I visit my friend every year and i'm so happy that they finally have an asian fusion place near by for us to grab some food when we're craving since most places around the area are mainly americans fast food. the place is super clean and the decor were super cute as well. to top it off the food was delicious. i got the bibimbop, it was good but i'm so used to it being serve in a hot stone plate i felt like it was missing something. my friend got the banh mi sandwich and that was delicious, i took a bite out of it and wished i should of gotten that instead. my other friend got the bulgogi burger and she really enjoyed that as well. we both got the kimchi fries and loved it. super flavorful and the friends were super crispy. overall, 5/5 will deff eat here again. read more

What a great restaurant! I feel like I'm eating from a food truck, but with the comfort of tables and air conditioning. The employees are helpful in explaining food and kind when serving. The food is fresh and delicious. The Asian fusion spin on the burgers really works and it is great on the fries. The flavored teas are awesome, creamy and sweet. Pleasantly surprised to find this in Hickory after a long day of furniture shopping. A really solid Asian Fusion sandwich shop. The KimChi Fries were crushed by the kids, and they have cool sounding loaded fries. Can't go wrong here. The Banh Mi Burger is a great concept and sound terrific, but really it was just okay to me. Sorta missed the mark but better than any food court hamburgers. The Banh Mi sandwiches while not the best we have had were pretty good. I would go back to this place. read more

The Bulgoki burger was good - came with a soft fried egg, sweet bulgoki sauce, bean sprouts and ban-Chan spinach. Our boys got an American burger,l and regular fries, since we weren't sure of spice levels. Fries were also good since the fries were hand cut. Burger was fine, but the extra flavors in their specialty burgers are really what make them shine. The only disappointment were the egg rolls, I they were slightly under fried. Ok where do I start? This place is AWESOME ! Very very small restaurant located in a strip mall in hickory. The employees were very warm and welcoming ! The food? It was so good that I wanted to kidnapped the chef ‍ the teriyaki bowl was orgasmic ! Literally ! And the bubble tea was also really good ! I got mango ! My husband and I enjoyed coming here for the chicken teriyaki bowl, as it reminded us of one from California that we love. We were drawn in for the boba/tapioca, but they have limited selection and I prefer mine with almond or soy milk, which they do not offer. I tried their banh mi, which was good, but didn't seem authentic. On our last visit this past weekend, we were disappointed to find that the chicken bowl price went up but the quality seems to have gone down. The chicken just didn't taste as fresh, and my husband's bowl had tons of chicken fat. Had a chance to stop by House of Nom Nom with my fiancé while in Hickory just for the day. He had heard great things about it and wanted us to experience it together before leaving. Loved the atmosphere inside. It was quaint, clean, and I loved the music (Christian radio station was playing... small wins)! I got the Pork bahn mi sandwich and my fiancé and I shared some kimchee loaded fries. My sandwich was great! The pork was well flavored and it had jalapeños on it for that kick! The french bread it was in was soft and fresh. Finished that sandwich rather quickly. I actually wan't a big fan of the kimchee fries. I never had kimchee prior to that so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's definitely an acquired taste. I didn't dislike it but I didn't like it either. To drink I tried their Thai Tea and my fiancé had the mango bubble tea, both excellent! Next time we are in Hickory I definitely plan on stopping by again! read more

Not bad not bad. The only spot I found outside of So Cal to have Carne Asada fries. This is a true fusion spot and they have it on point.

Stopped here on the way through town yesterday, and enjoyed the teriyaki chicken bowl.

The slowest service I have ever experience. I called ten times in a period of 15 minutes to place a pick up order and got no answer. So I went there, was one customer in the whole building, ridiculous . Boba was good! food was mid and overpriced especially for the quality. read more

Pure genius combo! Even if you're not a Kimchi fan you will like these. And with all the toppings the fries still stay crispy! Next trip, I'm ordering the Carne Asada Fries too. The Bahn Mi is very good. As Sam noted, it's not quite Le's, but it's still pretty damn good. You can pick the fresh jalapeno slices off if you don't like the heat. I started working in Hickory in September and have not gone out to eat for lunch in Hickory until today. I've been craving Bibimbap for a while, so I tried Bubbles. I've only had Bibimbap at two places before...a Korean restaurant in an International supermarket and at this tiny hole in the wall restaurant. Both were incredible. Bubbles is Asian fusion from what I understand. So here are my thoughts: I had the Thai tea with boba in it. Very good but a bit too sweet. I've had Thai tea before and it wasn't so sweet. The bibimbap was good; however, the rice tasted sweet. And the sauce that came with it tasted like there was sugar added to it too. All in all, this was fine. I will go back here to try the bubble waffles and to try a different bubble tea. It's a really cute spot with tons of potential! read more

I stopped in for the first time today and overall I was very impressed. I tried the kimchi fries and bulgogi burger and both were delicious. I highly recommend trying the kimchi fries, if anything! I loved the quick service atmosphere with excellent quality food. The portion of kimchi fries is large so definitely share with a friend. The service was excellent and everyone was very attentive. The interior of the restaurant is so cute but I wish I could say the same for the exterior. It is hard to spot from the road. Regardless, this place is a real gem in Hickory.
