place I know of that serves stuffed chicken wings. I ordered intestines for appetizers and a sample platter. I wanted to try something different and it did not diappoint my taste buds. The intestines is well seasoned. The sampler platter came with roasted duck, crispy fried pork belly, stuffed fried chicken(veggies:carrots and cabbage and vermicelli noodles) and purple sticky rice. There were all delicous. When in Hickory, Ill make sure to stop by and try there other foods on the menu.

Navaam: rose jelly, tapioca, and coconut. Very sweet.

SE asian in Hickory. One of the best I've tried in NC state. They infused a lot of flavors from all over. Their Kapong noodles gave me nostalgic feeling of Malaysian laksa, tomyam, and prawn mee. Noodles a bit too soft though. Papaya Tray: though thai influenced, the salad is closer to a Malay rojak to me. The pork is definitely one of the better roast pork on this side of the state. The Hmong sausages are delicious. Overall, definitely worth the drive up from Charlotte if you're visiting this area

Papaya salad, sticky rice and crispy fried pork belly and a Thai tea

Loved that there was lots of Asian people eating there. To me that means much be pretty good. Green papaya salad was a little small but tasty and spicy, and loved I could get crispy fried pork belly and sticky rice. Too bad I from out of state and can't eat here, when I'm wanting southeastern Asian food.

I was driving from Morganton to Hickory and stumbled upon this little hole in the wall. The people inside were very nice and helpful. I have been wanting some good pho so when they said that that's one of the dishes they were known for, I immediately ordered. Everything came out very quickly and hot and fresh. The broth tasted delicious packed full of noodles and meat. I got a medium meatball and the bowl was huge. I did get a Thai tea Boba, but the Boba balls were hard and chewy. The restaurant itself was empty, but patrons were coming in and out to get to go orders the entire time I was there.

chicken pad Thai - was not pad Thai noodles Chicken pad see Beef fried rice - barely any beef Chicken teriyaki - small portion Portion sizes on the meat are small 2oz chicken ? Chicken overcooked - should have been sliced thin but was chunked Food quality is low - pretty much bottom of the barrel People seem nice - didn't want a leave a low review because they seem like nice people but the food just wasn't good Not sure why our experience is so different from the other high reviews which is why we stopped in

This restaurant is out of the way of my normal route in Hickory, but you should seek it out anyway. It looks like every Asian small restaurant I ever see on those Food Network shows: Not much to look at, but huge flavors. As it should be. When we were there, they were out of a few things I really wanted: Thai Tea and roast pork. I opted for a mangolata (I believe it was called). The mango part was delicious, but the red lata part was not for me. I took a few sips and was done. I felt like the red part was tomato-based. Just not a good combo. My daughter got purple taro bubble tea which was quite delicious. My daughter got the pad Thai, which was flavorful, especially when we doctored it with some of the spices and sauces on the table. I got the Duck platter which came with Peking duck and sticky purple rice. The rice had no flavor at all, but when we added soy sauce and ate it with the duck, it was fine. The duck was incredible. It was my first time having the roast duck and it won't be my last. We also ordered eggrolls, which they forgot and we had to wait on for quite a while. I felt they were worth the wait and were clearly handmade. The Good: Peking Duck Purple Taro Bubble Tea Pad Thai The Bad: Mangolata The Ugly: The interior. But you're there for the food so get over it :)

Was driving back home from a week in the mountains and stumbled on Duck N Good and it was good! I have never seen a Hmong place outside of the Midwest and we were quiet excited to stop by. It's very nondescript and in an industrial part of town but don't let that deter you. The dishes were excellent and the weird to us drink was also super tasty. The staff was super kind and answered our questions about the dishes. They did a good takeout business as well while we were there. We will be back!

    Perfect combo for under $10!

Hidden Gem Stopped…read morein after realizing the new Catawba Two Kings Casino still has limited food options. Found this spot online, open on a Sunday evening, and decided to give it a try. It was packed just after 7 PM, but I was seated immediately. Drinks hit the table within minutes -- super efficient. The menu is huge, and they carry all the Asian beers (Sapporo, Kirin, etc.), which was a nice surprise. I ordered the crab Rangoon, Thai fried rice, and the shrimp teriyaki plate. Everything came out piping hot and incredibly fresh -- you can taste the difference here. Portions were solid, flavors were on point, and nothing felt rushed or sloppy. Service is a 10/10. You can feel the family vibe -- everyone working together in harmony, smooth, friendly, and the place is clean with good energy. Highly recommend. I'll be back on the next casino run

It was on a Sunday at lunchtime and it wasn't busy, just one large table of about six people. The restaurant is a small but cute and clean. We sat down and we both got water and our waitress brought them right away and also brought us out some ginger soup. I ordered the Taste of Thai mixed appetizer and my husband ordered the hibachi chicken. Our food came out fairly quickly and everything was very good. The reason I am giving it one star is because after we looked at our bank statement two days later we realize that they had added on an extra $24.78 to the tip after the fact. Our total bill was $28.25. My husband left a tip of $8.75 (Over 30%) bringing our total that we paid to $37.00 but they charged us $61.78. I have added a photo of the price of our food from their website and also a screenshot of our bank app showing the $61.78 charge and the $24.78 reimbursement. The food is good, but the integrity here is not, so we will not be back.
